What a great win, and the drive of the day. Funny race thou, great things happen gone 600m home, so leaders hampered a few, while marcola went woosh. Last year, every horse went quicker time than the winner today, go figure

Globe, i know you love the guy, thats fine, and his record is ok without being amazing, must add he wins most of his races lower sth island, usually weaker class horses, average drivers, his record at addington not flash. But maybe have a look at this horses first start before you stick up for him, he totally butchered the drive, 3 back on outer at 800m, didnt pull out, boxed in, flew late.

Thats Williamson for you. I liked mama knows best in the last, but i thought he would stuff up drive today, so never bet on it. Sure enough, drawn 1, bottled up with so many lead changes, then run into tiring horse in front when running into money. Horse is more of a grinder type, should not have hunted up at start, it could have drifted back then get train up.

Let us know reply, be interesting. I think the CJC are in for a shock in the coming years. I reckon the popular cup saturday will fade away, and become what it used to be like, here is why. Firstly, the stand debacle, public not told. Secondly, they have become bloody greedy. Charging heaps for a boot party to see second rate nags. A few i know are not prepared to fork out $105, yes $105 for entrance and to drink expensive and limited selection grog, eat basic crappy food, in a room that is on par with a working mans club.

Watched this last night, thought it was good. Only thing, I think if you watch again after today, they will be wrong on so many things. Firstly, they yapped on about The Fixer being good money at $4-40 fixed, both him and the whale saying it will close fav at $3-80? Now it is a good horse, but no way will this horse start fav. I am sure it will pay more that $3-80 at start of race. This is a very open race, yet everyone was picking this horse to win.
