Yep also great to see a guy who knows his stuff and understands the punter as he is one. It's a bit like the what we need at the industry level. -
The tracks are a sideshow to the real problem, the real problem is the inability of NZTR and the board to make effective decisions that benefit the industry instead of decisions that just convenience a few. The Venue Plan should burnt and a complete rethink should be taking place, I've said this for many years they are in no position to run around telling venues they don't have a place in the industry. The people doing so are the real dangers to the industry. They have chosen this path that will slowly but surely destroy the industry, but the industry shouldn't be letting them get away with it.

Like you TAB4eva they are in no position to gloat and it appears they are taking that approach also . Everyone wants to see if work for the sake of racing and owners , but don't make it out to be some significant achievement that a club who has had millions spent on it can hold a race meeting from start to finish! The CEO told us doesn't care what anyone thinks any way if its not positive towards them, they don't matter were his words.

No, I think its an example of using your initiative . Effectively giving owners in their horses a chance of being involved in that race.

Why would you want to know and why would it be considered relevant? So you can mock him? I bet he has more skin in the game than you .

Can someone help me understand why a racing club would want to have a slot for this race , apart from the obvious winning $$$$s? Hiring a Form Analyst to come up with the obvious seems a bit extreme?

I'm sure there are several examples of this , but have a look at the KM 2yo fields and they are littered with waste. I don't see a problem in them running as 2yos & its been proven to be a fairly positive thing for most of them, what I take issue with is the focus on getting them to these 2yo races at all costs when a Trial or a race and some time in the paddock would be much more beneficial for the animal and a prolonged career. -

I agree with the ban , it's a horrible look for the industry and the fact many don't train on tells you plenty about 2yo racing , just as 2 out with wind ops does. Quick bucks high attrition for fabricated owners ! -

Well remembered for his infamous battles with the dwarf on Racechat. I think he was made out to be a bit odd , I'd tend to regard his research as noteworthy particularly in this case. Now stands a son of Snitzel at stud if I'm not wrong.

Can't work out why they don't endear themselves to most in the industry, they steal other clubs races, manipulate the calendar for their own benefit, have shafted jumps racing, have been gifted absolutely everything from the industry and there looks like there is even more on the way, the CEO looks like he is about to cry Chris Waller tears every time he is interviewed. If it doesn't work this week heads should roll, but in the style of NZ racing that won't happen...well it won't happen till you hit the back pockets of the non existent cartel.
