  1. What was the debt level at the end of those 9 years?
  2. $6 is disastrous and well below break even. How can suppliers cut their prices when their costs have escalated. Costs outside of their control.
  3. At $6.75 per kg every dairy farmer will be making a loss even after cutting all unnecessary expenditure.
  4. Hit no 1 in the USA 3 weeks ago. Still no 1 on some charts.
  5. 17 million online views. Turned down US$8million from a recording company since his video went viral. Oliver Anthony says he's turned down $8 million offers since going viral: 'Nothing special about me' www.foxnews.com Video Viral singing sensation Oliver Anthony said he'd never had any interest in being famous, turned down seven-figure offers from stunned music industry reps and lamented the divided state of the internet in a Facebook posting on Thursday. Anthony's song "Rich Men North of Richmond" exploded into a viral hit this month after he recorded it on his Virginia farmland, and the red-bearded, high school dropout described himself on Facebook as "just some idiot and his guitar" who couldn't have imagined he'd become so well-known. His song, which has been viewed more than 17 million times on YouTube as of Thursday afternoon, serves as both a screed against Washington greed and a lament for working-class ills like suicide, despair, high taxation, and working long hours for "bulls--- pay." It's won a host of conservative fans online, while some progressives have decried it as right-wing agitprop. Anthony noted his real name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford; Oliver Anthony was his grandfather and "Oliver Anthony Music" is a tribute to him and the Appalachia community he was born and raised in. He added that he dropped out of high school in 2010 at age 17. LIBERALS PILE ON DEM SENATOR FOR SHARING ‘RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND’ VIRAL SENSATION "At this point, I'll gladly go by Oliver because everyone knows me as such. But my friends and family still call me Chris. You can decide for yourself, either is fine," he wrote. He recounted reading more than 50,000 messages and emails in the past week that have painted a "brutally honest picture" of widespread addiction, unemployment, anxiety and hopelessness. "I'm sitting in such a weird place in my life right now. I never wanted to be a full time musician, much less sit at the top of the iTunes charts. Draven from RadioWv and I filmed these tunes on my land with the hope that it may hit 300k views. I still don't quite believe what has went on since we uploaded that. It's just strange to me," he wrote. "People in the music industry give me blank stares when I brush off 8 million dollar offers. I don't want 6 tour buses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. I don't want to play stadium shows, I don't want to be in the spotlight. I wrote the music I wrote because I was suffering with mental health and depression. These songs have connected with millions of people on such a deep level because they're being sung by someone feeling the words in the very moment they were being sung. No editing, no agent, no bulls--t. Just some idiot and his guitar. The style of music that we should have never gotten away from in the first place." Anthony discussed his past employment that included a "living hell" at a paper mill in North Carolina and once fracturing his skull in 2013 that forced him to move home to Virginia. He currently lives on farmland he paid $97,500 for, inside a 27-foot camper with a tarp on the roof, he says. From 2014 until this year, he worked outside sales in industrial manufacturing, where he got to know thousands of other blue-collar workers. BLUE-COLLAR POLITICAL ANTHEM ‘RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND’ BUMPS JASON ALDEAN SONG OUT OF TOP SPOT ON CHART "I've spent all day, everyday, for the last 10 years hearing the same story. People are SO damn tired of being neglected, divided and manipulated," he wrote. "There's nothing special about me. I'm not a good musician, I'm not a very good person. I've spent the last five years struggling with mental health and using alcohol to drown it. I am sad to see the world in the state it's in, with everyone fighting with each other. I have spent many nights feeling hopeless, that the greatest country on Earth is quickly fading away. "That being said, I HATE the way the Internet has divided all of us. The Internet is a parasite, that infects the minds of humans and has their way with them. Hours wasted, goals forgotten, loved ones sitting in houses with each other distracted all day by technology made by the hands of other poor souls in sweat shops in a foreign land." Anthony encouraged people to use their freedom of speech and never let it be taken away. "Just like those once wandering in the desert, we have lost our way from God and have let false idols distract us and divide us. It's a damn shame," he wrote. Video CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Anthony's concert on Aug. 23 in his hometown of Farmville, Virginia, sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale. The venue only holds 300 people, according to the Statesville Record & Landmark, and Anthony said he would be holding shows soon in larger places to accommodate more fans. With the popularity of his new song, his other works have also been viewed by millions online, such as "Ain't Gotta Dollar" and "I've Got to Get Sober." 6. On its own the milk prices are bad enough but add on top high interest rates, substantially higher input costs such as fuel and supplementary feed and you have a disaster for the industry. The loss in income and reduction in on farm expenditure will affect provincial towns and the government tax take.
  7. Case closed Te Akau has a young team and a good reputation for promoting youth just as @Special Agent said. Seems to have a gender bias though. https://teakauracing.com/category/our-team/
  8. There we go right on schedule. Just clocked in at work have we @holy ravioli ? You have perfected the art of self-immolation.
  9. I know full well what I wrote but that doesn't mean you don't suffer from cognitive dissonance. I see you still haven't learned how to quote properly. Anyway, case closed Te Akau has a young team and a good reputation for promoting youth just as @Special Agent said.
  10. Dear me there is that cognitive dissonance of yours creeping in again.
  11. Did you? Well done. When did these skills leave you?
  12. Do you have any spare? I know someone who needs it. Get well soon but I imagine after that win you are now a restricted punter at the TAB.
  13. Don't know where you dreamed that up from. Give up unless you are wanting to end up in China. There is clear evidence that TA complement their experience by hiring young and talented horse people. One point to @Special Agent.
  14. Don't you give up you are doing a great job of..... The evidence concurs with @Special Agent assertion that TA employs and promotes young people. I guess the marketing approach just publishes that fact.
  15. Now aged 33. Started at Te Akau in 2015 at age 25. The grey must be a fashion statement. Give up while your nose is still above ground!
  16. Point proven. Are you now knocking these active stakeholders that are younger than you?
  17. How about: Jamie Richards Sam Bergerson Reece Trumper Nicole Shailer
  18. So you've narrowed it down to a stable that has employed a jockey and an apprentice.
  19. You've just become the blue dog! @Special Agent commented that Te Akau seem to "pride themselves in facilitating the involvement and progression of youth". Ben Gleeson with no grey hairs and aged 28 supports that opinion.
  20. Really? I'd either conclude they had a good hairdresser or as @Special Agent suggest under age 40. @Special Agent was on the money as Ben Gleeson is aged 28. From 3 years ago: BLOODSTOCK MOVERS-AND-SHAKERS Ben Gleeson by Racing and Sports , 2 years ago Assistant trainer to Danny O’Brien Ben Gleeson - Assistant trainer Name: Ben Gleeson Age: 25 Current job title: Assistant trainer to Danny O'Brien How did you get into the industry? I got into the industry due to my parents. My mother Merilyn Anderson was a trainer and my father Damien Gleeson operates a breeding farm. The passion and interest was always fostered through them basically. What was your first job in racing? My first experiences in the industry came through helping mum at trackwork in the mornings, while seasonally working at the yearlings sales for dad. First racing memory? My first racing memory would be going to my first Cox Plate, and watching Sunline win like the superstar she was. Ever since I have loved the Cox Plate and the race day itself more than any other day. Who has been the biggest influence on your career? Working for Shannon Hope had a huge impact on me. He taught me the most about work ethic and how far it can get you. Even more so about how important the basics are when doing something properly. I have carried these lessons with me all the way through. If there was one thing you could change about racing / bloodstock in Australia, what would it be and why? I would change the trackwork times. Training horses in the light is the best way to see your horses train. Europe manage it and I can't see why we can't here. Furthermore, it'll improve the welfare and life of staff and attract more people to industry. I think it would be a huge benefit to the industry. I think in terms of race days themselves and general interest in the sport, racing is doing a great job promoting itself and increasing the awareness of big race days. The industry is making it more of a spectacle for all age groups and seem to be generating the right crowd numbers. In terms of work wise though, again, I would change trackwork hours to make the job more appealing. If you didn't work in racing, what would you be doing? I don't even know what else I would be doing. I only really know horses and that's it haha! Favourite racehorse of all time? My favourite racehorse was So You Think.
  21. You haven't "said".
  22. I don't know of any stable that would bother "lawyering up" against a negative opinion expressed by a disgruntled punter. Although isn't your main concern the lack of action by the Stipes?
  23. Yep. But then if they are addicted hopefully they'll go get help. Maybe we could set up TAB accounts with a bonus bet for them.
  24. My understanding was that a concession was given that the TABNZ would move out of pokies if the legislation was passed that bolstered the NZ TAB monopoly I.e. enact geoblocking legislation etc. I may have that wrong. Regardless it would be a bit stupid to pull them out before the other side delivered on their promises. Another $14m shortfall in funding.
  25. It was an opinion based on observation. What's wrong with that? Afterall that's the basis on which Labour managed the pandemic. Anyway you agreed with the observation but that the basis of the observation was just marketing imagery.
