    Go the Warriors

Not a big league follower, I played with Dennis Williams many years ago for Te Atatu...............I think it was about the 8 year olds grade He was head and shoulders above anyone else even back then Always remember he scored a try under the posts, with his first touch of the ball in his debut test against England Really enjoy the NRL and the amount of promotion it gets on SKY, although all the shows seem to have a preoccupation with female presenters............ is that something to do with correcting the male macho image of league in Aus Gave up on the Warriors many years ago, but really good to see them winning and sell out crowds at Mt Smart. So what has changed, that NRL is a brutal unforgiving comp, you don't just start winning, unless you have it all together. they don't seem to have any stars like Melbourne with Slater and Smith
  5. Portfolio is already registered on BOAY, I think the Chief Stipe transferred his data from RC when he was banned. He may be unaware of this, so you have his email, drop him a line
  6. Brodie is already registered here
  7. Agree, must come up with a sustainable growth strategy, although substantial cost savings will greatly facilitate any such strategy. Peter's ears were probably pricked up, when Messara made the statement that the NZRB should be scrapped and a blank sheet of paper approach taken. Over $200 million in costs to run NZRB, that's a lot of money. Surprised ARC still going ahead with it's track renovations in view of this announcement(probably too late to change). A Strathayr track at Ellerslie, may be one of the things that Messara recommends, so the current expenditure may very well be wasted.
  8. You usually see the stipes querying the performance of a horse. But can't recall yesterday at Counties, so many riders offering comment on their horses poor performance VICTORY DRIVE (M Cameron) - Rider reported that the gelding failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions. CHEEKY BOY (M Du Plessis) - Rider reported that the gelding failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions. POKER FACE (M McNab) - Slow to begin (4L), rider reported that the gelding had not felt comfortable in today’s heavy track conditions being unable to quicken once placed under pressure in the manner to which he had expected. SHERRIF (L Innes) - Made the crossing near the 1800 metres awkwardly and shifted outwards hampering SUPERA,rider reported that the gelding had not felt comfortable in today’s heavy track conditions. SULTAN OF SWING (S Weatherley) - Rider advised failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions. TIPTRONIC (J Bayliss) - Rider advised failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions. MIME (M Cameron) - Rider advised failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions. SACRED RHYTHM (T Thornton) - Rider advised failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions
  9. Chief Stipe
  10. That's great feedback, and makes all the effort put in seem worthwhile. Debate will still be robust though, no one is trying to sanitise the show
  11. Just remember John, we are the 2 weak bastards with no ticker, for not responding to Yir Tiz's(Sue) challenge. If you are reading this girls(Yir Tiz and Insider), no hard feelings, you're welcome to enter the Lay Lady Lay Comp, the song probably sounds about your era Anyone know them, send them the link http://bitofayarn.com/yarn/
  12. Comps are great, but if you want a viable, alternative racing chat site, that - is professionally run - has professional IT support(no outages) - has many more features, with more to come, than the competitors - most importantly, won't tolerate sustained personal abuse - won't ban you if you criticise or disagree with the site owner Then please support BOAY by posting your views on whatever I know it's difficult, bit like a party that you turn up to with only 2 people there. But a bit of perseverance, and soon the uncool place becomes THE part of town to be seen at

  14. Sad to hear, used to go in there all the time, Debbie and Alan it was. Many a great win and many a great loss Inevitable with everything online. The Westgate one also closed about 3 months ago, fortunately the lady in there got taken on by the Lincoln North TAB. Just that and Henderson(Penny) left in the wild west now, maybe New Lynn??
  15. NZTR, you've slipped off the wagon again, no data since April 1 Believe it or not but there are actually people who follow this data
  16. The Easter is only worth 100k this year Anyone know why they dropped it from 200 Did they need the money for the drains
  17. Anyone who trudged along to the excitement of speedway in the 60's and 70's at Western Springs will be saddened by the news http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=12033407 http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10384984
  18. A real coup for Peters to convince Messara to take this on. Where are all the Peters haters now, and there were a few of them I wonder how this all played out, did Peters read Brian de Lore's article in The Informant, about starting from scratch, getting rid of the NZRB etc etc, and decide that is exactly what we need
  19. Shyte weather in Auckland, so might as well sit it out and have a bet. So far I quite like all up to place Savvy Coup/Charles Road/Dixie Blossoms/Sugar Bella
  20. This is a major announcement by Peters, who was sitting on his hands for quite a while since the coalition was formed, and should be welcomed by all in the racing industry, except those that may be part of the 'top heavy' classification. Considering Messara's view in The Informant article, was tear everything down and start again, I guess we won't be seeing a report in 3 months time that recommends fine tuning structures etc etc Could we perhaps move this thread to Galloping Chat
  21. He has a pretty good chance of taking out an Oaks this afternoon, but it must be a long time since he rode in Aus?? Is that a negative towards Savvy Coup's chances
  22. Turnover Report to 01 Apr 2018.pdf
  23. Very appropriate, go for it Craig
  24. Turnover Report to 18 Mar 2018.pdf
  25. If he couldn't make 56.6 kg at Awapuni last Saturday, how is he going to make 56.5 kg at Randwick on Saturday on Mongolianconqueror, and why has he therefore been booked. Are they allowed to ride 0.5 kg over in Aus
