Anyone know who the selectors are?

Shares are $1.01 each.

Might join up if The Brodster is on the selection panel.

Na not guilty Ranga.

Cup Day and punting do not mix!

Fields too even and/or Purdon shorties so I prefer to i vest rather than gamble!

Put up the head to heads and I might  be in?

No leave me out of that one.

Mick Guerin could stop a train with his selections and Greg O'Connor not much better. Brodie a little bit better but you will only get one or two in the money out of his five or six place bets paying $5.00, so need to put too much on to make any serious money unless they all roll home. Unlikely!

Best advice pick them yourself.

Nowornever, totally agree with you!

If you want to gamble on Cup Day then just do it yourself!

Fields are too tough and it will be the horses with the best runs on the day without doing too much unless you are an AllStars horse.

Far better punting on other race meetings in the future!

However, I challenge the NZ TAB to put their nuts on the line and let Brodie on for what he wants on “Head to Heads”!

Go on Bookies do that instead of your BS “any driver winning 4 races”!

I am prepared to always take them on but while they treat you like a criminal and a money launderer it makes it worthwhile occasionally!

Richie being under 1k collect at least you won’t be classed as a money launderer!

just a shame that Ardern has ruined the day for most!

So Mick Guerin can travel from Auckland to CHCH to run a punters club through an exemption granted ... he doesn't have to be vaccinated BUT I and thousands of others can't get back into NZ even though we're fully vaccinated and living in Covid free states in Australia....... Any moron can close a border, but it takes real skill to manage it properly, a skill I'm a 100000% sure Cindy and Chris don't have.

So Guerin gets an exemption? But not the drivers or others who actually contribute to the day?

Yes, heard him on SEN, granted exemption only needs to provide a negative test b4 departure - he maybe vaccinated or not I'm not sure nor care.

You watch what will happen at Xmas... she will allow the vaccinated from Auckland to travel within NZ which I support but they won't be needing a negative test before travelling ... yet she will sell that this is safer than allowing Kiwis overseas returning even though we need to be fully vaccinated and a negative test.

We've been saying it for months, safer to fly Perth to Auckland than Auckland to Wellington but the first option Isn't available unless you enter a lottery with 30,000 other people.

Look here I made this thread and you must stick to the topic.

If you don't do as I say you risk me packing my bags and heading out the door.

We don't run to those lengths at BOAY but occasionally it would  be nice to keep on Topic.  I do note though that NO ONE including the rule setters (informal and formal) ALWAYS stay on topic.  However.....

Back on topic ..... i bet our dearly departed carrot would be so proud of me.

The national punter’s club at today's NZ Cup meeting at Addington is set to hit six figures.

At 9am the total was over $70,000 and climbing, with punters able to invest until 1pm.

The much loved carrot always spoke in the highest terms of admiration for you...at least I think she was.

Why promote it and get a pot of $110k to then only turnover less than 75% of it?! Bet in the last race was $238 with $65,238 available. What a waste of time.

I think they were scared of spending it after the dismal display in the first few races. At least not spending it the punters got a return.

Like I said those two couldn't pick their nose but at least they did get one winner the 1.35 favourite Franco Indie 🤣🤣🤣

I see they are now reporting there are fears the after party for winning melbourne cup connections may become a super spreader event. One of the owners has tested positive and said many of his friends and family who attended were having tests.

The event held at a posh restaurant with all the covid protocols and which allows only double vaccinated people to attend, was apparently thought to be a safe place,as was the races.

Will Mickey G now call for a ban on the vaccinated from racecourses as well on the box seat next week. Would anyone see it even if he did ?

Mickey G after yesterday's tipping effort needs to focus more on tipping the right horses not his buddy's horses.

Now it's not his fault he followed the stupid government rules to get his exemption BUT in what world are we living in when a journalist can leave Auckland to work in CHCH but Ray Green can't, Tony Herlihy can't, Maurice McKendry can't, Todd Mitchell can't......... Not sure where the awesome Ian Smith lives or does his radio show from but he was also in CHCH to work on Cup Day.

Am pretty sure that Ian Smith lives in Napier. So if that's the case then i guess he was free to travel down to Chch.

Cheers Mardy, he's great to listen to on SEN, as is Baz M.... not so keen on Izzy though.

Personally I think senz with Ian Smith has been good radio, (i cant stand comedic radio host, Devlin springs to mind although hes not really comedic, more like pathetic) especially at a time of day where radios a bit sparse, some of the shit on zb, this is a pleasant change, the coverage, chat has been good.
