  1. Shes only 25-26 ish and who doesn't party at that age 😁 . unfortunately even partying while the lock down was on with fellow jocks Zahra, current boyfriend Melham, Gaudray and the now injured Eathan Brown. all got a long suspension each. for having a party . world gone mad . former party boyfriend of many years been winning the Everest lately with Giga Kick who has won near 10 million . Clayton Douglas . probably pass your IQ test. his shout at next party anyway !!! πŸ˜‚πŸ»πŸΉπŸΎ party girl ready for action !!
  2. Loyalist sure to be tested by Open class horses like Expensive Ego this week (maybe) Grimson also picking up SWAYZEE dirt cheap off ex-pat kiwis Tim and Ants Butt, because it had lost all form this year racing in Queensland (8 unplaced runs) Grimson picks it up and it goes Bang..bang..bang bang .... 4 in a row like a freak show. Now taking on Open Class ??? give me a break lol..... can't work out what this guy does to make them jump out of the ground like they do πŸ™„ here's the Open class race this week .... surely Loyalist and Swayzee are beaten in this lol....... $53,040 No NR. 3. Best of Luck matey . possibly EW with the 2nd row draw and all . Barry Purdon sure to close drawn well with GANDALF in that race. Been knocking at door for a win. I'm on at 10-1 for the 'Big Barry Treble' . Ilsa's Son very hard to beat from the pole in the first race soon for Crystal. Into Gandalf in the 4th , into the handy pacer Montana DJ in the 7th race. Barry's three horses sure to go close , Racing well at Alex park and as there is a bit more depth at Alexandra park compared to here at Cambridge today.
  4. Yep, Skipper Dale one of the class acts racing on his day πŸ†πŸ† . and seen here winning one of his 2 x Easter Cup's ( in a quick 4.05 for the 2 miles too) What a great stayer.! (and was the first kiwi home in the Addington Interdominion too that year ) 4th 😎.
  5. What's a passing lane around pole markers again? πŸ˜‚ these latest drivers don't know how lucky they have it (with all the inside room they get these days) Much more of a 'challenge' trying to push out in the last lap from trail, 3 back or 4 back fence , all to the tune of the 'sweet' sounds of rivals screaming "me legs, me legs !! watch out for me legs" or even the sweet Grinding hollow grating sound ' of your wheel hub scraping along the hub rail like a nail on a blackboard as you attempt the fruitless search for a rails run home (or you're just hanging like Ned kelly lol) . πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ New Brighton $75k Television mile or something like that.
  6. Here's a win on the mainland in a feature at the main track for you then , for our Northern horse πŸ˜„. Yes a handy young reinsman Peter Ferguson doing the steering there, having just won the Interdominion Junior drivers title too. A star in the making. yes no over check (well spotted) as advised by Colin Butler . 1987 on the winning post I see too ( you're on the right track then again mate ) Don't think you'll get the colours though. Anybody remember Who is this stylish horse then ? (horse inside him here pretty handy one too 😁 )
  7. Great effort mate. Nothing like coming across an old Nz Cup runner on the 'wander up the road' lol , to give a pat and lead back home. good on you SA for looking after the old boy πŸ†. Young Charles had a real crack on the track too . as well as siring the champ 'Young Quinn'. A gallant 3rd to Cecil's 1st Cup winner here , named Van Dieman , (named after Cecil's homeland) and the great Johnny Globe seen in the photo below running 2nd. Johnny Globe winning the Cup himself a year or 2 later in a WORLD Record 4.07 from 48 yards behind. And 2nd was the Gallant 'Young Charles' and only a Neck margin behind from the champion 'Johnny G' once again...... so close yet so far......
  8. A hard one you say. okie dokie ...well this one will stop all those South Island lads . are you a Northerner ? If so, you might be a chance then lol.
  9. By jove , you hit the nail on the head old chap . Bravo !!
  10. speaking of Derek Jones there with Walt this week , here is Son Peter winning on a trotter that used to just jog it in to victory sometimes. Perhaps modelling herself like Scotch Notch with some big wins πŸ˜ŠπŸ†. Can you name this trotter ? and for the stumper maybe the 2nd placed horse seen here as well ? . (Ranga would probably 'jog it in' spotting up these 2, but see if you can beat him to the punch lol).
  11. Another treat for you then Walt. Here's a great photo of Hands Down holding out a 'dour' field of stayers in one of the Easter Cup Wins on a heavy track. this one off 25m behind , beating Bonnie's Chance and Trevira both off 10m. One of the great Nz Handicap races (Easter Cup) now consigned to history rather unfortunately. The great trainer Derek Jones NZMM a humble man and with a great book Win without Boasting , was very pleased to meet him once, think is where got the book from. His grandsons now both in Aus unfortunately for Nz trotting , are both still going >> Ants and Tim. Here's Derek trying to make off with one of their trophys !! lol......
  12. I think if you were a poker player Walt , your forced hand would be 'Royal Flushed' by my Massive near 200 race winning trio of Dellightful Lady, and the 2 Interdominion Final winners Young Quinn and Gammalite. Although my 3 champs had all failed to win the NZ Cup πŸ˜ͺ. so I might be bluffed out of it ?? lol.... ( 8 of the 24 listed horses did win the Nz Cup in their careers though)
  13. At that stage only about 30 horses had cracked the $100,000 in earnings. little chart below from 84' season. A beauty from the north leading the way with her 47 wins. Actually 4 of the top 6 earners were mares . there's a Very Nice horse in there at 'number 11' spot (knocking off Robalan and Young Quinn for that place πŸ’°lol so that's pretty classy lol ..........and 5 of the top 6 beaten in some Big races too πŸ˜„πŸ†πŸ†πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί )
  14. Alistair Lloyd Thomas Lowe (relative of Ted's is he ? ) Not sighted since 2019 . Driving before that from period 2010 -2019 , approxiamitely 200 drives for 2 wins only on a trotter in 2011 season. and Training for Alistair Lowe, in that same time-frame >>>> 200 odd starters for those 2 wins in 2011 and one more win in 2016 when someone drove a trotter to win for him that season.
  15. Great video mate . The horses look magnificent on the beach. The elevator/ department store music theme Not quite capturing the Power of the Situation. Perhaps try the 'William Tell Overture' music accompaniment ? used to be brilliant at Alexandra Park for years when going along as a youngster as the horses left birdcage to step out on the track. That'll get em rockin ....
  16. Doesn't make sense. How can you be disqualified and STILL keep the Money. ?? that is just a joke. But seems they're paying 'Extra' 's on around 29 occasions . seems you are right. They are gunna PRETEND the 29 horses didn't turn up and just 'Donate' money to them still. you're Disqualified but not forgotten lol.... πŸ˜† how silly can they get. Racing Victoria has disqualified the 29 horses apprentice jockey Wiremu Pinn rode with an incorrect weight allocation after "imprecise" communication between stewards and NZ counterparts led to a costly administrative error. An audit by stewards on June 13 established Pinn was only entitled to claim 2kg in metropolitan races upon arrival in Victoria last month and had been "incorrectly" allocated a claim of 3kg from May 27 to June 12. The placings will be amended for the 29 races, and prizemoney awarded as though the disqualified horse had not started in the race. Fortunately, the RV Board has elected not to order the repayment of any prizemoney paid to the owner(s), trainers, or jockey Pinn from the 29 horses disqualified by the stewards.
  17. Absolutely and totally!!! . If correct weight is declared after a race is completed that is CORRECT WEIGHT. clear to pay. The punters were all paid ok. What about the owners ? taking the prize-money off them now is just plain WRONG. what a slap in the face for them because of stewards error. they should not do it. just move on ......... Wiremu has !!!! Wiremu has just Won the 3rd at Flemington today , without a claim. !!! πŸ˜„πŸ† well done young champ.!! Gave it to em' under a great ride with great balance, knocking off the 2 favourites. And 8-1 odds as well πŸ’°. May there be many more !!!
  18. You'll go 'Dizzy' trying to work that out . πŸ˜† But let's have a look how 'DIZZY Miss LIZZY' compares to 6 x fine 'Bettor's Delight ' mares of recent years , and work out if she is Better (Bettor ) than them .... that have taken on the great Menangle NSW, in recent years to get a fast time and more prizemoney . Looks like Stylish Memphis is the Winner πŸ† !!!!!!! for Wayne Higgs with most money πŸ’° and fastest timeπŸ“ˆ . but 'Dizzy' is right in the firing line ok. (and the only one Not sired by Bettor's Delight) Dr Susan 31 lifetime runs 8 wins (2 in NZ) about 1/4 $Million stakes 1.52. 1 MR Dizzy Miss Lizzy 35 runs 6 wins (4 in Nz) about 1/4 $Million stakes 1.52 MR Delightful Memphis 36 runs 11 wins (6 in Nz) $320,000 stakes (now winning in USA) Stylish Memphis 44 runs 15 wins (6 in Nz) about 3/4 $Million stakes 1.49.2 Braeview Kelly 50 runs 16 wins (7 in Nz) about 1/2 $Million stakes 1.49.5 Bettor Twist 33 runs 15 wins (14 in Nz) $600,000 1.52.1 La Rosa 33 runs 5 wins (5 in Nz) $200,000 (only just arrived in Australia) 1.53 Pl.
  19. I'm TheMightyQuinn (the 2 time Auckland Cup winner and 3 time Interdominin winner) had to race against this horse in photo below, as a youngster in New Zealand . But don't think he beat him. (Dexter Dunn had one of his first ever career wins driving on Quinny in a Reefton Junior drivers that year too lol πŸ˜„ nice one Dexter !! ( about a fortnight after Quinny ran down the track in the NZ Derby behind our photo horse. ) Who is the Quinny killer seen here ?
  20. well i guess Greatness is possibly on a 'smaller Scale' in Nz ? 😎 both did 'ok' ya think ???πŸ˜‰ with SMOKEN UP 2 wins from 10 starts for John and David Butcher and $15,000 earned in early Nz career............(before the 50 wins and $ 2,500,000 overseas with Justice) and I'm TheMightyQUINN with 6 wins from 27 for Peter Bagrie and $100,000 earned in 2 seasons in Nz racing.................. (before the 50 wins and $5 mill in Oz with 3 Interdoms with the Halls) the true blue champion Blacks A Fake 72 wins from 100 odd starts and $4,500,000 earned and 4 x Interdoms for Natalie ( pretty good from the get go in QLD ) Pretty Awesome Trifecta πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†. 3 champs with near 200 wins and $12,000,000 between them .
  21. Can happen in Nz it seems Newmarket. the 2 Blackie mentioned were Positives when 2nd and 3rd in the Grand Final race behind Golden Reign mentioned 1995. Junior's Image from WA, the Winner was famously disqualified at Addington 1971 after winning the Grand Final. And yet another one .... Who do we have here that was later disqualified as well.? dear oh dear...πŸ™„.
  22. spot on mate. Yeah there is AGH , the great man himself ,in the background later promoted to 2nd with the champ CHOKIN. Flies eyes Victor Supreme with the young Wolfenden , nearly stole the march for Interdom glory , but run down late by the hard driven Victorian for Chris Alford . Golden Reign the winner 1995.
  23. Well some excellent picking by Ranga and Blackie and some wonderful photos on this page of thread. brilliant !!! Here's another one ? It took me a while to work out this photo .. who it was and when ? definitely Addington. But some of the 'older' boys might have a crack ? Who Do We have here ?? there's A horse with flies eyes goggles on too ? lol.
  24. How about this bloke. now there is a top Aussie Rubbed out for a year speaking of penalties on this thread. And did absolutely nothing wrong. Big injustice of all time I reckon . just because he was captain. and some of the lads gave the ball a rub. (they do it all the time on their pants) Steve is currently sticking it Right up the Poms in the Ashes . yehaaa !! lol. nothing better for the Aussies . (apart from beating the kiwis in the Interdominion maybe πŸ˜πŸ˜‰) Bledisloe Cup ?? what is that ? gave up on that 20 years ago πŸ˜‚
  25. Great points Galah. I think those doing things wrong might need more practise , not less lol.... Just have set penalties no matter who it is or how many drives they have . e.g 1/ skittle another runner = 2 weeks . 2/ failure to give your horse every chance to win by a poor decision in the view of the stewards = 3 weeks suspension. 3/ aiding another driver = 1 year etc etc. I once caused a fall at Redcliffe . Of course, as Always you immeadiately blame the horse . hanging, pacing poorly whatever you can think of. The stewards said to me " In respect to the penalty ,of which one has to allocated because 2 runners were on the deck , we find you guilty , what say you regarding penalty , $300 fine or suspension? " they actually asked lol πŸ˜‚. my reply " crikey mate, piss poor horse could hardly pace, you should be fining whoever broke the bloody thing in , $400 geez thats more than the weeks wages ? you got to be joking . you can't do that to a young fella. I only got $40 for driving the #$%^&thing . There reply ' One week out, it is then Gamma, now get out of here and don't come back in here (stewards room) with any of these BS excuses again. " lol πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚
