  1. I have no expectation of winning - so giving me a toweling should be even within your wrinkly grasp!
  2. Sure, who did you have in mind? And are you entering also?
  3. I don't usually do comps, but on the basis I have some time, I'll enter for the sake of good sport.
  4. Yes, but if yours were at value, then the idea is that the returns would come later. So to have priced Dreamtesta at $2 or less - then well done. Otherwise it was a bet that probably should not be taken. I priced it at $2.56 my self, so no bet there.
  5. That didn't work out so well. All the cryptic clues from Thomass didn't help. Still $2.30 from 3 selections - could have been worse.
  6. If I was betting R2 (although I tend to stear clear of races with first starters), I'd be Mowenna who I priced at $6.
  7. Very similar prices 5 & 6. $8.60 and $5. Although perfidia shorter that mine on NZ tab. I have other fav at $4.80 but they are my top two in race. Both shorter NZ tab. Hellbound a bit longer for me at $34. Good luck barry. Don't price first starters so in the dark there.
  8. I'll try and fly to the sky towards the Alps as I head spacewards. But instead of your usual bullshit where you can then write more fairytales afterwards, tell us which of those 3 I put up meet the down in grade criteria. Or will it still be, only if they win. You have zero credibility.
  9. I removed any notion of credit. And my price has zero to do with class since my prices analysis doesn't even know what class the horse raced in. It doesn't need to know that - since the horse didn't know it either.
  10. Got some beauties at Ashburton today. Down In Grade specials. R2 #13 Dreamtesta R4 #10 Exclaim R6 #13 Madam Swiss Thank me later.
  11. Selecting them after the races does have a distinct advantage. Hence why the BP does so well. Anyone using the BP needs all the help they can get although that advantage isn't really going to help financially.
  12. Yes, even value for me - but less value than the $8 available for Relda when I put my post up. Well done barry.
  13. i'd only seen tote price barry - saw LIL at $4, hence my comment.
  14. Just seen this barry so not much help. Not claiming any credit, but had Rosetta at $3.10 the 7th. I think Relda is a decent go in the 8th if handles the wet - At the prices, Lady In Lace not value for me - and not at current prices for you - so hope you got on early for a decent price.
  15. Plenty of ability but after the first 400m, not a sh.t show. And talk about erratic. Remove the blinkers I'd say.
  16. I fancy Havoc in the 8th $5.40
  17. If you missed posts from Thomass, nothing.
  18. Well, if it meets the performance, it deserves the rating. Simple.
  19. It seemed capable of being maintained a decade or so back. Business decisions have been responsible for the cost implications - decisions that were made that had little to no effect on revenue, certainly no effect on the surplus between revenue and expenses. Along with the desire to retain monopoly control of that environment. Things done differently back then, would not have brought about the need to outsource. Now, it's become the perceived only option.
  20. No they wouldn't. Where has it been stated that a handicapper would use solely time as their assessment of merit.
  21. Stop talking to yourself dickhead.
  22. Little wonder racing here is the way it is. A decent handicapper can assess merit, and that is what they should do. Otherwise just get a basic computer if that's all you need.
  23. I think we've all seen enough of 'your' stats to know they're fairytales. Blinkers on, down in grade etc etc. You live in a world of make believe. Not a fact to be seen.
  24. I just love your generalisations. What purpose they could possibly serve is beyond me - when you can simply assess the horse against the competition to know whether it has an edge. But was I surprised to find out that there is a difference. My goodness I was. "Generally" I couldn't believe it, but there you go. Of course it could simply be an aberration since the difference is next to zero. The performance difference of horses from the North running down South against track benchmarks - provide a 0.01 second (up to 0.02 seconds on some tracks) advantage 'generally' to an Auckland horse over a SI one. No difference between an Auckland one and a CD one. Useless info for me, since I don't use generalisations - but certainly something for blue print followers to consider. Working out which ones may get the general 0.01 second or not - well I'll leave that to you to work out. Fill ya boots. Thomass will let us know the ones after they've won. Of course, that info comes with a caveat - that only covers the last 8 years.
