    Whats wrong with the staff that work the same long hours, in smaller stables with poorer quality bloodstock and opportunities than these stables have getting given an opportunity to be recognised for their significant contribution to the industry? These awards are the same all the time , same 5 studs, same 5 stables , same 5 racing clubs they never change, unfortunately your TA fan boy attitude blinds you to the rest of the industry.

    It also isn't their fault that you can't see beyond the delusion and propaganda of the industry either. Joke awards , given out to the club and certified and approved by CS.

    I'm sure they'll be much more deserving, but have they any chance against the next crop of TA & big Waikato stable staff?

    Given the jumping ranks have never been weaker , I'm not sure its worth make a song and dance over.

    Exactly why these awards are a joke, recognising a few lucky kids who are working with the creme of NZ bloodstock , just more industry brown nosing total farce!

    An attempt to get their AWT numbers up, probably some KPI or bonus attached to hitting starter numbers on AWT, wouldn't put that past them.

    The administration have a set period of time in the sport, they achieve a couple of things then sit on their laurels until they see the heat around the corner. This administration are going to applaud themselves for the Entain deal & throw in a bit of horse welfare for good measure.

    Totally understand that side of things, just is the case with the slot race. . I just see little benefit for the wider industry, looking forward to hearing from Tiger how this all helps though.

    What is the point in the prizemoney increases, the industry is in a state of shambles and still they think throwing $$ at the top end races will fix it. A media person (albeit hired by NZB) for a slot race must be one of the most stupid things I've seen in NZ racing in years, to top it off hardly a racing person .

    Let's not kid ourselves Flat Rider situation is heading the same way. Faster than many realize, especially once many of the old guard hang up their boots .

    Trentham has become Whanganui in the winter, utterly hopeless. NZ racing is an utter shambles and cannot last beyond the next few years. You would have some hope if it wasn't being run by a circus.
