    Not admiring some outfit throwing other peoples $$ at high priced well bred yearlings and seeing the dart hit bullseye a few times is not being a "Tall Poppy" , thats just an easy way to explain away the rationale of it all.

    MB won a G1 & a G2 in Aus. her only wins over there from memory, Avantage I think a G3 in Sydney was it,but both several NZ blacktype races that you like to talk up as being as strong as their Oz equivalents. Imperatriz well take my hat off to her an outright champion mare!

    Remarkably the 3 best were all Aussie breds Imperatriz, MB & Avantage. Of those only Imperatriz can truly be taken seriously.

    Of course he does, he brings them to the weakest market to race well bred early maturing stock in, I look forward to seeing how they go in Aus with the big purchases, no where to hide there and they have spent some $$ so we be expecting a Blue Diamond or Slipper winner soon surely CS???

    Absolutely right! Load of absolute bullocks best buyer in the world, buys NZ stock by our best sires and early maturing Aussie breds that dominate the local product , hardly need to be the best buyer in the world to do that. This year (NZB) top 3 purchases for the stable Snitzel, IAV & a Zoustar ... CS will call them geniuses !

    The circus has got itself in a great position to close all of these venues , the other tracks are easily coping the extra race days and other events. What would be funny here is if NZTR miss out on the dosh for these venues , based around some government policy. Given the environment we are in now its very possible to happen. Then they look even more stupid than they have before, hard to believe I know.

    I had the pleasure, have been going to this race meeting for years , numbers pretty similar to the last 5 years, not a lot there particularly in certain places & the Oaks has lost a lot of its character imo in recent years , a great card but the club are lacking somewhere in delivering it.

    This is so laughable, I can still remember the first race day at Cambridge AWT & Rodley declaring it a game changer on racing propaganda channel. 99% of the posters on this site called it ... white elephant on steroids!

    They have made this a laughable joke , like they do most things. It will be embarrassing for any of those in the City category clubs to win an award.

    It could happen to every other racemeeting in the country and no one would call them out. I've said it over and over again , the greed from the top has stopped any real development and progress in the sport. We should be utlising every single racecourse available in this country with the exception of the AWT white elephants !

    They have no respect for the Grassroots , that should have become very apparent by now in all 3 codes.

    It's a clown show & the red nose & floppy shoes started off with the inept Saundry & so it continues.

    Looks to be a special special filly, I thought she might have been beat 800m out but that was just way too easy. Someone tell the owners they just won the NZ Derby and its OK to show a bit of emotion , afterall they paid $600k for her get a bit feral after a win like that , another reason I love seeing the battlers win they enjoy it more!

    No tracks should be closed , these fools have shown a pattern of utter ignorance and naivety for a number of years. You couldn't trust them to close a goat track!
