  1. What are you inferring here @Chief Stipe?
  2. Many a lot cheaper than these ones . Damask Rose has a decent race in Aus written all over it. Doesn't get a mention? Hostility is that going to Aus on that last run ? Might win a mile +
  3. That's the spirit @Chief Stipe practice what you preach!
  4. Those ones you're talking about are just drinking & partying at the races , where are the game changers? Where are these talented young trainers you speak of who aren't attached to the cloth of someone already established in the industry? I have no gold left I'm afraid, well I can possibly put the odd gold coin on one of your many runners, but you'll have to let me know at least a week in advance.
  5. Surely yours arent for sale @Chief Stipe ? Not a chap as positive as you are about the industry, surely not?
  6. Not alot of pushing going on @hesi, not in this industry. I think they just wait for you to fall into the grave instead. Where are all these bright young things that are entering the industry hanging out? All the meetings I attend seem to be full of crusty old men like me.
  7. Still plenty of resentment out there @Chief Stipe and rightly so , not everyone as positive as you and I are about the industry! How many of yours raced and trailled this week @Chief Stipe? Or have they all gone straight to Aus to chase those riches over there?
  8. You can't blame anyone for being cynical in this industry!
  9. Quintessa run was amazing the run of the weekend, not enough credit given to the horse imo. Trainer also quietly tipped her out despite her draw also.
  10. Never a good sign , can only hope she returns to her best.
  11. Experts in racing are fantastic ! Always back their tips.
  12. So now TA are spending huge sums on duds? TA have a $440k $A Snitzel filly lining up in a 18.5k mdn at Phar Lap Raceway on Sunday, only someone as Tangerine delusional as you @Chief Stipe would call it a level playing field. Does the filly need to prove herself in the SI before she can go to Aus?
  13. Best of luck to Bernie and his mates indeed! Its an interesting race, not sure I'd be wanting $4 on the fav there are some handy horses in the race, the aforementioned being one. Old brigade like Rothfire and Skybird are no slouches either. Midwest for value for me.
  14. It has to be strongest version in some time ,a very interesting race . I'll stick with Steezy but how Heavy will it be?
  15. Strongest that race has been for a while.
  16. I like the look of the Roger James trained Steezy, will follow with interest. Trial behind Avantaggia was fairly decent.
  17. I'm too old for that business you get up to on a lazy boy @Chief Stipe
  18. What makes you think I can afford a lazy boy @Chief Stipe?
  19. To go in stable area.
