  1. Magician goes ok and Dalgetys are very good trainers, and Carter in the bike. Would need to grow a couple of legs though to be a Derby horse as it remains a maiden. Diamond Stables and Stonewall seem to have the wood on most of the 3 year olds at the mo, Gamma.
  2. Speaking of inaction, it is good to see HRNZ have appointed a new CEO even though he is an Ozzie from Queensland, Brad Steele. This has been the rumour for several months I understand! Hopefully he knows how to improve things as harness is going to need plenty of positive action to keep the sport afloat due to some seriously stupid decisions made over the past decade or so. Brad Steele has some financial nous under Ozzie business standards by the look of it, and he is certainly going to need to be pretty skilled to improve things! With Entain now at the helm the Ozzies are certainly in control of NZ harness racing for the next 24 years, due to McAnulty and co. Its a wait and see as to how this invasion from Ozzies of our once great industry goes in the future. Brodie telling it the way it is!
  3. They are either totally useless or deliberately trying to mislead punters, either way it is a downgrade to what we had when the website was run out of NZ!
  4. Wasn’t specifically commenting on Shards Matrix, there are examples in every race of misrepresentation of a horses chances in the race!
  5. They should be done for MISREPRESENTATION of facts? They are absolute amateurs since they took over the website!
  6. Lol you only backed it cos Clark wasnt on it! Well done Galah, havent had a go tonight. Had been going not bad races recently against race winners and change of driver helped but still didnt have a great run sitting parked! Its all good, down to race again on Sunday, normally doesnt miss a Canterbury meeting and chuck in a mid week trial for experience!
  7. This is the BS we are getting every race!! The comments are just absolutely illogical and inaccurate, you have to question any worth?
  8. The comments are totally BS though and make no sense, that surely AI would be able to do better than the crap they are putting out? Be far better not to have any comments as the ones they put out do often not tie up with anything logical or the fixed odds they offer! Trusted for 20+ years my xxxx!!
  9. The form and comments are according to the new TAB website are provided by “Racing and Sports” trusted form provider for 20+ years! Not sure where they believe that their form and comments are TRUSTED???? I wouldnt be trusting them at all! DIABOLICAL more like it!
  10. Not sure they are that cunning? Anyone that looks at the comments and backs something on their comment, is a punter that is not putting in their own work! Just so many are so far off the mark and nonsensical
  11. With respect to whoever or what representing the TAB and their new website is making the comments on the harness horses, YOU ARE JUST SO BAD!!!! when they changed over to the Ozzies doing it, I thought maybe they were just not up with the play and things would improve? Does not affect Brodie at all, as I wouldnt take any notice of them anyway! Most are just an absolute waste of time and so wrong that you wonder how they can be so inaccurate? Surely whoever or whatever is doing them not for accuracy but to clearly make money for Entain? They are so bad that I do not think it could be human doing them, or if it is human then that person is just so incompetent it isnt funny, snd needs SACKING!
  12. Nothing wrong with healthy debate, and personally find it refreshing that you are both expressing your opinion and some facts, whether they are right or wrong, it is interesting! There is no doubt that all the most winning stables use more enhancements and medicines than the stables that hardly win! You only need to look at their horses appearance on the track at this time of year!
  13. Despite what some have said, Entain was never after the TAB for the racing! They have the Sports and non sport betting with the TAB for 25 years, and that is what they were after! Do they really care if harness racing crashes in NZ? No, they do not, if they did Shannon would be coming out speaking about the current issues! McAnulty and others have been conned big time, just like what the looney left did to most citizens with the Covid BS! Fauci has been grilled and the truth is coming out all over the place including medical specialists who are now stating that the so called vaccines has been the reason for the excess deaths! Who wouldve thought?
  14. The up to 75 rating class at Addington on Friday night has 3 nominations? The 2 year old fillies race at Auckland Friday night for a reasonable stake, has how many nominations? ZERO!! Breeding incentives are working good!👍
  15. Didnt watch much of the racing today,! Note that race 6, being a race for horses that had won one race. They came home the last half in 61.4 and last 400m in 31.1????? Would that be the slowest last quarter on an all weather good track down south for a very long time???
  16. Michael House scratched 2 of his 6 down to race in the 5th race! Wonder why, Not enough room in the float?
  17. Do you enjoy the 1700 metre races on Ashburton track?
  18. Does anyone at all enjoy the 1700 metre racing at Ashburton? To Brodie it is just so damn boring, and to run group racing over it is farcical! Nothing out the back has any chance, as the front runners dominate and home turn not banked enough. These races are just a yawn fest and that sort of racing is not going to entice people to go on course or wager ! There is no way on earth that the race stakes are being covered by wagering! A Purdon horse not winning or featuring in the Sapling Stakes, who wouldve thought that??
  19. Certainly not Chief, Don’t believe I have been critical about aged horses still racing, providing they are competitive snd earning money! I certainly do not support aged horses racing, if they are not competitive and clearly showing that they have had enough! Race 5 could be made a Claimer, i believe it would bring s bit more interest to harness racing if they were brought back in! Why dont Addington put the feelers out again to see if it would work? Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say!
  20. Who wouldve thought the 13 year old Take After Me would ever be the favourite nowadays in a trot in Canterbury? Ozzie fields are packed with horses over 8 years old!
  21. Who wouldve thought that Michael House’s stable would consist of half the field of 12 runners at an Ashburton meeting? Yes Michael lines up 6 of the 12 runners in race 5 at Ashburton on Sunday in a 43-50 pace. Not too bad for someone that is dabbling in gallopers as well! Most are just battlers but giving owners a bit of a buzz and assisting Ashburton with no.s Doubt there be any team driving, all out for themselves.
  22. Gamma, as you know if we do our money from a poor drive then clearly we can feel a bit aggrieved! Lol. I backed the driver in question twice in one night thinking that she was a good driver going by her UDR! I was wrong, her good UDR is due solely to the horse she won with again tonight, Sharkies Girl. Anyway, no use crying over spilt milk, live and learn and onto the next meeting!
  23. Backed it first up at Cambridge and it was more of a cert beaten that night! It galloped away and made up so much ground and hard held! driver had a good UDR so I thought she must be able to drive, but Yeah/Nah!
  24. The beauty of an open forum is to discuss things, and we have different opinions on things! personally dont think 2400m in June for what used to be the end of the season is too hard on 2 year olds. There are many 2 year olds that take older horses later in the season and is a 1700m race at speed any easier than 2400m at a slower mile rate? The point I am trying to make is that races that have big stakes and small fields is no good for the longevity of harness racing! It is costing the industry as it does not get enough revenue from wagering to cover anywhere near the level of stakes!
  25. The Sapling Stakes used to be 2400metres and attracted good size fields! For some reason they think 1700 metres is better for the 2 year olds and yet they are only 2 months away from being 3 year olds under the old NZ season that had the horses age change! Reality is Gamma, that what they are doing is clearly not working, as only 6 starters and half the field coming out of the Dunn’s Woodend Beach stable! Where are all of the other 2 year olds wanting to race, if this 1700m sprint race is easier on young horses? Harness just can not be successful if they continue to be putting up reasonable money in age group and Group races and have only 5 or 6 starters. all those races are not attracting sufficient money to cover the costs and just turns off the people they need! PUNTERS!
