    A few years ago, if you came off the rails and checked a horse which galloped you would be disqualified…. I like the old rule. Look at Ann Sophie in the last today, certainly caused interference when pushing out, now it seems it’s allowed.

    On this site there are trainers and ex jockeys, maybe you could answer below questions if they were asked 30 yrs ago….lets say around 1990. 1, Who made the decision to call off racing, was it mainly jockeys like today? 2, Are the majority of track conditions worse now than then? 3, Did the clubs, trainers & owners apply more pressure on jockeys to continue riding even if conditions not ideal? 4, Compare both eras regarding track watering? Thanks, be interesting to hear, also anything else that has changed in this timeframe that could help me understand…

    Come on, we had Xmas racing in the Sth island on tight turning tracks recently, can’t remember one falling.

    Usually we see horses slip when on a bend, but on a straight early in race?

    Well look why this is happening, surely even you can see these horses continuing to fall is getting serious. So horse slipped, you can see obviously, but surely if it was an issue it should have been sorted earlier?

    Once again, carnage in the first at Otaki, no doubt will hear what happened. Gallops need to look closely at this, SAFE & co will jump on all this and next minute… gallops will be going where dogs go

    He probably thought he would get the front, first time for ages he had a good run early so pity it didn’t work out. Thought it would have fought on bettter on previous runs, but oh well

Horse got great run through, thought wahoo, bit of a speed duel then sat parked, hit lead but stopped, poor compared to last runs where it had been wide and fought well… Oh well, let’s see if it starts Sunday, odds did half from opening

    Yes, had heavy shower before and during first race, but surely must have been an issue before race 6?

    Too true, industry has been given plenty of warnings to tidy act up…. Id be selling dogs overseas now, no good waiting till end of racing, be plenty selling then, and more than likely something put in place to stop selling overseas.

    No, you’re right I wouldn’t back it ever. Just mainly interested in his story recently, is this the only one he trains, if so is there a story behind it? I suppose it’s just me thinking how great he was as a jockey then did great things in Aus.

    I can just see Kieran McAnulty hiding behind a tree…. Had other Australian operators for the TAB to team up with, yet this clown went with Entain which already had a chequered past…
