    Old Stormy a good old plodder, time was real slow in this race. Great drive thou. Had good success in Australia too, outstayed the locals, think Jim O’Sullivan trained it when racing in Aus. Was lucky really, Scotch Tar and a few others were just finishing their careers, and Sir Castleton & Basil Dean just about to hit the headlines. Still, Stormy a good horse who hardly ever galloped.

    Yes, I suppose different time zones might allow NZ codes to be bet on. I am just struggling with the GEO Fencing but, stop me betting in Aus on Aussie racing, yet at the same time they will be welcoming overseas punters to bet with them, of course on Aussie racing??? This won’t go ahead, anyone with common sense knows this will be a total stuff up

    Interesting. So we would have different accounts? Not allowing NZers to bet overseas is my big issue. On one hand they want to stop it happening, yet they are looking for overseas punters to bet with Entain /Tab? I just don’t see how on one hand they want the monopoly, yet want to steal other countries punters?

    I think most posts are positive, apart from when I’m moaning🤭. Not many places where you can question drivers, trainers, each other. I do like hearing from others about punting, horses etc. Seems there is a few on here that remember racing in the 80s, which is my fav era

    Thought same as you, swoopers came hard at the finish. Looked to have half a gap early on, most races you would see jockeys go for it. Just trying to get a line on it, who knows, maybe trainer said to go easy on it.

    Try to attract customers to their NZ brands? Are you talking about overseas customers being lured by Entain?

    Very good post. Entain have stated they want to take the NZ 3 codes around the world. Ok, so that’s fine. But they will want those punters to bet on product outside NZ, yet they want to stop NZ punters from betting elsewhere? FFS, what am I missing?

    Race 1 today at Echuca , Our Red Morning. Ex kiwi horse which I thought was a good bet. Stuck a bit on it, had the perfect trail yet stayed there the whole way up straight to finish well back? Now, it was hard to see if gap was there or not, thought early in straight Zac Spain could have pushed through, but maybe not? Give us your views please, want to see what others think before I add to Black Book 👍

    Not surprising all the big trainers support this, they get most of the major prize money now, just want more. Maybe Australian racing should not allow their product to be used by tab/Entain? Now that would stuff them up

    Will be interesting if they push ahead with blocking. If they want to take NZ racing to the world, they will want those overseas to punt with Entain /Tab?? But don’t want NZers betting elsewhere? Talk about having ya cake and eat it too…. Could backfire

    So you don’t think that even with an Australian VPN address, that I won’t be able to bet in Aussie? Sportsbet allow Australian & NZ punters only, do you think that NZ government can control where we can bet? Or will it be Sportsbet that cancel NZers accounts? Surely if government stop punting overseas, that will affect all gambling? What about EBay, they miss out on gst outlaw EBay make them buy trademe, where will it end. Still trying to find out will overseas punters will be able to bet with Entain / Tab??? They need to be open

    I’ve done my homework regarding a VPN. Gonna be easy to set up on a personal iPhone, which is where I bet 100%. If I had to give up betting with Aus operators, I would just give up gambling. I hate people trying to control

    Any thoughts about the standing starts last night? Some appeared to be mobile standing starts, some got a flyer.

    Robin Butt seemed a real nice bloke. I remember he trained a nice mare in Agrinion. Backed her one day against Royden Glen who was red hot fav. He galloped a lap or so out, Agrinion in front and I was counting my money. Only thing, Royden Glenn put up an amazing performance to just get up on the line….I was filthy😆

    Just watched the first jumps race, didn’t have a bet but thought The Grinner would go well. Now I am no expert in jumps racing, but it seemed to be crowded most of the race, horse didn’t seem happy racing with others. Long way off turning for home, but made ground well for 3rd? What do others think, could jockey have ridden differently? Not having a go here, just asking the question.

    Well, The legend is running again in a few minutes. Drawn well you would think it will zoom to the front, if it can go 2.23 like 2 starts ago must go close. After all, Dance till dawn went same time recently with a far easier draw? As for my thoughts, I will say it won’t finish in the first 5, will have every chance and I will still have questions about its recent run. Good luck if your having a buck on it
