Shockingly bad day at Auckland. Stewards report isn't going to be a pretty read at all, no matter how much they try to tone it down.

How can a greyhound be registered when its sire is unknown? https://www.grnz.co.nz/greyhounds/profiles.aspx?AnimalID=36201 I can't find any provisions in the GRNZ rules for immaculate conception. Any other owners/trainers may want to pursue this. Surely it can't compete for the NZ Cup in this state.

Animal Neglect - Trent Agent and Kimberlee Williams
Yankiwi replied to BitofaLegend's topic in Dog Chat
It's not something I would normally expect the RIB to pick up on, but even more especially, straight after a race but prior to the all-clear being given. Someone must have tipped the RIB off & good on them! If it was the Fahey's themselves that would be showing some form of integrity. However, I doubt that will end up being the case. They need to be held to account for a breach of the welfare code. Welfare is said to be paramount within the industry. One infraction of the welfare code is no more or less important than any other. Since they are dual trainers the each one of them is just a responsible as the other in ensuring welfare. I expect that both of them should get the same two years that Howard Scott had received. Anything less will be favouritism. -

Yet another breach of the Welfare Code yesterday. Great timing Fahey's... https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/15225/stewards-report.aspx 2). CHATTY MAVIS (J & D Fahey) - declared a late scratching following race 11 when it was found this runner was ineligible due to an expired vaccination. Stewards will enquire into the circumstances surrounding this. -

And this same bitch, which was supposed to be retired, won another one yesterday. If it wasn't from a well-protected GRNZ Board member's kennels, I doubt this would have been allowed to happen. If this had come from one of the kennels that always seem to get targeted by the RIU/RIB, this would not be happening. It is dishonest to state a dog will be retired after being charged for the second time (its first two NZ races) and then not do so.
-
More dishonesty, this time straight from a GRNZ board. https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/14667/135230/result-detail.aspx 1 Sept 2021 - Race #1 - "Gitan" received its 2nd marring charge in its 2nd race in NZ. Connections claim the bitch would be retired. GITAN (3) - eased and shifted up the track rounding the final bend dictating CLAWS IN MARVEL wide. Checked off this runners heels prior to exiting the bend. Marred this runner in the run home. Stood down for 3 months for Marring and pending a satisfactory trial. Connections advised the bitch would be retired. Well that didn't happen. https://www.grnz.co.nz/greyhounds/profiles.aspx?AnimalID=34572 Why hasn't the RIB charged the ""Connections" with a dishonest act?

Mr. Dore will have the information you seek. Whether he'll share any of it or not is another question. He seems to be GRNZ's contact person for the areas (so far) I've heard recent issues revolve around. Those issues are creating the cloud you're now trying to see thru. I've checked the GRNZ website, but no advisory (or reminders to all LP's) has been posted. This can sometimes be a precursor to what's ahead. Maybe they're waiting for the media to reach out to them for comment like they did with two people being charged in the Addington incident not so long ago (still yet to be heard). Funny things seem to start happening inside headquarters when the investigating reporters start ringing. Isn't this right Mr Dore?
-
Muzzle contact not a requirement. "Mar or Marring means the action of a Greyhound in voluntarily turning the head so as to make head or muzzle contact with another Greyhound."
-
Today the top greyhound stipe charged the #4 dog in this race for failing to pursue instead of marring. Expect the trainer in the next couple of days to get it overturned because of an injury that doesn't exist. There you have it. Corruption and/or collusion prediction before it happens.
-
Mr. Dore does not have the ability to muzzle me. I haven't been an LP for several years now, so I'm not regulated by the GRNZ rules, however he is. I'm able to say anything I'd like, provided I remain within the boundaries of crown law, which my posts remain well within.

Seems several industry participants are getting more work done towards getting the greyhound code shut down then Aaron and SAFE have ever done. Another serious welfare decision out today. https://racingintegrityboard.org.nz/decisions/non-raceday-inquiry-written-penalty-decision-dated-14-september-2022-howard-scott/ -
Edward Rennell to replace Glenda Hughes as CEO of GRNZ
Yankiwi replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Dog Chat
I can't say that as an organization, I'd considering hiring a CEO that I had taken to high court only 6 years prior. https://forms.justice.govt.nz/search/Documents/pdf/jdo/e2/alfresco/service/api/node/content/workspace/SpacesStore/a3d14859-82c8-4709-b87a-c639458a15d7/a3d14859-82c8-4709-b87a-c639458a15d7.pdf The old boys club is still alive to the detriment of the entire racing industry. -

The rule as I recall it is a dog can't race on consecutive days. Speaking of the kennel, have everyone spotted this one yet? https://racingintegrityboard.org.nz/decisions/non-raceday-inquiry-written-reserved-decision-dated-23-may-2022-john-thomas-mcinerney/

What's happening now is all a throw back to what Godber & Whiterod let everyone get away with for far too long. A new sheriff is now in town with the GRNZ rulebook in his hand. The rules are beginning to be enforced like they should have been all along. While what I'm seeing isn't a pretty picture, it is a necessary action that has been needed to be undertaken for many years. Maybe it's time the new sheriff & new top dog opened up the cold case books of the alleged live baiting from a few years back.

This secret is out of the bag, sort of... So why did GRNZ report it in their quarterly report to the Govt review yet keep it secret from the public & stakeholders? "GRNZ have appointed Dr Michelle Ledger who was originally appointed to lead the review of Hatrick Racetrack. She has also been assisting GRNZ with other animal welfare initiatives and has agreed to continue in this role as Manager Animal Welfare for GRNZ." https://www.grnz.co.nz/Files/Advisories/FINAL GRNZ Welfare Report Q1 2021.pdf

Ok Chief, I couldn't keep my word, back for another go one day prior to March. Well look who's no longer wanted at the ATC. Remember when he was on the GRNZ board and useless? Got a funny feeling he'll be back, as the chair this time. https://harnesslink.com/new-zealand/shock-reshuffle-at-helm-of-auckland-trotting-club/

You could consider ringing GRNZ headquarters to find out, but I suggest if they wanted you to know the info would have been released on their website. Anyways, Outgoing welfare manager. New title listed in On Track magazine (less responsibility, less money? They need money to pay for Liz and the new Welfare Manager, right?) And the person I've been led to believe who will be (eventually) named as the GRNZ Welfare Manager. South African native? NSW based Dr Michelle Ledger, currently already sucking in industry funds for the Hatrick review/renovation. https://www.grnz.co.nz/News/2761/Dr-Michelle-Ledger-reviewing-Hatrick-Raceway So why is GRNZ keeping it secret? Where is the money coming from to to pay for the two new staff? Tracks can't fill cards with 12 races & headquarters needs two new staff? Wake up people.....
