  1. Good time for Mango to get out…. Won’t be harness in Nth Island soon
  2. How can Auckland continue with these small field sizes. Tonight is a absolute joke…
  3. Good god…. Only you could see something positive around the calibre of horse racing in that field….they are mainly hacks!
  4. Average riding at best…. Mind you it is NZ
  5. WTF…. Did he have a lay bet on his horse? Best jump off a horse I have seen…
  6. Think your right, some sort of connection there. Mick & Leo I think are related in some way, must have been a older arrogant dwarf on the coast a few years back
  7. Where have you been…. Behind bars?
  8. Funny you mention that breed…. I remember a horse called Torpast, put $50 on it to win in the 80s, came from last to win at Forbury paying double figures. Think it won a couple more…
  9. Is Michael the one and only Mick?
  10. That means nothing does it…. Forget strike rates coz as I have mentioned before the top jockeys get the pick of the stable rides and mostly are short priced favs…. Look for jockeys that position a horse very well during the race, either on the speed or back, just because a horse doesn’t win you might not say the ride was bad. Anyway, if your comparing Williams with Kah then I have nothing to add here….
  11. I didn’t say that, but yes I think she is very overated. The horse she rode last Sat- Hayasugi to win was a very good performance. For mine the ride was nothing special, yet the horse put in a huge performance to get up in the line, any other better than average jockey would have won on it also. Look at Craig Williams, he is fantastic winning races by small margins while giving horses the perfect runs. Fine line between winning and losing,
  12. What’s your problem…. Maybe you should have listened to him on trackside before races Saturday, he wasnt on tv just audio, don’t care what you say it was poor, Anyway…. Ummm, that’s it from me on this, ummmm, hopefully he improves…. Ummmm before next interview…ummmmm
  13. Your opinion. Some jockeys ride poorly yet horse still wins.
  14. Chris Johnson? Surely he won’t be back riding again?
  15. Not bagging every jockey, just sticking up for the battling jockeys that get crap to average horses to ride each week, yet perform well.
  16. And just like that… won the first, well done.
  17. Read my post, recently going very average. Funny thou, him and OP always have good rides, they should ride more winners that they do.
  18. You may be right. Heard Sam Bergerson on Trackside interview this morn… I reckon he said ummmm about 100 times 😆
  19. Hey Chief me old mate, You have gone quiet over ya old mate Warren? Had great book at Riccarton yesterday with several warm favs, strike rate not so good now, just imagine if he had just the average rides like many jockeys. Good for punting thou, just bet against him!
  20. Good luck Kim with that first starter today at Ashburton 👍
  21. A few years back a local radio station with Breakfast announcers James Daniel’s & Ken Ellis did just that. From memory the horse from the Shinns stable was the handy filly Nevermore, won a few races. They got quite a few to the track, was good advertising so it can be done. If you have a good horse running on a big night, why not lease out a % for a cost?? Be a far better option, even engaging the BGP boys would be a good option.
  22. Is there a reason why? Something happen in the past? Always liked Jan Hay as a trainer, turned nags out well.
  23. Nothing wrong with a gimmick, but this one is gonna cost some bucks, chances are horses might not get to the races. Would be better targeting a trainer with a good horse, pay owner / trainer % to lease part of horse for a day or so when it races, those that draw get invited to event, would be a far better option. Trying to get into horse ownership when you have punters that can’t get a bet on…. Well
  24. Luckily for my wallet….. not bet on Style Council or Lester last few starts. Style Council, going good races but seems to be unlucky most starts, obviously not interested in winning. Lester, sat parked last start good run for 4th, today went to from and got nabbed. Think both nags had enough for now, with grass track racing coming to an end let’s wait for next year.
