Brodie Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Cambridge trots today are going to run at a big loss! Have a look at the tote pools and there is bigger all offloading. When their is only a few hundred in the win and place pools with under an hour to a race there is problems. No way can harness clubs survive when there is a lack of interest from punters unfortunately Quote
Flagship uberalles Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 it really needed to be run on the grass at Thames, all the familys, marquees and holiday makers make it a great day, but of course the hierarchy that seem hell bent on destroying the sport have got rid of Thames (trots and gallops) and moved the date to te Aroha but the track there is deemed unstable or uneven, so it's moved again to the forbury park of the north ! Have only gone to Cambridge the once and have never returned. The Convention centre loses money hand over fist but its a great place to let your dog off and defecate everywhere. What years was he sending horses to Greymouth and can you possibly remember any of his winners. I don’t dwell on past winners, couldn’t even remember Cup winners years, prefer a maiden race any day! 1 Quote

Ranga, you disappoint me, I thought you would be able to name all of these horses that Purdon took over to Greymouth and were winning? Must be a memory thing? I wouldn’t have thought that the Rest Home would have sufficient storage in the garage? Quote
