  1. That would be correct the All Blacks would beat them, Australia would probably struggle to. ?
  2. According to the NZTR website she was served by Tavistock on 28/11/2017.
  3. Good to se you are back T. Did you pop on down to have a quick one on one with Michelle?
  4. Hesi: ..........and unreserved apologies to ATA, I still think you are an arrogant prat, but in this case(Spearfelt), I bow to your superior knowledge. Thank you. Apology graciously accepted. ?
  5. Well I see the angry man's rant has been removed (he really does need to attend an anger management course) and an apology from Hesi for his go: "Whoopeeee, can't resist this That arrogant, know all twat ATA(Chief Stipe or his copy and paste crony) on BOAY got it wrong, had Spearfelt as the last. I don't suppose he is big enough to admit he got it wrong...........just confirms one thing" Yeah...….na ?
  6. Just read the following posts from you know where and whom: Hesi: Unbelievably, I have the answer......and fortunately the Queen was not involved.......Doug.......... or was that Doug's copy and paste stooge First - Chester Last - Comedy king Whoopeeee, can't resist this That arrogant, know all twat ATA(Chief Stipe or his copy and paste crony) on BOAY got it wrong, had Spearfelt as the last. I don't suppose he is big enough to admit he got it wrong...........just confirms one thing Allow me a small modicum of self indulgence Curious: You may be right Peter. However an authority on these matters on another site suggests that Spearfelt which won the Melbourne Cup in 1926 was leading sire in 1942-43 ? That concurs with my checking and would make him the last to do that double And PWJ who asked the question: Thanks Curious. Like I said, I'm happy to entertain other suggestions because I hadn't done an exhaustive research and yes Spearfelt achieved this feat. I will have to bow to an "authority" Oh dear...… poor Hesi!!! Well well well...……..I don't think I need to say anything just resort to a ☺️ and a?
  7. Comedy King won the Melbourne Cup in 1910 and was leading sire in 1919-20 and 22-23 Spearfelt won the Melbourne Cup in 1926 and was leading sire in 1942-43 Source: Winners Of The Melbourne Cup by Costa Rolfe (Foreword by Bart Cummings) Quote: Page 148 " Spearfelt's reputation as a "ladies-man" would only be furthered upon retirement, a highly prolific stud career seeing the stallion named Australia's leading sire in 1943. Search Results Web result Leading sire in Australia - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Leading_sire_in_Australia Cached Similar The list below shows the leading sire of Thoroughbred racehorses in Australia for each season ... 1943–44 – Manitoba; 1942–43 – Spearfelt; 1941–42 – Beau Pere; 1940–41 – Beau
  8. Anyway Weasel. I wonder if you are missing the point here. ?
  9. Then can I guess that his guess was wrong. ?
  10. I see that no one came up with the third stallion PJ was looking for and he has advised it was Overnite Express. Guess the clue I posted above was too obscure for them. ? Come on NG you should have got that one......
  11. Matamata is racing tonight. ?

  12. No response so can I gather she didn't. Anyway Chester my Spearfelt thoughts go out to you at this time. Come in NG. ?
  13. Did she attend Ellerslie races in those visits though Weasel? It's very hard to race in front of the queen if she wasn't present at the meeting. In 1970 she attended the races at Trentham from all reports but I as to Ellerslie? 1974 was for the Commonwealth Games and can't find any evidence of her attending Ellerslie in 1977.
  14. Chief is this guy Hesi a hippie from the late 60s early 70s? Must have been good LSD in those days as he thinks Timon raced in front of the Queen at Ellerslie. Would have been a remarkable feat as the Queen was at Ellerslie in 1953 and Timon raced in the 70s. ?
  15. Well we know for sure that Ngakonui Grass reads this site as twice now he/she has posted the correct answer after I have placed it here. Especially amusing since stating over there "Wouldn't know where to start to get the answer so i will take a guess" Just keep popping over here NG.....help is at hand when you get stuck. ☺️
  16. Well they must be interested in this one as well Westie just like yourself. ? Five days after the question was asked without the correct answer a few hours after my post someone comes up with the correct answer. Good Lord...….how magic is that. ?
  17. Good Lord they can't even get the question posed last week. ?
  18. I see our mate PJ has stopped sulking and is looking for a third horse. However I won't rush this overnight...…..
  19. From her perfect draw only bad luck could beat her. Beautiful day here in the Bay after some rain yesterday. By tomorrow the track should come back to a dead 4. Can't wait for a great day's racing.
  20. Pretty good chance. There are only eleven noms.
  21. Wasn't he at $1.30 in the Futures on Sunday? Can't wait to see him back here on Saturday. He destroyed then last time on the track.
  22. If you have a collect over $1000.00 you have to prove identity address etc all due to this money laundering requirement. If I take a $3.00 easy bet trifecta and I have a collect in excess of $1000.00 can someone explain to me how the hell that is money laundering?
  23. And I couldn't even get one bite using "he" ? The one to watch out of it is Jessiegee.
  24. After being restrained from the outside gate he came across to settle back last. At the 800m he was fifteen lengths off the leader Malambo. At the line four lengths from the winner and he ran the fastest last 600m in the field with Jessiegee only the other one to break 34 seconds. He ran the second fastest last 600m of all the horses racing there on Saturday with only five on the day breaking 34 seconds.
  25. Possibly Weasel but these days it seems you can identify as anything you like. ? With the name Monica something else must have come to mind, hence the confusion. ? BTW Thanks for the help. You will note that I didn't throw the toys out of the cot and proceed to have a hissy fit. ?
