  1. Something about too long away from family and the travel back to and from the North I think mark.. ...you have to hand it to him how well he handles all codes imho
  2. Nothing wrong with introducing topical moments in the world THOROUGHBRED I wouldn't have thought Huey ...many add to these posts..feel free to contribute
  3. What...that Jason from the punters club gave those Hound club members the bash and was warned off ALL race courses? Its totally true... Its remarkable you lot have the bare faced cheek to come over here...swear like troopers..as in muddygrass's post..throw your weight around willy nilly... ...then scuttle back to your life of paradise hole...with everyone agreeing with each other... ..if I was the Cheif I would have banned you long ago...but it's the land of FREE SPEECH here ..now get back into your hole
  4. Very good idea and I think that's been tossed around here before... ...besides there's an extremely wide variance in experience in these races...yet no weight allowances for that... ...banning the whip would even things up considerably and remove the continual whip violations in these races
  5. No you've got me wrong... ....while NZTR has a share in the ' private company' that is the RIU... ..when it comes to suggesting things like introducing 'change of tactics' notes... ..the RIU flately refused...similar to providing pen readings.. ..again flatly refused... Send INTEGRITY back to the control of the Thoroughbred body..just like Aus.
  6. Big ups to Jase Teaz today in confirming that PUDDLE ALLEY is not only a road..but a Steeple Course as well "and yes Thomass..this is called Puddle Alley" Sad Jase is calling it a day down that way...an excellent multi talented cross code caller who knows far more than moi
  7. I think you'll find Vanessa is a member of the Female Alliance for the Advancement of Reactive Tarts...FAART... ..whose explosive expose ehs have shaken the establishment of plaid wearers to the very core...and good on her
  8. Don't worry about them ATA.... Those types are attracting fleas...and should be judged by the company they keep... ...Im frankly surprised that Pete Jenkins...esteemed employee of Arrowfield and writer of your racing name post.. ...would either have the time or inclination to associate himself with such fleas... Both WARNED OFF ALL RACECOURSES...no wonder he wanted to start a Punters club...he couldn't get on course to bet "An alleged assault at the Otago Greyhound Racing Club meeting at Forbury Park on Friday is under investigation by the police. Licensed trainer Matthew McCook and former licence holder, Jason McCook are alleged to have assaulted officials of the club. ``It is a reasonably serious case of assault and the police are investigating," Mike Godber, the operations manager of the Racing Integrity Unit, said. He said the incident had been covered on video. John Carlyle, the manager of the OGRC, said he had been involved, along with the president, John Guthrie in the incident outside the club rooms. ``I can't talk about it because of the police investigation," he said."
  9. Alongside that you could rightly insert ARROGANT...and TOTAL lack of TRANSPARENCY Get this from RIU supremo INTEGRITY head Godber... "The monte race at the Harness the other night had so many breakers I've sent an email off telling them to go away and get it sorted before having another tote race" Earily "oh ok Mike...how many Monte tote races have they had now Mike" Mikey "oh ummmmmm ahhhhhh arrrrrh...Im not sure" FFS... This type of going off half cocked behaviour is totally predictable from these AMATUERS though... ARROGANT It ties in with Mikes now well documented recent doozy INTEGRITY NU ZILAND Style..."Punters need to factor in horses getting flyers at Flag starts...besides it's a long race" ...and their TOTAL lack of TRANSPARENCY in NZ's Premier race THE DERBY...where the Barrier Blanket was left off the slow out runner up...slotted away in a supplementary report...nearly unseen The AUCKLAND RACING CLUB...the Starters employers...didn't see it either... ...with CEO WILCOX nearly self combusting after hearing about it...from me ...and the recent LIES told in the moving Barrier incident at Te Rapa..where horses were having to do the sideways shuffle in the barrier as the tractor rolled down the drain... RIU Report "the Tractor Brake mechanically malfunctioned" NO IT F IN DIDNT. ....the Barrier Boys forgot to pull the brake on!! Maybe they have too much on their plates handling 3 codes?? Let's forgive them then as they're only human..and people make one or two mistakes?? Yea na...let's get RID of this AMATUER mob...give INTEGRITY back to the control of THOROUBRED RACING...where it belongs... ...not some quasi body who pretend to have Thoroughbred interests at their hearts...and IGNORANTLY...ARROGANTLY...without TRANSPARENCY Go off HALF COCKED Good Ridence
  10. If you got caught using 'Girly' here you'd probably get a bunch of 5's...and rightly so... Britain seems different though...Females have had to battle for recognition for years over there...thankfully that battle's gradually turning... Gallop France even had to grant 'girlys' extra allowances to increase opportunities...that worked so well they're gradually reducing the weight relief ...not so in the Punters minds though by the looks... "Punters who exclusively backed female jump jockeys would have fared better in four of the last five years than those supporting only male riders. That is the conclusion of Racing Post data, which supports the result of a study conducted by the University of Liverpool which suggests female jump jockeys are underestimated by punters. In terms of return on investment, Racing Post figures show that over the last five jump seasons female riders outperformed male jockeys in all but the 2016/17 campaign. A University of Liverpool statistical analysis of over 1.6 million rides covering an 18-year period indicated that a jumps horse ridden by a female jockey at odds of 9-1 has the same chance of winning as a male-ridden horse at 8-1. The findings are particularly noteworthy in the context of the 2019 Cheltenham Festival, when 14.3 per cent of wins came from female riders – two for Rachael Blackmore and one apiece for Bryony Frost and Lizzie Kelly – despite receiving only 9.2 per cent of the total number of rides available. Vanessa Cashmore, author of the University of Liverpool research, said: "This analysis seems to suggest there is a significant difference between the material performance of female jump jockeys and the public perception of their capability. "The betting public consistently underestimate these jockeys. This could be an indicator of negative public opinion about the ability of female riders, but also ensures there is value to be found in backing horses ridden by female jockeys in jump races. "I hope this research can move us another step closer to altering attitudes towards female jockeys and more importantly, driving behavioural change." Analysis found that when riding a horse who starts at even money, for example, a female jockey can be expected to win the race 52 per cent of the time." RACING POST
  11. Don't forget the MEMO from RIU's Gobbder for today... If you're punting the Steeples there at Wingas.... ...you have to factor in the chance of a neddy getting a flying start if it's a Flag Start...or maybe it's not today?? ...and anyway..it's a way long race and they can catch up... ...even though the one horse who got the flyer last start...WON So roll up roll up..this is GAMBLING NZ style...or RIU Style The GAMBLE you take where there's no INTEGRITY involved... Thanks for the reminder memo Mike Gobbder Oh PS...the two Chasers who fell on the flat there last start... It was RIDER ERROR...ok?? Absolutely nothing to do with the f'ed up Chase course labelled PUDDLE ALLEY by the commentator...which is what the road is named over there... Now GAMBLE away you losers
  12. And who knew NZ were involved?
  13. Cmon Fred...it's about the PUNT... Its what spins the wheels and makes the Industry viable.. They do it in old Blighty...after 3 races you get a Handicap rating..and after 4 runs they're eligible to race... ...we could make it 5... ..there's sfa betting in maiden races when you have a Stakesplaced neddy running at level weights to a 20 start maiden... ...it would create far more interest ...and while we're at it...create a new class for 1 win horses...there's plenty in the lower classes to make it happen.. ...make it purely on Saturday meetings...30 start 3 win horses have unfair ring craft agin a 1 win 3 starter for example...
  14. Speak up of forever hold your piece fweddie... ...is spinach the latest go fast in Muttamutta...in a blender the down the hatch... ..or i.v on race morning?? no wonder the veins on some of these neddys in Mutts are sticking out like dogs things...
  15. So yet another whip violation in an Amatuer riders race yesterday...the winner Bren Harrison ...the runner up Luke Myers was very lucky he got held up... ..this bloke rides like a boy possessed...if he hadn't have been held up...he too would have been on yet another whip violation ...once clear he went totally nuts and thrashed the living daylights out of his mount.. ...simply awful stuff
  16. First start tomorrow!! https://mobile.twitter.com/Racing/status/1144084038937800704
  17. Those are the new rules in France I think Freda... So PARKES 33...or was it 35...to win by a head... Dettori on the World stage....7 max...ask yourself how out of touch we are... Over the course of the five days of Royal Ascot there were 11 bans dished out for misuse of the whip. Ten of those were for exceeding the permitted limit of seven strikes, while one other was for using it in the incorrect place. That three of those excessive use bans came on winners (Afaak, Biometric and Thanks Be) led to a reopening of the debate as to whether the punishments for whip offences are a sufficient deterrent against breaking them.
  18. Oh yes...didn't Davo Ellis take him to the cleaners that day? Its what's missing here for sure...the BGP's ..and odd Girl...would love them... Betting is what makes this Industry tick obviously...with the suits ignoring that fact... ...they clearly know sfa... Handicaps are where it's at...and why they need to reintroduce MAIDEN HANDICAPS for example... ..for betting purposes If only it were LA MER at 200/1
  19. You'll note how the Chuff has changed the header...as he did moi's... ..I kind of like my name in lights!
  20. As predicted here....the Victorian bearded one Handicapper doyen Carpenter....has had a think... ...and given them a kilo more...oh and "we reserve the right to give them more than that as well" Yep...that's what handicapping is... https://mobile.twitter.com/Racing/status/1143813652413341697
  21. Don't know Freddie...you'd have to give Andy Greirson a tingle... ...have you cornered the market for a potential go fast in Mutts? Suffice to say the reason Popeye eats Spinach rather than silver beet is pretty obvious when you look at his forearms....and Olive Oil may testify to that....so I'd be planting that... ...or have you been watching too much CNN? What you should also ask Andy when you ring... "Andy old sausage...how much out of competition testing is done on NZ Thoroughbred Racing..considering first world jurisdictions have a 10/20% range for said testing" ...and then we can all get some sleep
  22. And without Australian Punters it'd be really dire.... Many patho Punters over there...why else would anyone bet in NZ without Australian quality punting info...change of tactics etc. ...owners like Brian Collins unable to get a simple 200ew on his neddy here.. At least Oz have minimum bet rules Whats your opinion on on course bookies here Fred.. any form of competition...
  23. Cmon gays...I knew yous were butter than this...it's wunter butt that's know eggscuse for been duckwards... Dak Pursden..ok...even a munted noes it
  24. Talk about useless info from Rotsman today How Heavy 11...bottomless, close to H 10...loose or holding... ...rails H11...or coming down the outside on a S9?? NZTR promised us they'd notified the Club Managers to enable a standard comparison In reality they all ran back to their ferrel holes and did their own thing...entirely predictable... Absolutely useless
  25. What if you got double back...on the back of Owners bad investments and choices then Fred... ...wouldn't you enjoy a good old tete eh tete down by the rails with a bookie... ...than being restricted by a monopoly TAB without genuine competition?
