    As someone who has never been hands on with horses,many years ago I was at a mid level trainers facility and saw him continually kick a horse in the belly when it was tied up. I asked the person with me,wtf! I was told that you have to show horses whose boss...a dominance thing,to be able to train them. Left an indelible impression,but I assumed this was not widespread practice. Is it?

    Its been happening since forever...L'O'Sullivan was an expert at stacking them up for a sprint home. I think the problem is the jockeys are too scared to make a move, in case they get posted,and then roasted for trying to use their initiative.

    Winner was good. Lets see if the form is franked. I thought it was a weak field. Profondo in Sydney looked much classier imo.
