Karrots
Was thinking exact same thing after last nite. Swaying towards its even, no clear cut top dog. Whoever gets the best draw & best run. American Dealer/Its All about Faith/Krug/Aladdin with peak fitness - cant leave out Ragazzo Mach too & nice run by Hot N T last nite. Davis
Krug seems to have lost his edge. Unfortunately, this happens with some young horses who are dominant in early season age group races. Later, in the season, the gap closes and other slower maturing horses catch up and get better than the early star. Or perhaps he is missing Nathan? 🤤

eljay
Hasn't been overblessed with the draws - not saying that why he not winning but if you look at these races this season they have been fair whizzing along. Mightn't be a Cardigan Bay but not a maiden that's for sure.
Richie
Definitely can but would need a good draw and a good run. There a few others that tougher than him

Last week in 7 horse field , KRUG had trouble crossing from gate draw 7 , causing 'tightening " on the first bend to runners inside him, and a bit gassed as well. So run down by ChristiansHavetime. Last run in the 6 horse field , drawn 6 , didn't bother trying for lead, sat One out- one back Prime position , and STILL only 2nd as leader (Who drew 1 Alley) running 55 second half to much a start on KRUG to be able to catch it. KRUG draws ONE, he might have had that advantage (with an 'easy' lead). ?
Newmarket
Gee, it is sad to see the Dalgety team run so poorly. What has happened, was a time a few years back they were easily 2nd best stable behind purdons. Not any more, going zilch. I see them advertising for owners facebook, they mite struggle

Williams as I think he would have won the race if he had. Horses not taking the passing lane seems to happen a lot at Alexandra Park. Majestic Man has done it in the past. Is there something wrong with the passing lane up there?

Is there something wrong with the passing lane up there? nah passing lane is just not needed sometimes, they stretch out alot more at alex park , if your not in the first five when they pan out you have to be really good to win and while the passing lane is the best possible position turning for home its not as advantageous as it might seem if you can keep your nag better balanced easing off, its always been a kind track that way especially 20 years ago with King Neil Brady!

Krug was quoted at $5 earlier this morning which seems overly generous but I see now he has been greyed out. Not sure if that means they won't be taking any more bets on him or are they just reassessing his price?

In saying that what a magnificent win it was. Full credit to winner. For me I'd need to see him sit outside American Dealer or another of those listed & see if he can win. Like how Bettor Twist, Amazing Dream etc can. When he does that then I'm happy to label top dog. Congrats tho to connections, what a win 👍😀
