Pressure is mounting on Canterbury Rugby to change the name .... My suggestion is CANTERBURY BRAVES. (Or BRAVEHEARTS) BOAYERS got any opinions on whether the name should be changed? And what to? MM

IMO Stipes are terribly inconsistent...the 'celebration' was muted and marginally before the line so should have been a warning ...whereas OP gets yet another warning for 'shifting in' -ie taking another horse's line when not sufficiently clear - thats about the fourht warning in the last fortnight but no suspension when he's clearly ignoring the reprimands. -
Winx will/would not be beaten by TAS this season.. Her sectionlas and ringcraft/maturity leave him for dead. Al lthis talk about him taking her on is just emotional nonsense - typical of human nature ...we all WANT something to seriously challenge her but not beat her..she is so much better than anything else going around in Australasia. TAS is a phenomenal 3yo but even he would have trouble matching her turn of foot, stride length, will to win, and power under all conditions and distances (well, 1400-2200m)

unvelievably yes it has ...and for no good reason ....if Mr Harris had arrived 'not knowing what gear was to go on the horse' as Thomass suggests, why was he carrying a spare TT in his pocket? Has it been verified that the equipment was a TT (ie has Ms Jonker's statement been independently corroborated)?

from a quick reading of the Stipes Report, my eyebrows are raised as a result of a SUSPICIOUS MIND. ( As an aside, did you notice the dogs race result being displayed on screen with the PRODUCER video clip shows the winner is SUSPICIOUS MINDS. But I digress....) If the stable hand thought the TT was misplaced, why did he not attempt to fix it in the birdcage, ie on the spot? Handing over a 'replacement tongue tie' does indeed sound rather bizarre...does he carry other replacement parts in his pocket?

keep calm VC ..dont want you running outta energy before Saturday LOL MM

I wonder if they're thinking of extending her career for another Cox Plate?
-
.add the likes of Bonecrusher, Kingston Town for me...best two in Australasia that I saw at the track. Would've loved to see Secretariat up close but the Belmont Stakes on TV was pretty good. Still is ... one could even say EXCITING ...and only one eejit plonker on this thread would disagree.
-
why are they a secret?
-
What were the readings from last Saturday? Be good if you could post them now for me please
-
since you "requested the Pen readings" I assume you requested them before the races and received them before the reaces...why didnt you post them -as a helpful bloke would - on this site?

The BP found value on CP at 45's....after being a G3 winner with BO 1st time...unlucky last start when shuffled back from the horror rail draw....ran on well while gawking around... Funny, but no surprise, that CP was not mentioned at all in your pre-race musings, Thomass. Why didn't you mention him as a stand-out before the race? Let me answer for you, since you NEVER select before a race.... you didn't realise until after he'd won that there were reasons why he might reverse his form.
-
into ground that was overwatered I am interested in this remark ...can you explain with details please ?
-
LOLOL Tommy tomTom ...i notice you mention only Platinum Invador from our pre-race discussion...are you claiming it now as a selection of yours? You don't mention More Wonder or any of the other horses! I thought PI's run was unbelievably good, three races in three weeks ...let's hope its legs haven't been ruined!
-
incoming incoming and at your service MC, we ,missed you yesterday! Clearly I am too early to tell you the result of your Wuffie at the SC, but I am so on board with you that i have speculated the WeeWeasels pocket money for next week on it... and if I were Thomass I'd be on this thread telling you that Crown Prosecutor is a monty for the Derby yesterday cos the blinkers were either on or off first or second time bla bla bla ... I hope you and I cop a Festive Reward very soon!
-
as an aside MORE WONDER yes, he's fit , 10 starts since Labour Weekend, has won only twice (over 1400m) in that time, hasnt raced beyond 1600m at all and is stepping up in trip from 1600 to 2400m in one go... Rogie is planning on taking Winx apart in the Queen Elizabeth with this superhorse...but I wouldn't touch it, despite the fact that its great-granma is Melbourne Cup winner Jezabeel. Top training effort if it wins. PLATINUM INVADOR looks a genuine stayer but is having to back up quickly AGAIN over a punishing trip (for a 3yo) having had to race last week (and win) to make the cut. Wouldnt be surprised it it runs last. Point is, Thomass ...you don't have a frikkin clue what to back until after the race, and then you're miraculously a fountain of knowledge.
-
so your selection for the Derby is ....?
-
CC was worried about the on pace bias Nonsense..CC was commenting about NZ jocks allowing slow tempos to dominate at Pukekohe causing a sit-sprint pattern. You just couldn't resist turning barryb's subsequent comment (about having a good day on the punt ) to speculate on which horses/why according to your MINDLESSLY STUPID POST-RACE 'wisdom' ... from behind, it is easy to look a cow or a horse in the arse, Thomass. SO HERE'S THE CHALLENGE..which horse - just the name of one horse will do - shall we put our money on in the Derby tomorrow, based on your BP and infinite wisdom. You have until start time to let us all know.
-
Winx isnt boring Thomass ...THIS INTERMINABLE SAME OL SAME OL SHITE FROM YOU IS BORING

does Sunline's Ozzie racing record not count as 'overseas'?
