  1. Totally agree with all you said. I have heaps of Freebets on TAB and Sportsbet, so off loaded on all the nags I have mentioned on this thread, still had the most on Lester & Style Council, agree too short but I can only use tab bonus bets on fixed odds, so if the go down the gurgles I will feel better😆. I do have a go on the TABs bonus bets, and Sportsbet too, had $540 to use😆😆, I only bet for a win mostly
  2. Haha, I’m not a big punter, $10, $20 or $50 is about my limit, that was what I put on Lester and Style Council, only $50 win. So no damage done, used to bet a bit more years ago but I learnt😆
  3. Yes, I assume you’re talking about White Star Orlando, no luck in straight. Bella Lindenny had no room late also. Well, everyone will know how my puntings gone after tomorrows meeting, I see Lester paying $5, not much value there in a stronger field, while Style Council paying $4-80 mmm. But what has been pleasing about the Blenheim track, horses have been winning from everywhere, yay. On another note, Just Ask Paddy? Watched replay a few times, looks like it lost its gate just before line, thought it might get relegated, or did they go easy on trainer as he was a local?
  4. Agree with you, painfull at times. Knowledge of racing and gambling is pretty poor overall. Worst part for me is the blind chimp they employ to put numbers on bottom of screen that show first 3 runners?? FFS, most of the time they are wrong, then after a close finish, up pops a photo finish banner, right over the finish line when replay shown, hopeless.
  5. Good luck to him, I am sure he will be picked up doing something involved in racing, after all he is entertaining as well as being a great caller. Who is the new young caller?
  6. Agree, no idea why driver opted to gamble on inside passage, when could have peeled of horse in fronts back and had clear run? Wont bag Kim too much, sometimes she comments on here😆
  7. Derby?
  8. Can remember Lopez MacFaber, always liked the Lopez name in a horse.
  9. Another couple to watch Sunday. Lester, galloped early but still could have gone close to winning if gaps came. Annas Boy, looked to be angling into good outside position 1000m out, strangely driver went to inside and found itself last. Wouldn’t have beaten Muscle Bank who went huge after early gallop, but should have finished a lot closer.
  10. Oh well, What we know after seeing the last 200 metres of that race…. Obviously didn’t want to win first day otherwise would have pulled off winners back earlier and got the win! Yep, my money talking here, horse ran very well, began well then pushed back to last to finish an unlucky 2nd. Oh well,
  11. Good money for it today, bolted in
  12. Stable certainly on fire recently
  13. Well winners are coming from those up front…. Not seen many charging from the back winning.
  14. Totally agree, Kennedy average lately. One to watch next time… To Catch A Thief. Was going to be in the finish until gap closed late
  15. Be interesting to see how track plays. I am expecting a front runners bias
  16. His beach training certainly had tongues wagging in the 80s/90s. All his horses ripped along in front, ran fields ragged. Really, he was ahead of his time, as drivers now do exactly the same, especially beach trainers. Had a few run ins with officials..
  17. Neil Brady passed away recently in Australia. What a colourful character he was. Franco Ice one of my Fav nags. RIP
  18. Not a good look…. No doubt more will come out in the wash
  19. He was pretty average today. If I owned Certainly I would be peeved with his ride, last and boomed home less than length winner…. Wow
  20. Now that I have asked about gallops and harness trainers, let’s see what we come up with here. A J Perucich- Of course known for driver / trainer of Stormymorn, but I am sure he was also a jockey but I know nothing about this? Anyone shed some light, can’t be too many that have been a jockey and won a race, then trained and driven several group trotting races? Somebody mentioned A Cowan, I know he was a jumps jockey and trained and drove harness horses, but don’t think he won group race. Any others spring to mind? Ta
  21. Oooops, sorry you’re right, Tony Shaw. What happened there, also where is Tony nowadays?
  22. What’s the goss on this one? Also what happened at Westport, I’m missing out
  23. Good one Gamma👍 Whats happened to last race, still not confirmed?
  24. I suppose Yulestar is the one that stands out for me. Nolan was a gallops trainer at the time when Yulestar arrived, from memory was a bit wayward early but once it started to race well it progressed into a great stayer. Add in Todd Mitchell who up until then had not been associated with anything of note, then you have small town trainer with unknown driver winning the big ones. I flew over to Brisbane for the Inters that he won, bookies offered huge odds for him, sadly only had a saver on him as thought he was up against it from draw. Gaps came and he powered home to win. Did Mitchell and Nolen fall out after this, sort of remember something happened. Then horse went to US, won a few early but then battled in low class races, not sure if he was sold or not, but really those that had him at the end got a bit greedy.
  25. Mike Stormont trained gallopers?
