While I share this thread's general mood of discontent and frustration over inaction, the time for INACTION is fast running out...in brief, because Whinny HAS to get the ACTION signed off in this year's Budget. His 'Big MAC' (think: bureaucratic politico-industry assisters or Ministerial Advisory Committee) have to produce an ACTION PLAN and $$$$$ by end Feb that Whinny can get past Taxinda's Cabinet. Mebbe the deal is already done in terms of $$ for ACTION (part of the never-revealed Coalition Agreement/Compromise)...but IF NOT, Whinny may find himself falling off his horse in May, when the Budget is announced. And you can bet John Allen's ridiculously high salary that if that happens, it won't be Whinny's fault. (Nothing ever is.) It'll be the socialist regime's priorities of housing, health and edjamication (with free lunches for all) stopping Whinny from delivering on his promises to the racing industry. In summary: Expect positive news/action from Whinny'ws office in the next two to four weeks. Or else.

appreciated, Chimbu ..the point is that if the TAB want us to punt on Singapore and HK racing, we need much better and easier access to form analysis..otherwise I / we will go offshore! In which case, was the $48M tech upgrade worth while??
-
The screenshot below will help us all understand what we get for the $48M website upgrade. Was just wanting some form details for Beauty Generation's race tonight at Sha Tin. Clicked on EXTENDED FORM and got this ...
-
mebbe this a cunning plan to make us all click more pages to improve the sites 'clicks' views or whatever. Definitely annoying!

I thought i was the only one being driven insane by Peter Early There...even worse when he decides we all need to hear him sloshing his cuppa tea and tomato sarmie around his chops there 'live' ...

dont let the facts get in the way of your Form Guide!
Weasel replied to Weasel's topic in Galloping Chat
woops try again ...posted too soon Form Guide says: Railway winner who went a big race when 3rd course/distance here 26/1. Respect. Incorrect. SM ran 3rd at Ellerslie on 8 Dec (not 26 Jan), went on to win the Railway, then ran a game 5th (a neck and a nose from 3rd) in the Concorde on 26/1 when carrying 60kg. Just saying! -
Santa Monica has to lug 6okg in the Open Hcp sprint on Saturday and what does the TAB say about its chances? 15.00 15.004.40 Comment:Railway winner who went a big race when 3rd course/distance 26/1. Respect

keep a close eye on Murless..good'un in the making

mebbe not, Chief, but they're sure to call Tommy Tom-Tom after the races for all his winning tips and how he worked them out (it was really quite obvious, of course, black typer down in grade, blinkers on or off, first time or not, mid-weak not weekend opposition, fave track, fave jockey, track to suit despite pen readings not made available to punters in advance, apprentice allowance or not, it's all in the BP, yours for $39.95 or 1o for $35 no refunds)
-
Oh God, here we go again ..i confidently predict this thread will now descend into another endless diatribe involving the usual suspects on subjects such as dropping in grade, mid week v weekend class, blinkers on or off, first time with or without,, track conditions, blue prints etc etc etc ad nauseum ad infinitum ...DONT DO IT!!!

Ok..who's with me? BOAYS GET MORE vs BGP? 1O consecutive Saturdays then payout per share...the list below is the BGP race days...it doesn't matter that we match their total $$$..if we have a pool of (say) even 20% of their $75k, we can still go H2H ..just for the hell of it..it's all about the relative % profit and the fun of it all through a great period of summer/autumn racing here and in Oz. Thoroughbreds only, on the stated race days..we will need to sort a selector or two or five..people who know what they're doing!! (starting with Jen !!)...picking our selectors by invitation from PJs comp?? When all is said and done, if you put in $500 and lose it all, it has cost you $50 a week. There is already an account established, that can be modified for this purpose (BOAY 4 MAIJA VANCE FUND current balance nil), so deposits of $500 ($250 minimum to be in?) can be accepted immediately. I am willing to have this account that I established for charitable purposes used, and happy for it to be audited/co-signed or whatever for security/integrity purposes. Any BOAYERS want to be in on this? We've got about 10 days to get organised! 23 Feb Matamata Breeders Stks day 2 March Ellerslie Derby Day 9 March Ellerslie Auckland Cup Day 16 March Trentham Oaks / Flemington All Star Mile 23 March Tauranga Trophy ,and/or OZ 30 March Ellerslie / Awapuni Sires Produce Stks 6 April SYDNEY DAY 1 / Te Aroha Breeders Stks Day 13 April SYDNEY DAY 2 20 April Ellerslie Easter 27 April Te Rapa Travis Stks

Ok, the Mustelid is going to state what appears (to said Mustelid) to be The Obvious. Why don't we start a BOAYS GET PAID (BOAYERS GET PAID??) CLUB just to totally befuddle NZTR/TAB ?? And to have some fun, of course. Don't need Facebook, we've got this site! FOR BOAY members only. wHAT Shall we say ...minimum deposit $500 or multiples thereof ..??.close it off at/near end of Feb and punt through March and April only; thoroughbreds only, no sports betting, and finish at the end of the NSW carnival approx 8-10 weeks max. I realise Jason has a pUNTERS Club going but that's for most of the year. What would that do for site traffic volumes, Chief??

are you kidding me?
-
Oooh Jessabelle ...I'm not sure I like the name Musty ...makes me feel sorta old and unclean and smelly and totally undesirable. LOL
-
perhaps this person has a background in PR and understands when to keep one's head below the parapet (apparently this is helpful when the bullets are flying!)...Te Rapa is a thoroughly unreliable galloping surface in recent years, a shadow of its former great self as a venue, and as one who was there often in its heyday, very sad to see/experience the below-par facilities, including overpriced food and beverage, slow customer 'service', and (worst of all) a track that either has a strong leader's bias or is 'off' near the rail.

It be like using your last $40 on a hurricanes ticket and be handed a blindfold to wear while you sit in the caketin. A) no one would put their last $40 on a Hurricanes ticket B) anyone who did should have their blindfold removed and be forced to watch. Just kidding, mate!!

editing before posting?? hush yaw mouth, Tonka! We cant have basic operational competence in the TAB..it's create a dangerous precedent and customers might flock to the site on account of its quality content, credibility and attention to detail !!

No one wants jocks NOT to celebrate success...what most people want is for the jock to wait til after the post before going delirious with themselves... Mr Rusof nearly fell off Melody Belle before the post a few months ago when he dropped one rein in all his excitement...

Stipes Report yesterday dealt with something said by M Cameron in a post-race interview on Wednesday at Tauranga (after winning on Pasabahce). What did he say that was 'inadvisable'? M Cameron PASABAHCE - Was spoken to regarding inadvisable comments made in a post-race interview.

What a shame; he has the potential to do the Michael Walker thing...if he wants an easy ride to the top, he's picked the wrong game. Unless he's a natural lightweight, he's probably going to get too heavy too soon.

Gracious, genuine, kindness personified. Must be the reason you got that knighthood, Sir G. Welcome back. MM

you are blotting your copybook this week, Thomass with this last remark....you couldnt resist the temptation to try and offend a poster whose opinion is at odds with your own ..'why can't a rodent? A Weasel is not a rodent. It is a mustelid. For the gazillionth time on this forum, Thomass, you are ...WRONG.

Exactly, mardi... sometimes very tiny changes in training regime, feed, environment, the weather, having a certain horsey mate in a box alongside them or training with them, makes a horse happier healthier etc. Ridiculous that trainers should have to explain everything they do/have done with the punter in mind. It's the punter's risk to back a horse on any given day at the odds offered.
