I get a few offers from TAB & Betcha, both the same, will give 25% deposit BBs up to $50. I suppose they are offering a heap of other offers, so maybe cutting back on deposit deals

A great day at Methven last Sunday, club really puts on a show. Best part was the new toilet block that has been built/ renovated, even has a room to sit in complete with tables and chairs outside, well done. Motukarara need to upgrade their loos, they are a disgrace. Food on course only average, used to provide burgers and other options, pretty basic, chips half cooked, had food later. Track….. well not sure what to make of it. Anything leading, trailing or 3 deep won, nothing else really featured. Now, is it reason they have workouts, trails or horses testing that just use inside strip? Really needs to be looked at, I stopped betting after first 5 races. Didn’t help my bet of the day was involved in speed duel, both faded🤭

The only reason Entain wants Geo Blocking is to take control of NZ punters….even you know that if they had control, odds will be less than now… so would be raking it in.

Oh dear…. Punters be feeling sick if they punted Confessional🫣. Horse won well last start, but small field so Paul couldnt stuff up that drive…. But in bigger fields like tonight, always unlucky. Well, dropping from $40 to $25 will hardly make any difference to anyone actually interested in harness, although might get a few more drunk young ones there, here’s what has pissed me off in the last few years. 1-Alcohol, it’s bad enough paying big money for a simple beer, but after a few races they start selling you only 2 at a time, bloody hopeless if you’re in a group?? Does my head in…. 2-Food, pretty limited really in general areas, and bloody expensive. That’s why most have lunch or breakfast before arriving. 3-Seating, now the stand has gone very little seating is available? 4-Betting, usually I do betting on phone, but a few years back we had syndicate so had to bet with TAB. No bet slips anywhere, queue of many, We attended once in TAB area, from memory it was $100, got somewhere to bet and sit, that’s all ☹️ 5-Atmosphere, I used to love going but now in my late 50s it doesn’t have that buzz it once had, rather than horse followers excited about harness, others excited about music. 6-Parking, terrible. Either taxi or Uber, which adds to a very expensive day. All of the above put me off going to Addington over cup week, would rather go to Riccarton.

Somebody should tell this crowd…. that we hardly have any 8 horse races anymore, so their bonus back 2nd and 3rd are useless, only 2 races out of the first 4 races have 8 runners. Yet TAB have same promo yet pay regardless of field size
