    A fellow with your lack of club parochialism, racing acumen , ownership deeds and undoubtable knowledge should dive into a committee role at a racing club @Chief Stipe perhaps a small country club could benefit from your input , probably turn things around in a couple of years or less with you on the local committee . The industry definitely needs more people like yourself to get involved!

    The volunteer based clubs weren't able to do it for various reasons - loss of race days by governing body - threat of sale of land and legal action - lack of support (see above also) The governing body did/does all it can to make life difficult for these smaller clubs , some of it out of incompetence, but most out of spite & club nepotism. What industry has its governing body take away successful race days from clubs that lift the local profile of the sport,support racing infrastructure & provide a desired product, you'll probably find only racing is that silly.

    How does a TAB sign do alm that? I know you're probably still hungover from hanging out with all those 20 somethings taking racing into a new era , but even by your standards you're being delusional.

    Shows how many race meetings you go to @Chief Stipe , all the carnivals are the same. Outside of that not so much. Surely with the amount of stock you have in work you're seeing that?

    Unfortunately when it comes to the governing body we need more nasty and abusive. @Chief Stipe is a Sideline Sam so he thinks everything is peachy, his 10+ horses with NZ leading stable give him a realistic view of the industry.

    Another property expert , governance expert "yawn' both with none or very little interest in racing . The NZTR clown show continues. At least it isn't as bad as the CPD circus now that is just plain demented, every CEO the organisation gets concentrates on some pet project that diverts attention away from the real issues in the sport. Don't worry though we are apparently leading the world in horse welfare .. LMAO!

    Probably appears the case with a hip young disco dancing crooner like yourself @Chief Stipe ! The Grand Tour is doing its thing , be good to see all these young ones joining racing clubs, syndicates, breeding horses and punting until their hearts content in the future , perhaps the sport has a future after all?

    Too tired and a wee bit burnt to hit the Grand tour this time. I thought the racing was great yesterday and picked a couple of winners.

    Patience is a necessity in all forms of the sport. Especially Administration imagine having to deal with NZTR , trainers & having to coach people like @Chief Stipe through the committee process.
