  1. He was scratched a couple of weeks ago due to coughing for a few days. If he were human, I would say after moving away from home, being in a new and pressure cooked environment with big expectations, getting sick, racing more than ever, travelling heaps, I would say he has hit the wall. Be interesting to know what comes out. My bet is he is run down.
  2. Lazarus. Must be sick? Off the charts bad run by Lazarus.
  3. From a horse moving out a cart width when it shouldn't have to. Nothing ever gets chucked out these days. The stipes are only focused on drivers. Hence, Tim Williams will probably get a warning or telling off.
  4. It was car wreck...you can see the future too CC.
  5. Kings Landing needs to get chucked. You can't move out like that and check a horse and go onto win. However, I won't be holding my breath.
  6. See Matt Cross said they have bet on Dadndave in from 6 to 4 20. A thousand on him at 4 80. Interesting considering it is his second start from a stand. My Carbon Copy is in the race plus a Purdon runner. I will watch with interest.
  7. Geez, Kaks. You can see the frikking future!
  8. if you are are a regular harness junkie...I imagine you are already on our chair getting prepared for the 14 races from Pocono Downs, 6 from Kaikoura and 8 from Invercargill. A marathon of 28 races from 10.30 till 5.40. If you are dedicated harness junkie.....you will also be staying on to watch the 3 Australian harness meetings. If you are the ultimate harness junkie...you will also be following Mick Guerin on Twitter during the day. Me, I could do the regular stage but someone would need to pay me to watch the aussie harness and I would need a few disco lollies to help me through the ultimate junkie stage.
  9. Anyone got anything over the 2 days? Angustia in race 2 at 3 60FF good place money....I hope. Invercargill horses too if you are keen on any.
  10. Seems like it needs another operation. Hard to imagine it racing again soon if ever at all.
  11. At least the media can market the Cup as a kiwi V aussie battle. As shallow as it sounds that always seems to be a winner in garnering attention on the TV etc.
  12. Who are they? ?
  13. The 2 are back. I think it is fair enough until the court proceedings become much more serious and decisions are made ( not thinking too deeply here) JCA QUASH RACEDAY DRIVING EXCLUSIONS FOR MR X AND MR Y Posted by Garrick Knight | Oct 26, 2018 | Harness, News The Judicial Control Authority (JCA), on Friday afternoon, released their ruling on the exclusions of two drivers charged with race fixing by Police, referred to as ‘Mr X’ and ‘Mr Y’, and both are now free to resume driving in official races. The two-man JCA panel, comprising Geoff Hall and Lynton Stevens QC, found that the Racecourse Inspector’s decisions dated September 27 and 28 to prevent both men from driving in totalisator races, failed to take in to account proportionality. That is, whether the harm such measures would result in to Mr X and Mr Y were proportionate to the charges they faced. Accordingly, Hall and Stevens quashed the Racecourse Inspector’s exclusion of both men. “It follows that, pending the disposition of the criminal charges against open horsemen X and Y, or alternatively pending the making of any further order by the Judicial Committee, open horsemen X and Y can drive at any race meeting at which betting is available,” read the ruling. Hall and Stevens were clear that, if the Police provided compelling evidence against X and Y regarding alleged race fixing, the exclusions could come back in to place. “The decisions of the Racecourse Inspector were made on the basis of the fact open horsemen X and Y have been charged with criminal offences and the limited information contained in the Police summary of facts in each case. “Disclosure by the Police under the Criminal Disclosure Act 2008 is yet to be provided. “Accordingly, should further relevant information become available, or if there is a material change of circumstances, the Racing Integrity Unit is granted leave to bring the application for a ruling back before the Judicial Committee for further consideration.” Both men, among numerous others, are due back in court on December 5 where it is expected Police will lodge a summary of evidence. Mike Godber, General Manager of the Racing Integrity Unit, said his team “accept the JCA ruling”. The RIU went to the JCA for clarification on the exclusion notices as an alternative to enduring a high court appeal by Mr X and Mr Y.
  14. Yes, my mistake. Sorry.
  15. His idol must have been Richard Brosnan. When I followed southern trots closely he always had handy horses but were invariably on the rails if the opportunity arose.
  16. 2 wins in 5 days. There is hope for us all. Brilliant.
  17. I was wrong about his skills diminishing. The game is fickle.
  18. and another win. The man is back! The man knows his horses. Knows his trade. Over the years he and his horses have always had my respect.
  19. Jason Teaz at the finish of race 2....'He's a Ladies Man for the biggest ladies man of all time....Matty Williamson' I'm speechless! I thought it was Brodie.
  20. With A Dream must be an owner with the All Stars!
  21. The TAB don't love you as a person? They trifecta you when you want to quinella?
  22. The one you had when you were 13 years old standing in front of the PE class in your tight gym shorts was still a good one?
  23. What is the worst rejection by the TAB you have had?
  24. What a bloody comedy that is. So someone on anti depressants pisses in your sawdust, the horses use it, it peps them up that much that they win and and the trainer gets a positive swab on both occasions. Who the hell would be a trainer. And he ends up losing both race stakes. FFS. You really do have to wonder. [13] Racing Inspectors took sawdust samples from all of the boxes at Forbury Park Raceway used by Mr Ferguson. The same boxes were used both nights. The samples were sent to the NZ Racing Laboratory Services for analysis. The Laboratory advised the RIU the samples contained not only venlafaxine but also other human medications including tramadol (painkiller), citalopram (anti-depressant), metoprolol (blood pressure/angina) and temazepam (insomnia). These medications were not in all samples which predominately contained venlafaxine. [14] Racing Integrity Inspectors interviewed a person who acknowledged they had urinated in the boxes used by Mr Ferguson and they had been taking medication containing venlafaxine. They denied they had been taking any of the other medication which was found in the sawdust samples sent for analysing. Another person acknowledged urinating in the boxes while on another medication at the raceway as well but they were adamant they had not used the boxes used by Mr Ferguson.
  25. Laz is on at 3 45pm on Sunday. Both drawn well so we will see who is best.
