  1. Removed them from where?
  2. What race was it? I can load it onto BOAY for everyone to look at.
  3. What has Labour done? More importantly what has the racing industry done to help itself?
  4. But you corrupt your statistics by including rail strikes and injuries initiated by dogs causing interference. You further corrupt those statistics by including rail strikes by dogs who strike the rails for no apparent reason including many who are not injured. You also make the assumption that all dogs were injured by the rail I.e. you don't consider that dogs may have hit the rail because they had suffered an injury from interference or just racing.
  5. Anyone who knows me will attest that I have never brown-nosed in my life. As for your negative views of Te Akau they are irrelevant. Those views are unfortunately representative of the malaise that has crept up on this country fueled by the ineptitude and socialist ideology of the biggest bunch of clowns ever to hold the Treasury benches in this country. As more and more stakeholders are disenfranchised in the racing industry the calls to cut the tall poppies down get louder from some individuals such as yourself. Leveling the playing doesn't mean bringing the top down to a lower level. The irony doesn't escape me that some people on one hand laud the achievements of Jamie Richards in Hong Kong (in my opinion he hasn't done anything special in HK yet) while denigrating the stable and systems that developed him and furthered his career.
  6. So for a novice Greyhound follower can you explain what the problem is here? What are you suggesting that could be changed to change what specific outcome?
  7. Seems to be a fact to me. But you have the envy and tall poppy problem not me.
  8. Same old same old.
  9. The last time I looked in May this year when the stakes cut was announced was that the cut in stakes was 3%. That is the drop would be $10m over $345m. At that time Victoria still had the highest average stake of $71,700. In my opinion Victoria also has better racing infrastructure overall than NSW.
  10. Have no idea what you are trying to say here. The fact is someone makes a positive comment/opinion about a particular stable and you immediately disparage it.
  11. I don't agree with the approach. It dilutes the prize money for those horses that are competitive. That has a number of downstream negatives. Yesterday a horse won $1,500 in stakes and didn't even finish.
  12. Well you missed that lengthy debate on a number of forums. If I recall correctly the conclusion was that difference is insignificant.
  13. A random statement. You haven't presented any evidence countering @Special Agent opinion. Yet you infer that their opinion is based on and influenced by Te Akau's marketing i.e. it's presumably an image that bears no relationship to the facts.
  14. I believe it has no merit. They are drawn randomly in order to counter a perceived view that some draws are better than others. I gather you are inferring that some draws are better than others?
  15. Nor have you. A statement indicative of your true intent.
  16. Your terms and conditions? So in your racing nirvana impoverished battlers will be fed by a raffle system rather than performance.
  17. The point @curious is distributing stake money to those that don't perform won't improve the quality of the fields. I'm arguing it would do the opposite. The only way @holy ravioli would not distort outcomes would be to give everyone the same amount as an appearance fee I.e. some cash for turning up. Now if the approach is to reduce top race stakes and bolster lower grade stakes e.g. reduce a Grp race by $50k and put $5k more into 10 maiden races than Holy Pasta might have a point.
  18. So it's a "random windfall" now? Who would get the random $5,000? Will it be drawn by lot? Will you have terms and conditions that any top stable horses that are not eligible? So in your example you reduce the winning stake by $5,000 and GIVE it to ONE other non placed horse. What about the other "battlers"? Will you reduce the winning stakes by more and "redistribute the wealth" further?
  19. The poster was expressing an opinion that Te Akau seem to select and promote youth. You are inferring they don't without even providing any evidence that there is a lot more grey hair in stable.
  20. It's called rewarding excellence. Racing is a competitive sport there should be no rewards for running last. There are no restrictions on making to to the top.
  21. The other problem with your approach is that it won't improve the quality of the fields and by extrapolation the attractiveness of our betting product. I'm surprised you are not promoting that horses racing for the top stables have to carry 2kg weight penalties.
