  1. Sorry looking at it as a owner, but if he doesn't get a result pretty quick back they go ,his numbers tell me there are plenty taking up his offer.
  2. Michael often puts the best driver in the country on his horses for a start, does alot of 50/50 deals where the owners stop paying , not a bad start to his business model wouldn't you think.
  3. Attendance Average age of members, probably right for days other than premiere days or nights. If it was run as a private business there would be no members. The cost of putting staff on and catering for small numbers is simply not economic. Saying that there is definitely a place for memberships and the club has introduced alot of different options overs the last couple of year's so the membership model has evolved but it needs to keep happening as does racing.
  4. All the indicators are telling me his tab informant was indeed talking thru his arse.
  5. Probably before fixed odds but at the same time less people go to the races since television
  6. Obviously speaking to someone talking out of their arse, turnovers have been very good again not on the money today Mr Brodie.
  7. Tote poll for the day approximately 700 thousand , not sure where you get your 10k from, maybe just do a bit of homework, clearly not on the money today.
  8. Turnover approximately 1.15 million , yes I have a breakdown. If you want to know why every race was started at the top of the straight it was to look after the bend exiting the straight because we have another meeting in two weeks time. With no guarantee of the weather our track committee and programmer made the decision and in my opinion was a bloody good one which I will defend all day long.
  9. Easier to get there at 4 than 5, as for crowd size I'd say about the same as a good night at forbury
  10. Seems like you guys are on the money, 4 seems to be the time people start arriving at clubs and pubs these day's, well people in your age group anyway and that is exactly the target market the club are after, well heeled sleeper moguls.
  11. Pretty hard to take grass track harness racing seriously with some of the appalling crossings around the country, no not talking thru my pocket just limiting my outlay.
  12. See what you mean e.g A J Whitesock's was robbed, Yeah Rite, should have gone to specsavers.
  13. Spellbound left the beach yesterday to join Nathan and Mikayla
  14. Stonewall are registered I'm not purely because of costs to owners.1000 owners is the aim but maybe I'm dreaming, face book is handy but again you need to do it in a closed group if you want to put prices in.
  15. Some of the rules are abit over the top but unfortunately owners do need to be protected from rogue managers. The basic rule is if you are taking any sort of management fee or commission you need to be registered, which I strongly agree with. I do have a problem with not being able to advertise monthly fees and buy in price when you do it for nothing. I currently look after over 300 owners and yes some percentages are very small but with a bit of success and alot of communication I'm hoping they turn into bigger owners.
  16. Unfortunately the rules around syndication make it very difficult to cold call on prospective members, advertising without being registered and not breaking the rules isn't easy. Addington is going to hold another owners night in a few month's time ,you would be surprised by the lack of trainer participation.
  17. Personally I thought the little green jug was the most exciting race of the weekend and shock horror it was over a mile
  18. Famous words from a trainer with a horse in the first " if one of my horses dosen't win in it's first six starts I'd shoot it" Hunter you should be backing this one.
  19. They did make it pretty clear for the first month it would be a big learning curve for the stipes and drivers and there were plenty of warnings. I would be very interested in your report for the next couple of months and maybe put in total drives. Good work Basil.
  20. Henry Hubert's first go on the grass very hard to be confident although his gait isn't perfect so grass was possibly a help, as we all know grass is a great leveler and takes most of the speed horses out of play and mobile start again takes away one of Classie's strengths out of play. Bugga should have punted Classie myself.
  21. Westview got the money 13 a place fixed yesterday
