as we get to the final race of the challenge Trotsfan makes a play for the win with 'Spirit' in the MM getting 6 pts. ties it up with The Galah who just missed points with Braeview Kelly 5th for her Nz connections. Gammalite gets 4 pts with Honolua Bay arriving 3rd. Brodie 2 pts in the MM. Points after 7 races : The Galah 24 pts, TrotsFan 24, Gammalite 22, Brodie 14, Teamseven 14, Davis 12, Chief 2 . The last about to go The Galah has old warhorse 'Mach Shard' (part owned by Katrina Purdon) trying to get in ahead of Trotsfan on the grand old horse 'Alta Orlando' (owned by Robert and John Dunn) how cool !!!! who will take the crown? -

Apologies Brodie . Thought Hurricane Harley (by Bettor's Delight ) was kiwi bred but see it started in Vic Bred sires stakes as a 3 and 4 year old so had that wrong. You'll have to have an Aussie in MM lol.π Fire Fox Nz scratched in the last race for 'Team Brodie' so Sub is the former Southland horse Port Au Prince Nz. now the betting bloke is trying to say there are $10,000 bets going on just now on Captain Ravishing. surely they make this stuff up to sucker people in ? -

Great race and it's the man Luke for Trotsfan, with the 'Bondi' Tramcar bullocking past BD Joe very late on to take victory. The Galah regains the outright Lead !! I Cast No Shadow a length from the winner in 5th spot went very well. (Triple Eight nz 3rd and Better Eclipse 4th). you wonder if these betting guys that carry on before each race are real or not? That very strong field and they say they are taking bets of $3000 , etc on BD Joe just before the start. ?? surely too risky ? not going super great or anything. must be Better things to do with $3000 you would think. ?? Points after 6 races : The Galah 24 pts, Gamma 20, TrotsFan 18, Brodie 12, Davis 12, TeamSeven 6, Chief 2 . Miracle Mile is soooooon. bring it on. -

Tim Williams parked out a lap from the 2 alley with Alta Meteor was never gunna do it from there for the Nz Telfer Barn and our comp leader mr Galah. Race 5 NSW Derby, goes to BetterBeThe Best for Team Oz and Gamma , and Trainer driver Nathan Turnbull getting his biggest winner to date. That wil put the pressure on these nz challengers lol. Brodster rattling home from the tail with the richly bred kiwi (half brother to King of swing and Bettor twist) in the form of RockNRoll Hammer , getting the hammer down late. he'll win a few that bloke. Luke's other runner into 4th place was Sweerheart Bart. Points @ 5 races : The Galah 18 pts, Gamma 18, Brodie 12, Davis 12, Trotsfan 10, TeamSeven 6, Chief 2 . -

Race 4 see's the horse cross to the lead with a blazing first quarter from the outside gate. Blazing Banner nz takes them all the way to the post then for the kiwi-bred 'Galah' team . Brodie wondering why he didn't get that one for his kiwi squad ? ππ might not be enjoying this mile racing then. Trotsfan into 2nd place that race with SportingJoy, and Chief sneaking up the fence in for 4th with 'Terror' . 1.52.7 in the Group 1 trotters mile for Aldebaran Zeus and champion reinsman Chris Alford. An ex-pat nzer in Brent Lilley being the trainer of that one. geeeez that is hiking for trotters ??? 'Just Believe' couldn't get it done for Team oz but a good 2nd sitting parked out. 'I'm ready Jet' picks up 4 points for Team 7 in the challenge , and 2 more for the Galah with old war-horse 'Majestic Harry' all the way from Cambridge to Brisbane then to the Interdominion in Melbourne and now Menangle for owner -trainer- driver Britney Graham from Sky Channel. just having a quick drive in-between interviews lol.. that is multi-tasking !! Race 2 the mares post-time, and the Brodster is Not let down this time by poor driving, as the big Sweet Lou Nz mare Loubowski cruises in for team Nz. Karrots would of been proud. That kiwi man Jack Trainor, another great 2nd with BridwoodBella for Davis (so he hits the lead) , Gamma 4th again. Points after 2 races Davis 12 pts, Galah 8, Brodie 8, Trotsfan 4, Gammalite 4 pts. The kiwi mare 'Anna Love' galloped like a mad thing at the start that time for the Galah . Can he bounce back? -

Race 1 hits the line and the kiwi's take it with Betterzippit clinging on after leading for the Galah (and top driver Hart) another Grimson feather in his cap. Jack Trainor (his partner in crime) 2nd too with Perfect Stride for team 'Davis'. old kiwi horse Loyalist 3rd. Points after Race 1. The Galah 8, Davis 6, Trotsfan 4, Gamma 2 pts, Brodie 0 pts after ordinary CarterD drive IMO on kiwi Republican Party. (went way too early) -

A few scratchings in the first race has left just 6 runners . So team 7 has one less comp runner unfortunately. A shame BD Joe and Krug haven't made it into the Miracle Mile for NZ , but hopefully the visitors can win the support races maybe? some good horses are going round though. Tim Williams drawn well at 2 with Telfer horse in the Derby. A big hope for the kiwi's π -

For first 8 races tonight at Menangle the teams of BITofaYARN members have been assembled for the 8 race Points challenge to be a Miracle Winner. Brodie will have the 2 x Carter Dalgety drives of Krug and the 'Pub' Party in his team of kiwibreds. The Galah also assembled with a fine team of Nz bred horseflesh, including BD joe and the 'Meteor' in the Derby. Trotsfan a true harness 'Loyalist' will have the 'Spirit' of the nations in his team along with the Dunn marvel 'Orlando' Davis with some flying Capt Treacherous 'ravishing' type stock in his team will 'cast a shadow ' over the challenge. Gamma on a few of the locals had 'BetterBeThe Best' lol and 'Just Believe' he can hold out these kiwi raiders. Chief Stipe ... well 'whereyabeen Boppin' Chief? you've gone quiet and 'dangerous' or maybe just 'don't care ' lol. Ranga, Hunter, Forbs ,anyone else can try, and 'Catch a Wave' and the challenge win with the Final team. Team Race Numbers and Horses coming along shortly next post.

yes. very late in the day to be trying to hand up the spot up outside leader when horse going well too, just 600m out. wonder why didn't just leave Shree out there 3 wide?? very unusual and awkward. the Dalgety horse would of helped block/ or get in the road of any others coming from the back too. and Anything Goes was huge chance of winning.
-
Hey he did go very well the other night . Closing late for 4th. was hoping he'd get some of it for you. Better for you and I if he got 3rd at least but them the breaks. Bound to go close this week with the mile and half distance. might go for the 'Money Rocks' in the 1st race again too from the pole. solid stayer. Republican Party , and Cranbourne might be better over shorter trip.

Oh I see then . very sorry about your missed collect then Forbs. I am biased towards Amazing Dream (or any horse for that matter) taking a sit on the leader . Gammalite did it on Popular Alm (a superior animal ) at Auckland in an Interdominion Final 1983 and it 'paid off' in spades. As far as 'Amazing Dream' goes I saw her race twice in July 2021. Winning 2 x Group 1 's at Brisbane Albion Park, for Mark and then Blair Orange . TRAILING the Leader both times and paying $19.win in the G1 Rising Sun and 2 weeks later $41. in the G1 Blacks A Fake QLD Championship. Did I say she trailed the Leader both times mate ???? I had big collects so personally I like nothing better than seeing Amazing Dream take a sit and then Mow em down ! good on her. what a beauty. ALL Going Well , SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS (Australasia) will take a sit on leader and then Mow em down on Saturday night for a well deserved Miracle Mile Win !!!!!!

Well the 'Spirit of St Louis' gets the Poll draw so should be right in the firing line for a Big Miracle Mile (all going well) Alas Krug , BD Joe and Cranbourne haven't made the field for Nz. But Braeview Kelly has (trained by a kiwi lad and owned by a few folk there too. so she can be the Nz Rep this year. best of luck to her. here's the field for the 2023 $1,000,000 Miracle Mile next Saturday night. $1,000,000 No NR. Should be re-named 'The Spirit Of Australasia' with a whole swag of many Oz and Nz owners (at least 20) , and the performances of a Great 'Star of the track'. Qualified for the BIG one, the $1,000,000 Miracle Mile next week with a good win last night at Menangle. Last year he was 2nd (also 2nd in Hunter Cup just prior) to his Superstar Stable-mate of the time 'KING of Swing' . Now retired after last years MM win. Spirit will have strong competion next week from this years Hunter Cup winner (and winner of the other qualifier last night at Menangle) in 'Honolua Bay' who ran 1.49 last night. But lets hope the plain Sweet Lou gelding Spirit can put away the Victorian next week and take out the 2023 MIRACLE MILE and give a Heap of folk throughout Nz and Aus a thrill of the Biggest race Win there is.

All good Forb's . The winning Trainer 'Trainor ' is a kiwi lad. And the first 2 horses are owned in Nz. New-Zealand getting a BIG Cut of the Pie as usual. Braeview Kelly nice 109k prizemoney pickup in this Group 1 last night. 9 wins and 3 placings from 12 starts Menangle to date. Quite incredible compared to her Nz form prior. $200,000 Mares. No NR. Don't know what Steve Malcay looks like mate , or why he is stupid. You getting too cranky with me cause Nat did a good job beating Mark once , and Mark doing a good job Not leaving Stablemate in the death seat in a G1. They finished 4 lengths clear of the rest of the field in a Group 1 . you don't recognise excellence when you see it. If that is a stupid assessment by me that you think is stupid , well I can't help that. (BTW Nat has beaten Mark several times in Feature Races) and so I have No need to defend anything or feel stupid because You say So either ? Amazing Dream (at $1.30 odds) led up the NZ STANDARDBRED BREEDERS stakes exactly 2 years ago. Was run down by Watch Me Now and Kirstin Green from the trail. They were 10 lengths clear of 3rd horse. Horses race best with a trail mate a lot of the time. Why shouldn't Mark take a trail time to time as well ? He actually knows How to Drive A horse mate ?? and you know better ? has to keep lead because you say so ? The results are better than anyone in Nz Harness racing History. you just have to get a grip and get cheating out of your mind. Mark and Nat had just won the Auckland Interdominion with some excellent 'Team driving' with Ultimate Sniper around that time Beyond Words was racing as well . You Must have been having heart-attack with frustration? so maybe just go to the gallops then Forbs? if you think harness racing is stupid or cheats or whatever else you think of stewards/drivers trainers. Might be less stressful for you .....(just thinking of your health mate)

Now that's how ya win em!!. I'll have to promote him off the dog status list to 'legend; status after that .π°πΎ π° That horse on the money more than Brodster ? (for a few weeks anyway lol)
