  1. Every restricted punter has a flaw.
  2. Easier to screenshot the winning ticket from Monday.
  3. Based on your memory? Can you post it?
  4. Glad you are not the judge presiding over INCA.
  5. Linton Shard never won a race in Southland. A Chmiel horse has never run second to Linton Shard. You had better throw up another example to get some credibility back.
  6. As easy as confusing trackside 1 with trackside 2. It happens.😂
  7. Ok. I got confused. When is the replacement for Holden being sorted?
  8. I watched it on Trackside 1. I never changed the channel all day, never left the couch, the only thing that moved on Monday was my account balance going south after John Hay went and sat parked instead of staying in the 1-1.
  9. Heavens, she has a UDR better than the All Stars in 1995! Very nice to see someone who has trained and has knowledge of harness racing. I stand corrected on my lack of faith in the process.
  10. Will this do for the CEO? Catherine McDonald named as General Manager, Racing HRNZ. 27 October 2020 , News Harness Racing New Zealand has announced its new General Manager, Racing. Catherine McDonald has been appointed to the position, effectively replacing Darrin Williams who left after 26 years to take up a position at Addington Raceway. “I’m really excited to be joining the HRNZ team,” she says. “Catherine brings exceptional depth both commercially and strategically to the GM Racing role that will add real value and deliver strong benefit to HRNZ as we move forward,” says HRNZ Interim Chief Executive Phil Holden. “Catherine comes to us from Lincoln University where she was a special projects manager initially supporting the university with its earthquake claims then moving onto to a project managing the successful business case for a new $80m science facility development.” McDonald has also worked at the Christchurch City Council where she led teams on a variety of major city initiatives and projects. She has been heavily involved with the racing industry : “I was born and bred into harness racing, arriving on Cup day and I’ve been an owner, breeder and trainer.” Her family’s breeding success stories include Master Musician and the best horse she trained was three-win pacer Fear Me in the mid 1990s. “I am excited about the commercial capability and impact Catherine will deliver for both HRNZ and the wider industry,” said Holden. McDonald starts at HRNZ on November 9, a day before the New Zealand Cup.
  11. Courtesy of Garrick Knight on Twitter. I hope there is progress one way or another but it would be great to see the end of it if that was warranted.
  12. Olivia T must be rated nearer to O'Connell than Herlihy. Should Herlihy not get done for careless driving? Marginal? What kind of word is marginal? If there is contact, there is contact. Do I suppose because he did it to himself he gets a warning? But if you do it to another sulky you get fined etc. But I thought the RIU was there to protect punters, if B for B lost because of Herlihy's indiscretion then what? A hefty fine or nothing? Is this marginal? Are the consequences marginal for the punter?
  13. I thought you said Addington was? Christchurch and Palmy are pretty similar so are you getting them mixed up?
  14. He is very handy. His best horse, La Bella Vita, has gone to NSW to race. Keep an eye out for that.
  15. Even though you and I see different things when it comes to their decisions they have zero quality control as you say. I would have no respect for them as well. Lamb stopped the horses rushing the tapes in the first and then they got turned out and in the second they rushed and he let them go. Go figure.
  16. Sad but true isn't it.
  17. I believe Mark Purdon has been warned twice in recent times about not driving minor placing horses out at the finish. Warnings for some and canings for others.
  18. I'm joking about the 0.9% but not about the 99%. House has a terrible record as a driver. That is why you don't see him out there unless it is a blue moon.
  19. It is always a big jump after winning a trot. Hard to see it feature today. I thought if Silver Surfer got away in one piece he could be thereabouts.
  20. That is not an achievement to be fair. 99% of drivers fall into that category and the other 0.9% have retired.
  21. What do you like today?
  22. Rebel Kibbybones will probably drift. Matt Cross doesn't have it in his selections so it won't be talked in. Will probably be longer the tote.
  23. Forbury, a suggested multi for you: Pace and Pride at $1.22 to ease your way into things then going a bit wider with Delightful Dude at $1.70, add in It's All About Faith at $1.10 and Spankem at $1.22 for the place into a super roughy for the day of Beyond Words at a whopping $3.50!! You will not see the fishbowl the same again with this 9 to 1 multi. You will be buying new pyjamas with blue and silver stars and a house in the suburb of Addington after today.
  24. My tip: John Hay all day.
  25. It will be worth reading the full report when it comes out. I don't think he will be too concerned about not driving for 6 months as he is hardly a regular and didn't get a fine to go with it. John Murdoch's drive on Essence of Easton yesterday would have incurred the wrath of the stipes if it had been favourite. He elected to go the rails while 3 back the outside but that is what you are betting on when you have hobby trainers doing the steering. Great drive yesterday Denis, will be a good memory for the next 6 months.
