That time of year for some Big race players !!! (Blackie takes the points on previous photo of 'Blacks A Fake' (stable-name Blackie) winning one of his Interdominion Grand Finals for Nat.) Todays Horse is a ripper !! not only solid in Nz but this time last year was beating the very best home in the big race ( King of Swing and Amazing Dream 3rd and 4th) He went close to taking the big prize. Maybe this week is his moment ? and is the Gammalite Tip . Who is he ??

Couple of solid horses here to remember a great moment in time. QLD/ NZ combo and (Tim Butt runners are 3rd and 4th for a great day out !!)

Well seems he was a quality Trainer . Saw him once in Tassie when there with Blacks A Fake and he was giving Blackie a hard time with WINFORU. who went very well . and placed again the following year (2nd) in Adelaide. Also pushed hard with CHANGEOVER not long after that..... wonder why he (Small) gave up then ? was doing well. Nz Trainer Tim Butt also placed in those Interdominion's with Happy Asset, Foreal and Tribute behind Blackie. A very similar quality Trainer. Now training out of Brisbane !! Tim still getting established and racing stock owned by Ant's and driven by son Riley . What a great team !!!!!

Brae Sokolski has had a winning run really, but at that level things can go wrong quickly. Yes Yes Yes won the rich Everest race for him as co-owner, Sir Dragonet won the 2020 Cox Plate (but is sadly passed after a track accident) , Incentivise was going to be the next big thing (but has gone amiss this year with leg injury) and he was favourite over VE in last years Melbourne Cup. So was a Sokolski quinella . even old Kings Will Dream broke a pelvis on him at one stage. Hard to say if this bloke is a charm or a curse ?? ..been hit by plenty of buses along the way lol.

Well with 'Queen Lizzie' and the 'Queen of the North' (the Lady), no longer with us, it's time for the New 'Queen' to stand up and take the throne . Probably this week Imo? . and looks a special .... A tough one for you guys/ or anyone to pick todays horse ?

'Queens Birthday' public holiday in 'Queensland' today. A terrific day but she is not around to see it unfortunately. Here's the 'Queen' of the track to celebrate anyway and start the week in style !!! Anyone lucky enough to see her go ? ( a fine NZ Cup winner and now dressage to look good. ) Latest match score up-date shows 'Brodster' holding all the cash. and 'Ranga' travelling well !! Blackie' s A Fake will need to improve? . Fricken Allstars everywhere. and the 'Maltese cross' silks, got up there amongst them for Todd McCarthy, and came up just short. (go away Nat lol.) The Aussie raider (ex-pat kiwi) beaten a head in a fast 3. 53.9 . His name is ? Without peeking , name the 3 Allstars runners in the FIRST 4 here ? .for double points.

Had $200 on it at 9-1 and then got beat by my idol Nat. Racing is cruel sometimes 😂😆

Well no-one picked the great horse winning at Penrith Raceway yesterday. But everybody picked Penrith in the NRL Grand final ok. Penrith could of won by 36 points if kept going solid. Our horse (a brown one as it pans and not a black flash) won by 36m. Here he is early days in NZ . what on Earth has Geoff done to his head.?? lol..😆 Jammed on a sunvisor and a piece of pipe insulation by look of it lol 😅? kiwi ingenuity .... Who is this little bloke who went on to big things. ?

hahaha... well here is a great Aussie track (my Tip) with a fine NZ horse winning on it at his first attempt. The Winning margin could be the winning margin tonight too !!! lol..... Absolutely ! the Purdon magic (actually well done Mr Phelan last night) is on his side. A Fabulous win in the Derby heat by MAJOR PERRY for Nz. (points to Blackie with the photo of him winning at Cambridge) The other heat saw the kiwi SIMPLY SAM in 3rd place (5 lengths behind the first 2 placegetters though). for Ray Green he went nicely still. Have I 'Jinxed' the best horse in Australia by calling him that ? LEAP TO FAME aaarrgghhh 😩 (I did the same to Expensive Ego.. lol) won the Interdom then got relegated . 'Leap to Fame' rattled home in 53 seconds last half , BUT got beaten a neck, by horse sitting in the death that was hanging like a bastard too. CAPTAIN RAVISHING ! what a performance .... should be re-named 'Captain Ravaging' though for what it did to my bet tickets lol.....

Yes that is YULESTAR running 2nd in the NZ FFA in Nov one year . well picked ! double points lol !! Actually do you want to adjust Barry's horse name slightly there Blackie ??? (first part of name looks good) or Ranga or his mates will be back to haunt me .😄 Stormed to Victory in the NZ Derby , as well as the Victoria Derby and a couple of Miracle Mile's to boot. Whata a great horse .

Vic Derby heats are on tonight. This stable have ventured over to have a crack too . Todays horse a fine Derby Specimen indeed for them.... Any guesses ?

( IThink their (Telfer barn) preparation and training techniques, of horses like Alta Wiseguy and BD JOE and others, has 'caught up' over the past year to Allstars which makes them look 'under-performing ' to you guys, when they're not. should be applauded? not lampooned IMO. Considering the massive input for the Purdons to New Zealand harness racing and over-reacted. MILLWOOD NIKE has been in sensational form... so does that mean 'the money is on' ? or she is 'getting spun' ? as the lead of this thread indicates. It just seems so unfair to their reputation?. They are doing fine. (allstars) Spankem and Self Assured a Very strong chance of running the Cup quinella. BD JOE got the chochalates tonight (and didn't die either) but the Cup might be too big a Plum to take ?? I think you are a 'reasonable' judge lol. Newmarket not. Don't be sucked in by Newmarket never ending bagging the best tall poppy. tiresome. Plenty of GALLOPERS resuming have 'fitness' runs on their way to their main mission like a Cup or Oaks or Derby. Mostly don't win first up . (or even 2nd up for that matter) Why are Allstars at fault ? same deal. Mark has awesome record over decades . just foolish to not respect achievements.

NATURE STRIP blew them away at Royal Ascot in the Big sprint , to show the Aussie/kiwis horses are well up to European standards. Hope she wins the 2800m consolation by lengths then.....
