  1. Have you asked yourself why both have resigned Chief?
  2. I noticed exactly the same kind of thing in the 50 Shades Of Grey series. ?
  3. Bazza did try giving all sundry two sure fire systems to use but the only fire created was when he crashed and burned with both systems being abject failures. As I have said previously even a blind squirrel finds a nut now then. Probably best way to describe him....nut that is. ? You could be right, Mardigras and Curious could well be brothers, twins even, perhaps Siamese twins as they do seem closely connected somehow.
  4. You seem to be confused Curious. The thread I refer to was specifically in relation to Karaka Million night spending $250k. It was never about a long term strategy. It was about six races on one night. A couple had put how they would have done the punting. Your chief cheerleader Hesi despite being told before he posted that exotics would kill the pool included to place a $40k quinella. Stupidity at it's best. Here's the rub Curious. I had heard a little relating to Boys get Paid prior to Karaka Millions night but hadn't taken much interest as I haven't really noticed their presence down this way. As mentioned it was my first visit to a Karaka Millions meeting last week and the evening was absolutely outstanding. It would have to rank as the best meeting that I have attended in NZ. Good crowd, good horses and such a buzz right around the course with culmination of the Boys Get Paid over on top of the public stand? Fireworks display after the last followed by a big on course party. Not one negative comment did I hear all night. I did end up meeting a number of the Boys Get Paid people when a lot of them came across to party after the last. They were fizzing and had a great night and I have become a member since so I can find out more about them and see what they are up to next. Out to the sales the following day and all in all a great weekend. As I Arnie said "I will be back."
  5. It did. The first sentence was most constructive. "The Boys Get Paid syndicate members will be thanking God that the experts on the other channel were not doing the punting for them on Karaka Millions night." There wouldn't have been scenes of jubilation and singing in the stands by the Boys Get Paid reading through that thread.
  6. I advised best price that I could find Mooncoin after checking with all the various agencies. I will leave it with you to work out as to why I tried to find best price. FYI I had three cracks one at $1.70 & 2 more at $1.60. Just wish Curious and Bazza were offering odds. $4.50 & $4.30 would have been beautiful. No bets for me today though. Keeping powder dry for next week if it lines up.
  7. Idiot. Who posted $1.70 on Neds!!
  8. And there is your stupidity Bazza. making assumptions instead of sticking to facts. Neither Thomas or myself have advocated backing all favourites long term. Both Catalyst and Probabeel looked standouts in those two fields which you clearly failed to recognize. Pretty simple really and those are the facts. We are not talking about if, buts and maybes. Suck it up.
  9. Ah the sycophant who priced Catalyst at $4.30, 20 cents short of Curious's $4.50 who also priced Probabeel at $6.00. You were both short of sense. Completely off the mark. Hey, it happens sometimes but with you guys it's become more than a habit.
  10. Curious, your calculations rated him a $4.50 chance in that field. You and the other sycophants weren't even in the ball park.
  11. You will find a lot of horses will be retired earlier then Freda. The bludgers etc. Will the bigger punters stay if the whip is banned is another question to be asked also. The end result could be small fields which doesn't encourage punting any way and reduced income as a result of that combined with bigger punters walking away. You reap what you sew.
  12. In 2012 The Cup was run for $45k & the White Robe for $70k. In 2013 $50k & $75k. Since 2014 $50k & $70k. This year the Cup has increased to $55k and White Robe is still $70k.
  13. Agree. Just ignore the small vocal minority.
  14. Tony Pike is adamant that Elliott dropping his whip at the 300m cost his horse from winning at Ellerslie on Saturday. Beaten a nose. Quote " If Elliott had been able to use his whip Intrigue would have won by two lengths."
  15. The Boys Get Paid syndicate members will be thanking God that the experts on the other channel were not doing the punting for them on Karaka Millions night. Have just read a thread "Punting A Quarter MIll At A NZ meeting" over there. How embarrassing for them, I'm surprised they still have it up. Talk about egg all over one's face. At least Bazza and Mardigras acknowledged the Boys Get Paid did well unlike the main critic and chief moron Hesi. Amongst his bets he would have taken a $40k quinella Not An Option/Play That Song. Imagine what that $40k bet would have done to the quinella pool dividend. Really bright. Hillarious! Two of the sycophants priced Catalyst at $4.50 & $4.30 and Probabeel at $6.00 and criticised the BGP at taking Probabeel $50k at $1.95 (paid $1.60 on the tote.) If you want a laugh have a read quickly before they hide it. ?
  16. Received an invitation to a corporate event at Karaka last night so decided to venture up there for the first time for this Karaka meeting. What a night. The place was packed, the atmosphere electric and the hospitality first class. The whole place was buzzing and everyone having a great time. Somehow this has to be emulated around the country at other big meetings. In the stand next to where we were right up top turned out to be where "The Boys Get Paid" were situated and did they have a great night filling the stand and celebrating with chanting and singing. Everyone on course couldn't miss where they were and when Probabeel won the last the noise was sensational with their yelling and singing "There is only one Opie Bosson." I have never seen anything like it on a NZ race course. After the last there were fireworks and the party started and the night was in full swing. It was simply brilliant. We will be back next year, that's a certainty!!
  17. Trevor Harrison 14 hrs Oh behalf of Brendon (scoots) and myself we sadly advise our racing family that we have both officially resigned from our starting duties for the northern area. Thank you all for the great times, the support I have received in the past 3 weeks has been incredible. Scooter, You are the best wing man I’ve had the pleasure of working with, your professionalism was outstanding, you always took pride in yourself and your work and were dam good at your job! You can hold your head up high and be proud of the job you have done Scoot, you have a beautiful family in which you can spend more time with us plus get out on that boat. You have grown to be far more than just a mate to me, your family. Thank you for standing by my side through all the highs and lows the past 15 years. Thank you again, we will miss seeing you all around the track.
  18. Catalyst NZ TAB $1.10 NEDS $1.75
  19. There were about 8 protestors outside the main gates. One with a loud hailer and the others with placards. They achieved nothing.
  20. I would have thought more meetings and higher stakes.
  21. Haven't they got McGovern and Moody up there to use.
  22. They both resigned. End of.
  23. I wouldn't worry T. From my point of view I only looked at their punting perspectives purely as entertainment value as there is nothing better than a good laugh. You couldn't really accept what they put up would be of any benefit. Bazza should be renamed Benny Hill as he was hilarious attempting to show all and sundry his masterclass displays of money making systems which were as successful as the Titanic's maiden voyage and the passenger airship Hindenburg taking most passengers with them. Anyone who actually emulated what he put up would have ended up with the same fate sinking out of sight or crashing and burning. As to the pricing put up it was fairy tale stuff and all over the place. By some chance if one did manage to get one right the other sycophants would clap and applaud and forget about their own ratings. Let's face it even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. It was all basically about juveniles skiting as to who has got the biggest. What fun ?
  24. That is it in a nutshell Piper. The clubs want to retain the race status at group level which of course means extra funding the higher the status and the breeders want to retain the highest status to support and enhance black type on the pedigree page.
  25. Thomas was referring to the down grade from G1 status when referring to the breeders.
