It seems from the price movements Arden Roanoke and King of Heroes (as Nowornever pointed out in other thread) are going to win.

Kind of like, First Son, in the last, drawn 1 behind Alexy on the second line and paying FF9.50 Could get a softish run so each way bet for me.

I want to back Isla's Joy for the place in Race 5 at FF3.10 (probably be higher tote) but I am sitting here resisting the urge because I know it is the wrong thing to do lol. Call it the Sunday Couch Blues.

PS Shartin was massive too in among the multitude of gallops races on Trackside.

It will be interesting to hear commentator Craig Rail call the card at Forbury today. I wish him all the very best. He has sure done his homework listening to him on the radio this morning.

Happy - don't let me put you off First Son but I fear he may end up being pushed back too far on the rail. "All dressed up and nowhere to go" for want of a better term. I think The Red Robber may have the go button pushed from the mobile arm, but hopefully Sheree can steer him home for ya.

His first call was very good, especially considering there only a few in it.

And John Versteeg drives a winner! Its all happening!

I was very impressed with Craig Rail today.

Extremely accurate and clearly knows one end of horse from the other.

Not a bad tipster too, especially as he has only been here 5 minutes.

Well done Craig, keep up the good work.

I agree. Someone to listen to I think.

Well done to John Versteeg and that winning drive by Dennis O"Connell on FSS was sensational...... those 2 will never win on the same day again one thinks.

Could have got off, should have got off....alas.

I've posted before that she is not a driver who comes off the fence.  19 out of 20 when she ends up on the fence early, she will always stay there irrespective of opportunity to come off.   She is very predictable in that respect.   Thats just her style.

Yes, I do recall you saying that.

An excellent observation to keep im mind for her drives.

Listening to the aussie twang you probably thought it was 11pm on a Saturday night watching a race from the back blocks in Australia so your mind started to drift off.

Yes First Son had an opportunities to come off the rail.

However what I found unusual and often frustrating is the mindset of drivers and not picking on any one driver because most of them have shockers from time to time.

The last race that First Son was in, you would’ve said that Alexy leads and Firdt Son trails for the first bit, however Sadhana which drew 6 and driven by Johnny Morrison makes a flier and goes to the front.

Now Sadhana is a very limited horse ability wise and probably will never win another race in NZ!

Why Johnny Morrison wanted to stay in front and try and lead all the way is very very hard to understand bearing in mind The red Robber wanted the front but Johnny Morrison didn’t hand up and trail.

Sadhana was under pressure a long way out and finished along way back at the finish, whereas is he had trailed he would’ve finished a lot closer!

If it was the trainers instruction to lead and stay there, all I,will say is that the trainer seriously overrates his horse.

As it was The Red Robber stuck on for 3rd so it was a big run.

Nothing will be said but the decision to not hand up to a pacemaker and trail with your limited ability horse is surprising!!

Yes, its sad to see him going around. Had a nice mare Gavotte in the 80s, very well bred. He must be 70?
