Hi Karrots, welcome back.🤩 I have been enjoying Combo of Olympics & Queensland Winter Carnival at Albion Park.(including following Gammalites Musings) Yes,after The Wigg Team was late scratched by Order Of Stewards a couple of weeks back,She was told Her Trainers License would be suspended pending an Inquiry. Therefore her Racing Team were transferred elsewhere immediately. However, with initial test results not showing any irregularities,Her Trainers License is still valid. Steven Reid/Simon McMullen look like they have kept the promising maiden.

Yes Enteebee.I wouldn't go spending tonight's Prize Money from Gettn Wiggy Withit just yet!
-
I have been told,NOT RUMOUR,that the tests have revealed only negative results. What did they expect to find in a tumeric based health boost mixture! What IS RUMOUR,the samples taken may be sent further afield,to Hong Kong Lab,in an attempt to reveal anything that Local Lab did not find! I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a Stuff Harness Retraction!

Yes Gamms,as you can deduce,I was there each night in 1975 yelling myself hoarse for Young Quinn.(and still have the oncourse Racebooks in storage) There was a Tour Group from Aussies standing by my regular spot,so it was a matter of who could yell support the loudest! Ironic you mention the Messenger Winner of 1978 Locarno,as the runnerup was GERRY JUNIOR,trained & driven by CHARLIE HUNTER.🤩

Wow,certainly a Great Read. As a young teenager becoming hooked on the trots at Alex Park early 1970's,my first horse idol was Young Quinn, and Charlie Hunter/John Langdon my favourite Trainer/Driver. (I probably passed Gammalite many times amongst the patrons and never realised)😄 I was emotional when Young Quinn was paraded to the crowd on the eve of his departure to America, with the Manfred Mann Classic "Mighty Quinn" blaring through the course speakers. Charlie Hunter has certainly had a proud, rarely matched involvement in This Sport.

Never saw the race myself. See from Stipes Report that an Enquiry has been opened & adjourned into the actions of handler after dogs were caught. Was Handler the trainer Raewyn McPhee!!
-
Taken from Stipes Report. Pre-Race Trials: A dog (L.Cole) faltered free of interference & fractured a hock. Stewards/Board Member Gary Fredrickson/GRNZ Track Curator Nigel Rugg inspected the area of concern, which was shifty & inconsistent. Remedial action unable to be carried out in timely fashion,so meeting abandoned.

Gamms, following your posts here,I looked at Menangle Fields on Tues. Jack Trainor had x2 Runners & Jason Grimson x1. Trainor set the ball rolling with Rocket Boy,fresh off the plane from Auckland 11 days earlier. NZ Record was 11 starts/1 win for Mark Jones,& 1 start 9th for Jeremy Young earlier in June. At Menangle, started $1.22 Fav &** WON by 11.3m,mile rate 1.53.3 Next Race for Jason Grimson was I Am Serengeti (ex Purdon/Rasmussen) started $2 Fav & **WON by 12.2m,mile rate 1.51.6 The only loser on the float home was Trainor's Our Madiba/ $9.50 longshot that ran 4th. Looks like only two doses of "The Tonic " was used this day!

Being a rising 4yo Bitch,I would not be surprised that she has been retired!

My final thread - 2 days to go - sharing fun experiences had on here

I have recently enquired of a favourite poster Karrots/Jones about her concerns of posting here after July 1,following new proposed HRNZ Social Media Policy. With upwards of 1100 posts since joining BOAY,I have yet to read anything that HRNZ Police could find even remotely offensive,or in contradiction of Their Rules. And even if any future post finds offense with them, how does your identity get revealed (unless they have connections with CCP)! Sorry Karrots/Jones,my attempt at sending you one more smile/fun laugh.☺️ -
Gamms,so now The Formidable Grimson Team only faces 2 rivals tonight!!! Best wishes to Unhinged/Spellbound.They will certainly need a top drive to triumph. I was unaware until reading here about Grimson/Trainor Team @ Retention Centre. Earlier this year I found daily items in my news feed from www.peterprofit.com.(these have since stopped, only available by subscription) He was totally on to the remarkable results/improvements in horses being transferred into this stable. Often aged horses with hitherto ordinary career records, suddenly running personal best mile rates by several seconds. Like you mention,Extraordinary!!!

Yep,as long as you keep all The Neo Nazi's & White Supremacists in Christchurch & Southwards. Plus, you can keep all the motorcycle gang members with their knives in Blenheim.

Chief,my opinion, calling this episode a Debacle is a poor choice of word. Webster Dictionary defines debacle as 'a great disaster',which this certainly isn't. I believe Tony Music ranks as the Leading Club Administrator within The Greyhound Code. Yes,this was an error that was avoidable, but at the end of the day was down to Human Error. In approx 20 years in the role,Head Stipe Rick Quirk stated Mr Music has a clear record under The Negligence Rule. To me,the penalty was totally fair.

It's a clash North Island v South Island but not in NZ

Ray Green v Team McCarthy : Honours Shared 1-1 Tommy Lincoln: found the lead easily, soft second quarter, poured on the pace to put victory beyond doubt before turn. Ranger Bomb settled back, only sprinted final 300 to easily run into 2nd. Ilikemebettor turned the tables for Team McCarthy with a comprehensive win from go to whoa. The Rocknroll King a saloon passage in trail throughout 2nd. American Dealer 3 back on outer, shortlived sprint,a battling 4th. -
Hey Gamms, you piqued my interest enough to tune into this race. I note you didn't press ahead with a claim,as no runners went home to a new stable! Sabarge showed good early speed to lead, then attacked relentlessly by the parked runner,so not surprised he was headed and passed early in run home, eventually clinging on for 3rd in 1.53.6 winners m/r. What I found surprising was that the winner was the horse doing it tough parked throughout.Had finished behind Sabarge in recent runs, and could have been claimed for $7,000.🤑

Jones/Karrot. I am puzzled about your apprehension of 'being gagged',and posting here after the proposed Code Of Conduct & Social Media Policy Regulations HRNZ,come into effect from 1 July! Chief Stipe has stated more than once,it will take a Court Order to attempt to identify any poster of BOAY. A few years back, when a Rival Code Stipes/Officials threatened to charge My Trainer over comments made on Channel X,he refused to admit being the author of offending post. Whilst the identity of his non de plume was well known,he argued his partner (also an LP) had access to his laptop,as did visiting family members (non LP's). As such, there was no proof that he was responsible for a particular post, and no charges resulted.

Brodie*yes, the race is penalty free for the winner. Jonesy*final field now numbers 9 starters. I seem to recall last month when Cambridge last carded a Junior Drivers Race with 10 starters, there were 2 scratchings, with at least one being due to no driver available!
-
Could this young South Island gal you refer to be Cullen Racing Stable Rep Olivia Thornley!!
-
Gamms:I note that Spirit Of St Louis is another successful winner Flying The Banner for Summit Bloodstock. In watching their interview with Unhinged earlier today,I also watched an interview with West Aust Legend Garry Hall Snr.He stated that in buying 10 racehorses per year from NZ,he expected 2 to be extra good (if not as good as The Mighty Quinn): 4 to pay their way: and 2 to be losers.

Jonesy,I think a factor to consider on the demand for Kiwi Standardbreds to Markets in USA & Australia is the cost of freight. Back when Brian Meale,Charlie Hunter & others were sending planeloads of horses Stateside during the 1970's & thereafter, they formed a significent percentage of total exports.Plus others took the more economical sea route! These days, you can usually count on one hand the number exported to the USA.
-
Gee Gamms: that was certainly astute spotting. You certainly would have had some fun racing Sam Is Perfection this year,if only you had written that cheque! I wouldn't have let my lack of gear deter me.Plan B would be getting the talented Brittany Graham to train & drive.🤭
-
Gamms,I see the main race at Albion Park tomorrow night is 'a humdrum' $25k listed race, only 7 starters. But The Quality: King Of Swing :current Miracle Mile Titleholder Spankem:past Miracle Mile Winner Turn It Up:past Auckland Cup Winner No doubt Team McCarthy set to plunder some easy pickings with King Of Swing (drawn the ace)🤑

Clarkie looks like You popped the cork (or do you use twist tops) on another bottle each time Craig Rendle Won a couple of races.😜
