  1. As someone said they are eventually going to get it right, whether it sinks the industry in the process of doing it or not.
  2. No need they are 100% confident like they were last time.
  3. To a degree that is true, but if you strip it all back you'll eventually notice all of NZracing is being run to suit the Waikato set.
  4. Add to all of this the announced changes in the pattern and the future is looking very poor indeed for nz racing.
  5. Very nice track on the TV as well.
  6. Sounds like most racing clubs in NZ though.
  7. Exactly , I struggle to understand how 90% wanted change.
  8. So basically they want to put it sleep quietly and as sympathetically as possible. 90% of respondents for change , be interesting to see the context behind such comments.
  9. I think happening across the board, I'm not getting any BB either.
  10. One would think NZTR would come to the party to assist ... oh no wait a minute that's is only if it is the other Auckland Club.
  11. Surely the fact that a lot of jumping races are in the early part of the programme has an impact on wagering $ for those events?
  12. Sad news has done a decent job at stud.
  13. Well I think the opposite , I struggle to wager on events when a stable has 3 or more runners in it, particularly when that stable has the favourite and smaller fields. It's probably why I am such a poor punter and dependent on CS Ruakaka tips !
  14. I agree that jumps racing has done itself no favours, but there are many reciprocal reasons to keep it going in some format as has been pointed out in the article. Also if we are talking purely from a punting profit perspective that eliminates a lot of the racing in the local industry. I think one of the problems with the wagering side is its very much dominated by a couple of stables and thus makes it difficult to punt on.
  15. I think he is more referencing the fact that they will take any of the arguments into account than someone reading all the submissions, many will have experienced their lack of listening skills in the past. This time could be different with a few heavy hitters getting involved and they won't be keen to square up with them , so there is every chance there will be a back down on the cards.
  16. Some interesting points made for mine. particualrly the submission from Mary Burgess.
  17. I fully support betting with the TAB also , with a better website. The last one was even better , old people like me its a mess to use. How am I supposed to get my CS Ruakaka Tips on that website?
  18. But could we sustain having to watch more racing from Ruakaka , that is the eternal question.
  19. Fillies race has to be race of the day, plenty of interest there.
  20. Even the noms at CS home of Racing - Ruakaka have come together quite nicely.
  21. Yes it does, but the main race also looks particularly interesting if they start noms.
  22. That's probably not fair , there are plenty racing types around lazy enough to woo the piss up crowd instead of investing in the product.
  23. It happened when the industry starting get full on non racing personnel types, they took the easy road out and when the booze up way.
  24. How is the capture going? these piss up's and shenanigans have been going on for a few years now and all they seem to be doing is going back for another piss up and shenanigans.
