I see the exotics paid differently on both TAB & Betcha on first race at Cambridge. So maybe overseas punters are betting on Betcha??? Mmmmm

At Riccarton Members room yesterday, smallest crowd I have seen on the first jumping Saturday. Can’t just buy a sandwich anymore, need to order, $10-50 for soggy chips. Went to hot dog caravan instead, lady said she was real busy as many members coming down🤭

Let’s post a few unlucky runners to follow each week. I will start ball rolling…. Monaro Meg, no luck today. Horse began brilliantly but Gerard O’Reilly decided to stuff up drive. Held lead easily, obvious 2 horses ranging up so decided to pull back 3 deep, never gonna win. When clear was running on nicely, next time written all over it, sadly odds will be far shorter than $13.

I like doing my own homework, going back looking at replays.

Ted stopped these favs yesterday, first 2 didn’t pay a Div, last came 2nd. The boys never give Ted stick for crap tips, but when others give lemons you can see some scathing comments😆🤭. Let’s see how he goes today, posted about 20 horses so should get a couple.

Thing is mate, your not a gambler, more the type that sits at home with his stud book watching races and remember watching that mate win in 1958…. Now that’s fine, but your types don’t keep the game going. Entain had promos today at both NZ meetings, have reacted quickly and just sent emails out stating those will now be run on another couple of Aus meetings. Smart move, need to keep punters interested and betting more, will make me invest later. NZ tab previously did nothing like this, bigwigs would have put their feet up and had longer lunch. They also make heaps from their online casino business, which is propping up NZ racing, which is getting worse not better. The joke of the world, but those in charge continue to have Nth Island meetings all the time in winter, FFS why not look more at Sth Island racing on a Saturday, or use synthetic more??
