  1. You are a fucking idiot thinking Brad strangled Majestic Man. The horse refused to take the lane ,he wanted to come wide which he couldn't if you had of watched, and Brad had a hell of a time getting him to settle. How do I know this you clown, because I part own the horse. He was cruising in the trail, and we know he would have won but for that. Brad copped a 5 day holiday trying to straighten him up and using the whip excessively.Phil Williamson was a very frustrated trainer after that. But that's racing folks.
  2. Will be on course tomorrow. Will see you there Neil. A dream to have two horses in an Inter final, and something for you to be very proud of and unthinkable when first starting this whole syndicate process. To win it would be a crowning success to all concerned.
  3. I have been known to become quite animated at times , especially if there are any baseball bats around. So don,t take anything I say personally, its mostly tounge in cheek . Win or lose its a great thing to be apart of.
  4. MM has more speed off the gate so it is plaintively obvious what the tactics will be. Otherwise you end up parked or sit in the trail and get pushed back as they come around from the back. Purdon is going to have to drive Winterfell hard off the arm and that,s his Achilles heel, and MM can stay as well as sprint. Remember he sat parked on record pace and wasnt knocked around to finish 3rd, and but for racing room on first night would have run past Winterfell before they hit the line. Oh and dont forget his 1.55 mile rate over the sprint winning as he liked with Winterfell a distant 4th. If we win and I think we can, you will see me standing with the others basking in the limelight with two fingers up Gammalite, make sure you are watching.,
  5. Piss off. Its MM,s to lose from no 4 off the front. You definitely are on the payroll mate, no matter your facade.
  6. Its a pity draws dictate results. We were surprised Brad took MM into the death last night considering his points tally, but he didn't knock him around on a NZ record pace and a comfortable placing. I also notice Triple Eight made the Final with a good run up the lane for 3rd. Along with Ashley he would be another smoky for good place money in the Final as he was very unlucky in the heats and does posses some ability. One Aussie in the Final , but not their year. Knowing our luck with draws in big races with MM we will get the car park again. Here,s hoping not.
  7. Came home well for forth on a hot last half. Might just make the final and be my smokey, although Ultimate Sniper looks nigh on unbeatable after that run. I've seen plenty of upsets in Grand Finals though when the moneys up , remember Rondel, Carclew, etc.
  8. Thats because its allowed to descend into nastiness. That is another story altogether. Thats fine Gammalite, your perogative mate.
  9. Thought he would be the find of the series, not handling it at all. Chase Auckland, Temporale, The Fixer, Majestic Man
  10. You didnt answer my question. What horses did you race Gammalite ?out of curiosity.
  11. Im interested . What were the horses you raced?. Have followed Aussie racing since spending time in Sydney,in the 70,s and marrying an Aussie from Central Coast NSW, ( Taree).
  12. Oh, and if anyone is interested I think The Fixer is the bet of the night on Friday.
  13. Are you on their payroll . ?.I appreciate everything they have achieved and we haven't been "thrashed" as such at times, more unlucky if anything with minor placings. You are obviously on a need to know basis so without putting myself in an awkward position the case is closed. You can make your own assumptions.
  14. Thanks Flag. Im going up for the Final night. I think we will have a big turnout, am only hoping Monty can pull a big one out of the hat over the longer distance and make the Final also.
  15. There in a nut shell is your answer. Combine the two, and add some other unmentionables and it is laid bare. Untouchable is the word Im looking for.
  16. Thanks Hunter.
  17. Not when you are on the receiving end my boy.
  18. Geeze you would have to be deaf dumb and blind TO NOT THINK he was looking out for his horse. In 50 odd years of being part of the Harness scene I find the absolute arrogance of this setup and the way it gets away with it and not only the "racing style ", beggars belief. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. As much as i admire the skills , for the sake of NZ racing its time to pull a few heads in. Im not alone in this train of thought. You guys keep following the pacing side of it and continue to pull your hair out. Fun watching
  19. How good was our Majestic Man, crushed them. He is a completely different horse right ways round. And he can sprint and stay. To say after the raft of bad luck and draws that we are over the moon is an understatement. He can win this thing no doubt.
  20. Not an impressive drive on Colt Thirty One I have to say by Dixon. Thats his Inters over. But how impressive was AG,s WhiteSox again. Barry Purdon is a legend, full stop.
  21. You havnt lived long enough son. Sir Castleton would be very competitive today, as would a few of those mentioned. Equipment has changed as has equine nutrition and training methods, so those horses under today's conditions would be no less as good. A horse is a horse no matter the time frame, and while the breed has changed somewhat the advent of AI in the 60,s in the States only narrowed the gene pool and produced clone horses. But it is pointless comparing horses from different eras. Regards Globe
  22. No,Globe Derby sire line died out numerous years ago. Pity. Spent years in Aussie going to many tracks of old. Melbourne Showgrounds ,Wayville, Harold Park ( thousands of times) Taree, etc.
  23. Cheers Bud. I was a great fan of the Globe Derby sire line , which of course is no more. As one of the owners of two running tomorrow night( Majestic Man and Monty Python) it should be a good night. I am picking the Aussie Colt Thirty One to improve over the sprint , he had a power of work to do on night one and did well to get as close as he did. Majestic man deserves a win after some luckless runs, he loves it on a right hand track and Phil discards all the gear he needs for left hand. The other two are noted sprinters.
  24. i know Im late but should be able to catch you guys. Colt Thirty One , Majestic Man, Classie Brigade, Temporale
  25. Well I got back tonite what I lost at Adders today by backing horses over a mile at Auckland. Like taking candy from a baby. You are full of shit lad.
