Yes, it was Timaru. Yes, it was a lowly maiden. Yes, it led all the way. But it looked like a very good mover with a bit of scope. 3.18.0 for the 2600m, 56.9 and 28.2 on its ear at a track that is nowhere near as fast most others. Nominated for Methven so will be keen to see if she goes on with it. I always like to see if horses which make an early impression go on with it. Most of the time they don't, unfortunately.

Its a poor look for a punter. Unfortunately the lifeboat is already taken by the gallops but fortunately, Winny P is captain of the ship and he says he will do everything he can to get that lifeboat to shore.

He goes ok. I just never understand how he can throw them out there when he has a tipping line. They can't be his best ones surely but who knows.

Also, Just Wondering went out favourite again today. Not sure why. It was punted into an unbelievable quote at Oamaru after the Whale put it in his best bets list. Then was short today again in a tidy maiden field. Maybe the Whale has got people on the bandwagon thinking it is a super horse or something so expectations are high.

He is just a part-timer now and with that, the skills may diminish. His horses always go well but the edge is not there anymore.

If u were Brodie, the answer you would get is go onto Betfair and lay it. ..... I do agree they should do something as it's a poor look.

Crazy. 1.46.2 The TV pictures made them look like they were in fast forward! Lazarus was never going to win that so massive effort to get second. Draws are everything. -
Who will win the 18/19 Drivers Premiership?
Happy Sunrise replied to Happy Sunrise's topic in Trotting Chat
I think that is the key. Whoever travels will win it. Matty W has Southland, Otago and sometimes Canterbury covered. Tim Williams may be a chance too as he gets around. Ricky May would go close but he has shown no real interest before in travelling. -

It was miles off them on settling. Another All-Stars top liner quite possibly.

Harriet is a horse finally delivering to its full potential now. Dominion will be an awesome race. Anything could just about win it.

True. Kyle Cameron is going very well. Has really come out of the shadows and now you have to pay attention to whatever horse he is producing in a race. The Dunn stable is going pretty good too though. The quinella they got and Henry Hubert serving it up and hanging in there was pretty good. Marcoola went big, as well as The Moon Shadow and Alta Orlando.

Yes, I agree that it should be in the stipes report. However, it is not surprising to me that they missed it or deemed not enough. Not unusual for things to slide. They were probably out the back of the stand having a coffee while the race was on.

I don't even have to look at the race in question. Nothing happens because it is part of the rules now. When was the last time a horse got put out for something other than breaking? Very rare these days. If it isn't over the final stages then it is irrelevant basically.

Who is the new person aged 29? Not hard to work out but one should not speculate on here. Twelve face judge at special hearing on harness race-fixing charges STUFF Andrew Douglas Stuart, 41, pleaded not guilty to three race fixing charges and elected trial by jury. Several harness racing industry figures are denying fraud conspiracy charges alleging race fixing and electing trial by jury. Not guilty pleas were entered before Judge Raoul Neave at a Christchurch District Court session on Tuesday where 12 defendants arrested in the Operation Inca investigation made appearances. Bail conditions were relaxed as well, with the consent of the police prosecutor Barnaby Hawes. Passports can be returned to the defendants and they now only have bail conditions requiring them to live at specified addresses. All are on bail. STUFF Nigel Raymond McGrath, 44, has pleaded not guilty and elected trial. Those who pleaded not guilty were remanded to a Crown case review hearing on March 25, but the cases will also be reviewed before then, on December 5. READ MORE: * Suppressions in place on harness racing prosecutions * Harness racing under siege * Stars, scandal and a crippling threat Several of those charged were refused interim suppression at a session before Judge Neave on September 11 but the order has been continued while they file appeal applications in the High Court. Those appeals are due to be filed on October 9 and the suppressions will continue until the hearings. A separate court sitting was arranged to deal with 12 of the Operation Inca defendants. A 13th man, Brent Wall, is appearing in the North Island. Three men aged 26, 35, and 71 are still to enter pleas on race fixing charges. Suppression was granted to one additional defendant, aged 50, who had been refused earlier but was appealing. He faces one race fixing charge. It means suppression will continue to March 25. Four new charges – three race fixing and one of possessing ecstasy tablets for supply – were laid against a man, aged 29, who already faced two charges of offering to supply the drug. Another man, Andrew Douglas Stuart, 41, of Loburn, pleaded not guilty to three race fixing charges and elected trial by jury. He has never had suppression and although the issue was raised by defence counsel Chris McVeigh QC, Judge Neave declined to grant it. That decision is not being appealed. Nigel Raymond McGrath, a 44-year-old horse trainer from Rolleston, facing one race fixing charge, has pleaded not guilty and elected trial. He got the same remand and suppression was also refused. He is not appealing. Some defendants have been remanded without plea to the review on December 5 on charges, which cannot be reported in detail. Charges which can be reported include offering or supplying ecstasy. Pleas are expected to be entered on that date. Stuff

You have to give it to the AllStars, they do communicate a lot of information. We were just getting on the plane home from Auckland when we got the news the RIU has reversed its decision and Natalie is free to drive at trials and raceday. We were surprised it took this long but at least is happened and we can get on with it. We have pulled Thefixer out of the Canterbury Classic. Just a little foot problem and we will probably point him toward Methven so Nat will be on Eamon Maguire. We have about eight going to the trials on Wednesday including Cruz Bromac. I decided to nominate Winterfell for the Dominion Handicap but it is really a little bit of a throw at the stumps. The thing is he is a natural stayer and handicapped to run against those sort of horses and if he came up in the spring and measured up you’d feel a fool not having him in. He is trialling this week too

TAB must be doing very well then because I would not describe myself as a 'wee' punter. But maybe I am??
-
I was hardly in a race to the back of the tote with you. It was an ok field so all horses mentioned will keep.
-
Are you restricted there too?

You don't want to leave an electronic trail? ?
