  1. Probably yes to both of your questions. But isn't that indicative of NZ? More so nowadays?! Regardless of that, the report has to be argued on its merits not any perception of bias. There are some positive recommendations in the report but also some obvious inconsistencies. I find it odd that not one recording was made of the conversations nor was one photo taken of the track where it was allegedly unsafe.
  2. Some background to Clement. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/over-and-out-deputy-commissioner-mike-clement-retires-recalls-42-years-on-the-front-line/EMOXQQSQVEFY2JI7Y2GUGYY4LA/
  3. What do your "reliable sources" tell you?
  4. Um.....you're not suggesting that everyone races a horse NOT to earn money?
  5. Correct. You are on the money Brodster.
  6. So basically all hearsay.
  7. What numbers? So where did Te Akau fail on strike rate? What is AFAIC? So are you comparing trainers or stables? From what I can see Te Akau have earned $2m more than the previous season. What am I missing?
  8. Surprise surprise!!! Clearly has strong links to the Auckland Area Police as a past Crown Solicitor in Auckland.

  10. Can we keep this Topic on Topic, please? It is an important one.
  11. I might give them a call directly and raise some of your more rational concerns.
  12. FFS maybe it's a smart dog and knew that the better going was on the inside and the quickest way around the track is to stay as close to the rail as possible.
  13. Do you have proof? Are you suggesting there are leaks within the RIB? Post the hard copy.
  14. You still haven't answered what was the point of comparing Te Akau's last two seasons?
  15. Which they have done many times before and continue to.
  16. @holy ravioli and @Tesio did you stop to think why there were more Te Akau starts this year?
  17. We don't know what he is comparing. You were diminishing the efforts of Walker and Te Akau and now you are scrambling for any support you can get even if it isn't relevant to your initial argument. Which is what you need to do because on all measures Walker was streets ahead of the opposition this season.
  18. That's a bit rough. There are lots of similar tracks in Australia and they actually promote those meetings. I wonder if that's why the industry in OZ has a strong fan base! Been a number of top class Jockey's who learnt their craft on those West Coast bush tracks!
  19. Not a very smart dog is it if it thinks it can cut through the rail to get to your pseudo lure i.e. cover. I doubt it can even see the cover because of the rail. Even then it didn't hit the rail it brushed it probably looking for a short cut because it was so much slower than the rest of the field. Surely you're suggesting there should be two lures one for the leaders and one for the slow dogs? You suffer from the worst case of sampling bias imaginable!
  20. FFS you really are clutching at straws now. The dog brushed the rail free of interference and cleared of any injury!!!
  21. Regardless what's your point? Are you comparing trainers or stables?
  22. I suggest you double check that figure.
  23. Are you comparing stables or trainers?
  24. Ok. Done that. What's your point? Are you comparing trainers or stables?
  25. Well then state it. BTW just a fine point the metric you are quoting is "starts" NOT "starters".
