Think a lot of the staff went ages ago unless TAB For Ever can advise otherwise

We hear from trainers saying that they are looking forward to this day from HRNZ that has the $60k finals for horses bred by stallions under $5k! Of course if you win this then it is good for the owner and trainer obviously! This is only able being run due to the cash being injected by Entain otherwise it wouldn't be run and it seems that HRNZ dont understand this somehow? Anyway if they think they are going well then they are the ones in power but Who would be wanting them to run their business if they were wanting to stay afloat!

We need a representative from the TAB and HRNZ to provide info and support for their employer as to what they are doing and why! personally believe that we get very little out of either organisation!

Thanks Gamma for your thoughts always appreciated and you are indeed an enthusiast. CEO Brad Steele has said that everything is positive with harness racing. He should know as he has all the relative figures so We need to just get on with it, knowing that we are being told the truth. Not sure why they called the Committee then and where it has got to? Mustve thought it was not required after all? What a relief 😅😂

There has to be someone that pulls the plug before the time Entains 5 years is up. They need to act now or harness will never recover but then again everything is said to be positive apparently?

Still overseas but note that Cambridge have got a good meeting coming up Thursday night with 7 races and 45 starters at the moment! I am questioning the rationale coming from the CEO of HRNZ that states that everything is positive with harness racing? What happens when the cash from Entain dries up for the North Island? It must be all good nothing to worry about, Entain will be more than happy to continue to put in each and every year to keep the stakes up and bonuses going! Flawed business decisions are very puzzling.

Do we really believe that this 5 per cent breeding bonus is going to really be an incentive? Good they trying but we no it won’t be anywhere enough to entice the average harness breeder to continue to breed foals. It also says it is for 5 years providing there is a budget for it! We know that there probably won’t in 5 years time

Only got to Oslo today and only here for a couple of days and seeing several other places in Norway. Yes pretty clean but expensive and wondered how pdople could afford to live here? Google says average income is 720,000NOK, and exchange rate to NZD is around 6 to 1 so approx. over $100k NZD! You would need it sith the ridiculous price of stuff here! A cotton shirt I saw in the window, nothing that flash, 1699NOK, so just under $300NZD lol. Think we should stay in NZ even though we do have issues 😂

“Auckland continues to be rated in the top 10 liveable cities in the world” Probably is rated highly due to the state of other countries around the world! Travelling Europe at the moment and have covered a fair bit of territory and havent been to any country that I would consider living in!! If you think that NZ is expensive then think again! Currently in Oslo Norway and just ludicrous how expensive it is. A hamburger meal at a fast food place is around $30NZD and a pint of beer is around $16NZD with the conversion, Great Britain is horrendously expensive as well and full of the wrong sort of immigrants, am I allowed to say that Chief?? To be fair for liveability Chch leaves Dorkland for dead and for harness racing as we all know. Harness racing in Auckland is perilously close to being obliterated as it is impossible to see how it can be fixed!

You are on the money there! The truth of the matter is that they don’t treat punters equally in NZ!

Unfortunately they ate not exactly endowed with a great business sense, and that is why they continue to need to falsify figures! They need people at the helm with business success who will do their best to right things! While they are all on big salaries and the money from Entain keeps rolling in then all is good, once that stops it is going to be a shit show!

Does anyone know the betting figures for Auckland last Friday night? Note that the average field size for 8 of the races was only 6 starters?? Seriously how on earth anyone can think that Auckland should be getting heavily subsidised and has a rosey future has to be deluded surely? Things are just getting worse for Auckland and no promising signals apart from HRNZ saying that things are positive!

They don’t allow it now everywhere that I have been! A lot of gambling shops, Paddy Power and several others but no one seems to be going into them or coming out when I have seen them?

They don’t want turnover from anyone that has intentions of winning or do win! Reality is that he will be back bigger than ever and onwards and upwards while the TAB provides fixed odds on harness racing in NZ

So why is it that we are not able to access the NZ TAB website?

Currently overseas and can not get the TAB website up due to the new policy brought in by the TAB and Entain! Just looked on HRNZ site and they are now showing the fixed odds on that! Think this is a great initiative and great to see how much I am missing out on while unable to wager when overseas! Do the odds get updated or is it only the opening odds?

Wouldnt allow Brodie on for $1k in one go Gamma! The AML law they adopting is $1k which the TAB is not abiding by the law! they probably wouldnt take a $1k top 3 from Brodie without slashing the odds They would more than likely let their preferred punters on though!
