Some good races there tonight. Also some pretty straight forward and uninteresting races too though to be fair.

Couple at a bit of each way value to hopefully kick start the weekend.

Race 2 Norman Richards

Race 9 Rum In The Sun

Was very keen on Rum in the Sun too,  sure can trot some fast times but looking deeper into form most fresh up form is from mobile starts and over sprint distances,  add to that he's not so flash from a stand I'd expect a quiet run at the back in a big field as surely can't be fit enough after 3 months off.

Very true. His fresh record is exceptional though and that's a very even looking field.

As for you, Brodie.

I call bullshit.

Looking through those fields there is some good opportunity to make money. Particularly in the place markets at current prices.

Something you are usually quite good with.

It’s all good CP.

Haven’t had an investment for over 2 months now since the TAB put me as a potential money launderer!

Not really missing it either as it just not worth the effort as everything is now in the favour of the TAB.

Premier nights I don’t like as too many short priced favourites and backing outside of them I class as gambling!

I am sure some people will make money but as a betting platform I have never liked Premier type meetings when there is plenty of form.

Give me a maiden any day.

I agree plenty of money to be made tonight especially around the fields with 10+ runners Race 2,3 and 9

I've just anchored that matua Tana @$2.5 with everything tonight, money for jam...".IF" he steps!

What did you make of that?Looked like he had an educational run. The difference between a punters perspective and a drivers perspective as to what's best well illustrated there.

I only caught the last 800 on the radio, did he gallop at the start?... I'm of to Brodie's gaff , I hear he has a good bar fridge!

He trotted pretty rough early, then galloped going around the first bend.

He was far too short against that field.

Theodosia the winner had been going well.

He was risky because of his manners, but probably should still have won easily  given the ease in which he hit the line just on the back of the placegetters. Theodosia did pay a good dividend. Chris butt seems a good trainer.

Looked like Sundees Sun jumped a shadow in the home straight. May benefit from a shadow roll for Ashburton and Cup Week. Sorry, Bloom.

It was gone when it galloped. Pig of a nag, had a go on it tonite, should have won easily on previous runs, especially afta fav galloped. Hope it gallops every start over cup carnival! ?

So do we hope it continues to gallop, no offence to the horse and connections. Now if Oscar gallops as well we are home and dried.:)

Yeah Sundee Sun should’ve won and it was beaten when it galloped.

Phenomenal run by Oscar Bonavena and the fact that the AllStars are now buying up the best young trotters is not great news for the trotting owners and trainers as they will be running for the scraps as with the pacers.
