  1. Keep going while in good form. WFA at Te Rapa Feb 11th is a target. no weight being a 3 yearold against the oldies. always a welcome relief. Oppie won't make the weight so gives lighter jocks a crack at it. put the slow ones in the paddock is what Vinnie Knight always said lol... keep the fast ones on the track. plenty of time for grass later when the dealings done .😁😉
  2. BoysGet Paid started off with about a $1,000,000 Saturday invested for a large amount of players. The finish total was about 1/2 million , so all the players are refunded half their original stake. There was a lot of players so you are being tricked by the one leader title of BGP. very much bit like everyone being tricked rubbishing their political 'leaders' when it is the party behind the scenes that is the driver of a political party. Labor voted back in here but things still the same ... inflation.. cost of living ... yadda-yadda-yadda.... Casinos have a limit , but can invite high -rollers to 'behind closed doors ' big bets if they feel like it. You have to have a limit for Joe Blow punters though. Some would do there arse completely otherwise ??? more than who would win anyway. You might win Brodster (kerry Packer the 2nd you are 😂) but PLENTY would lose mate .NOT Good 😩. better to have a controlled outlay like those punters that pop some in with BGP. Way better discipline that way ,and they back GOOD horses too... good on em !!!!!!!!! i like them for the FUN they bring to the table 🏆😉💰🍟
  3. Well it was the only one on back row in the last at Ballarat. Got the Dream run through to 3rd early , should of pressed on to the top . Jack Laugher made mistake and tried to take hold for 1-1 sit but was fighting the horse thereafter. Not a great strategy. horse didn't like the lugging pole IMO either. ran on ok late, but young lass in front rated the Marg Lee horse perfectly for win...
  4. Well it's the great colour combo of 'green and orange' that takes the Victory. Grimson's lot of 3 horses failed on this occasion. Emma Stewart duo in for 2nd and 4th places went well. But all honours with COPY THAT tonight in Ballarat Cup . Way to good for them in distance racing. another cup for the double Nz Cup champion. well done Ray and Blair.
  5. She could be the best of the lot. unbeaten in 8 starts so far. CaptainTreacherous really getting some good ones. yes you mentioned the 2 year olds. forgot to put them in. I'll call it now . the CaptainTreacherous will Trifecta the Vic Derby late this year. the early crow lol.. School Captain - Perfect Class - The lost Storm Here ya go , they already Trifectaed the Breeders Crown in the Spring. here's the top 3 below. These are going to be u-beaut 3 yearolds. What a fine stallion he is . Send 'Hot n Treacherous' over to Oz 🏆. he'll win em in a row . 6. Here's the Cup field too . like an Interdominion Final (less McCarthys or Purdons lol....) new kids on the training block of Grimson and Stewart .....trying to hold out the old kiwi foxes of Butt, Green and Orange . gunna be a good one . 7. Well some excellent performances by some nice CaptainTreacherous Stock past couple of days . (thought for a moment the Cruiser was one but was your friend Captain Crusader got mixed up with.) some of my very favourites too. Tony winning tonight with the trotting filly Double Delight at Auckland . Captain Tom in Southland. also Catch A Wave raced away by lengths in a 1200m race at Melton just tonight for Kate Gath. he's won 13 from 17 now and is gunna have a super year . watch out for him. Captain Bellasario will be winning the last at Ballarat tomorrow night . he's a beauty. won the Vic sires stakes last start. and Can Not wait till near the best in Oz in the shape of Captain Ravishing gets going again. No kiwis are gunna get near him 😉 (famous last words) has he goes on a winning streak this year . won 8 of 12 to date including Melton track record .
  8. That would of been my guess too . I think it is asking too much for them to be alarmed seeing the whip swishing about through a tiny hole , to make them go that little bit harder when you want them too. Might just make the horse more reluctant in lugging in or out ?, if it can see a little something (like another horse) through a hole .Might not head towards it as much? not sure about the hanging though. Perhaps use a Pole if horse actually turning their neck too much ?
  9. With the win in the Southern Supremacy Heat today Captain Tom looking like one of the biggest potential stars around. 3 wins from 4 now. and a 1.54 mile credit as well. He must be worth BIG Money 💰💰💰 now? Driven by Brad today instead of Nathan , who would of been available, so that was interesting ... Seems more a keen on Nathan in these threads as a pilot. and he had won the 2 races on the horse as well. Olivia Thornley running 2nd on the Allstars runner With Style, and definitely looked in difficulty controlling the horse once again. smacking into the back of another runner on several occasions. After the Oaks win where the horse fairly bolted on her , might have to hit the weights ? to get a bit of strength maybe? And @Chief we need Blossom Lady (or someone in the know) to tell us what the hell the hole in the Murphy blind is for ?? both 'Captain Tom' and 'With Style' with the MURPHY Blind on today . They ripped home in 55 seconds odd and well clear up the straight. 'With Style' had a hole in hers ? wonder why? but they sure seem to be working after Lizzie the other day? and Allstars using them so Must Be Good ?
  10. Imagine that they will hand up to Nz Cup champion Copy That to get a cosy run. Rock and Roll Doo is a 'nut-case' with throwing his head around and all sorts of shit like that. Agree Forb's, the horse really needs a Trainer who can make the very necessary Gear adjustments that the 'Doo-doo requires.. Sorry to say old mate Davis . You're 'cruising for Bruising' if still gunna back the Majestic Cruiser. He has been pretty flat since the huge effort going to Nz and chasing hard behind Copy That in the Cup. needs a little rest I think maybe.
  11. Funnily enough Brodster , your man Nathan has put a small 'dampener' on sale prices over the past year. One of his horses not living up to the wraps sadly. REGAZZO MACH with the 400k price-tag was supposed to be the next great thing but has flopped a little. Won 3 races in the west a year ago after he first arrived . But this Spring/ Summer since resuming has only scored once in a FFA in 9 starts, this time in . a few 2nds so hoping he can still come good . might win this week on Friday even. Has earnt back only 70k so far , so am sure Bond and his WA mates will be treading warily and just going back to buying the loose class runners from the deep South, instead of these 'Reputation' horses like this big Mach.
  12. They would Get to see him posing with his horse . Chambray winning the last race for him at Ashburton. Woodham Owns her along, with the Gibb's and the Kennard's. Young Nathan now training with dad I see. What a shame he didn't stay in Victoria to man a satellite stable . there is a lot of money coming up with the big Summer of harness starting shortly. so far Mark and Nathan 3 wins from 7 starters this year (2023 season) . will be interesting to see if they can keep a one win every 2 starters average going.
  13. Here you go Chief . The amazing Lazarus in America. The yanks have taken off the boots and stuck on a stupid undercheck... and..... there is One of those Fricken Holed Murphy blinds again. Didn't he start getting beaten in the States ?? lol... Has Blossom told us what they're for yet ?
  14. The Amazing Lazarus winning for Mark . probably the Nz Cup.
  15. Dolly Vardens working for one of the best going in a long career. good to see. (or not see) whatever way you are looking at it lol. Helped ya get to the line first on occasion ? Fancy knee boot suspenders absolute waste of time though mate. Just get a better fitting set of kneeboots. So much easier ....
  16. No idea mate. Didn't use em , but if they work all good. Lizzie did the job today ok lol..... I just put those half blind dolly vardens on the bridles. simple and out of the way. bridle just slipped on normally, horse can't see driver .worked fine. all these hoods and rolls and full blinds just 'too much clutter' for my liking lol.
  17. Had one of those Murphy blinds with a hole in Chief. that Blossom Lady was on about. Eye on the prize maybe ??
  18. Did you ever have exchange tickets.? At Alexandra Park the on-course treble used to print out with 2 numbers on it . You had to go to tote to 'exchange' them for your last leg number , should the first 2 win. ( I guess the tote machines only had ability to print 2 numbers per ticket instead of 3 at that stage ) Meant there was a LOT of tickets blowing around I can tell you. At times , if say Roy and Barry Purdon won the first 2 legs, the exchange queue's were 100m long with people and they had to delay the races ! so everyone got on lol. 😂😁 did you have anything like that down South?
  19. The other number 1 stable (McCarthy) has had a foothold in America for quite some time with Andy and Todd often competing against Dexter and doing well too. Luke holding the fort down-under winning 3 Miracle Mile 's with King of Swing lately , which is our biggest race. Old Town Road will soon be trying for the Big results and should go well. His Nz FFA behind Self Assured was a good performance and he will measure up better than Cranbourne you would think. Any news on how much was paid for Cranbourne by the American from anyone there ??
  20. Great win , stomping home from last after drawing the outside 6 Alley. (in Young Quinn style) !! Also in that Miracle Mile was big winning 'Koala King', who not long after that Miracle Mile Won the Interdominion Grand Final . Robin Butt was not far away with Locarno finishing 2nd, and Pure Steel 3rd. Ballarat Cup Group 1 this week will test him (Cranbourne) . there is the Nz Cup champ Copy That (Blair Orange flying over to drive) and northerner Old Town Road to contend with . Can you feel a great Nz Trifecta coming on ? 🏆🏆🏆.
  21. I can admit it today matey. Brodie on the money with a great driving little Carter D. why wait for the future. get in now while the goings good 😊🏆 They just broke 1.53 in the race today we were covering. wow !!. A sterling peach drive again by Carter . not afraid to get into the death seat and be close enough on the turn with Casino Action. then outstayed them all !!!!! 10/10 yet again? cool as a cowcumber. and another easy driving point too . oh dear......... 'Win everything JDunn' couldn't even beat him after cosy trip. 3rd with Ajira. Sarah O'Reilly flashing up late for 4th sending all us 'evangelist's to the wall lol... 😂 (and you only get $750 prizemoney for 4th Sarah 😉) not enough lol. points now Carter 4 , Sarah 4 ............... next stop juniors race 6 Ashburton Tuesday.
  22. Did you work out who the good mare above in photo is ?. Ranga would be all over it
  23. Carter has done the right thing by Brodster and after Beating John Dunn with AJIRA and costing him driving the Quaddie in the process, has engaged him to drive the horse today , instead of Sarah !!! so Now the EVANGELIST's of matthew, mark, luke and 'Honest'John ,gamma and Davis are staring down the barrel of a Carter team-play at Nelson today to draw level on the head to head challenge , and send us back to 'church' for prayer lol. 😂 here's the field today Race 8. and the point added for the sensational Carter drive on AJIRA on day 1. 1 035029 Emma's Boy 6 g R53 1 Ft Gerard O'Reilly Ivan Court 2 595081 Ajira 4 g R53 2 Ft John Dunn Cran & Chrissie Dalgety 3 970365 J R Bromac 6 g R55 3 Ft Blair Orange Ken Barron 4 405630 McCrikey 5 g R55 4 Ft Ricky May Greg & Nina Hope 5 613312 Casino Action 4 g R57 5 Ft Carter Dalgety(J) Cran & Chrissie Dalgety 6 6L5924 Evangalist 5 m R57 6 Ft Sarah O'Reilly(J) Jason & Ian Thomas 7 049074 Jazelle 7 m R57 7 Ft Zachary Butcher Matt Purvis 8 247X21 Winegum 4 g R57 8 Ft Bob Butt Bob Butt 9 047647 Doctor Tim 9 g R58 9 Ft Sam Thornley(J) Michael House points update>> SarahO'Reilly 4 pts, Carter Dalgety 3 Points (crikey he's getting close now)
  24. Things can only get worse there (as more will leave?) as nice horse Cranbourne picks up $42,000 tonight first start in Oz. I have Said for a long time he should of been here ages ago. He only earned $42,000 there in 12 starts since last Feb when he won a couple. 10 months training expenses must of chewed a bit of that up?. Such a quality horse deserves a crack at the big-time. and the chance to actually win some money. Defeated the Interdominion Champion 'I Cast No Shadow' in a provincial group 2 Shepperton Cup tonight. good on him. big money Hunter Cup looms large ?? BTW.... Robin Butts 2 horses racing well in the west. Minstrel 2nd in the 175k Freo Cup (Himself 4th for the Butts too) Himself winning 100k in golden Nugget there in Dec. Butts will be the wealthiest owners in Nz shortly lol. unless they already moved over to Perth which is nice place with great harness racing.
  25. One's a bit faster than Paleface Adios.? this Nz mare pretty sharp .?
