  1. Yep,as long as you keep all The Neo Nazi's & White Supremacists in Christchurch & Southwards. Plus, you can keep all the motorcycle gang members with their knives in Blenheim.
  2. Chief,my opinion, calling this episode a Debacle is a poor choice of word. Webster Dictionary defines debacle as 'a great disaster',which this certainly isn't. I believe Tony Music ranks as the Leading Club Administrator within The Greyhound Code. Yes,this was an error that was avoidable, but at the end of the day was down to Human Error. In approx 20 years in the role,Head Stipe Rick Quirk stated Mr Music has a clear record under The Negligence Rule. To me,the penalty was totally fair.
  3. Ray Green v Team McCarthy : Honours Shared 1-1 Tommy Lincoln: found the lead easily, soft second quarter, poured on the pace to put victory beyond doubt before turn. Ranger Bomb settled back, only sprinted final 300 to easily run into 2nd. Ilikemebettor turned the tables for Team McCarthy with a comprehensive win from go to whoa. The Rocknroll King a saloon passage in trail throughout 2nd. American Dealer 3 back on outer, shortlived sprint,a battling 4th.
  4. Hey Gamms, you piqued my interest enough to tune into this race. I note you didn't press ahead with a claim,as no runners went home to a new stable! Sabarge showed good early speed to lead, then attacked relentlessly by the parked runner,so not surprised he was headed and passed early in run home, eventually clinging on for 3rd in 1.53.6 winners m/r. What I found surprising was that the winner was the horse doing it tough parked throughout.Had finished behind Sabarge in recent runs, and could have been claimed for $7,000.🤑
  5. Jones/Karrot. I am puzzled about your apprehension of 'being gagged',and posting here after the proposed Code Of Conduct & Social Media Policy Regulations HRNZ,come into effect from 1 July! Chief Stipe has stated more than once,it will take a Court Order to attempt to identify any poster of BOAY. A few years back, when a Rival Code Stipes/Officials threatened to charge My Trainer over comments made on Channel X,he refused to admit being the author of offending post. Whilst the identity of his non de plume was well known,he argued his partner (also an LP) had access to his laptop,as did visiting family members (non LP's). As such, there was no proof that he was responsible for a particular post, and no charges resulted.
  6. Brodie*yes, the race is penalty free for the winner. Jonesy*final field now numbers 9 starters. I seem to recall last month when Cambridge last carded a Junior Drivers Race with 10 starters, there were 2 scratchings, with at least one being due to no driver available!
  7. Could this young South Island gal you refer to be Cullen Racing Stable Rep Olivia Thornley!!
  8. Gamms:I note that Spirit Of St Louis is another successful winner Flying The Banner for Summit Bloodstock. In watching their interview with Unhinged earlier today,I also watched an interview with West Aust Legend Garry Hall Snr.He stated that in buying 10 racehorses per year from NZ,he expected 2 to be extra good (if not as good as The Mighty Quinn): 4 to pay their way: and 2 to be losers.
  9. Jonesy,I think a factor to consider on the demand for Kiwi Standardbreds to Markets in USA & Australia is the cost of freight. Back when Brian Meale,Charlie Hunter & others were sending planeloads of horses Stateside during the 1970's & thereafter, they formed a significent percentage of total exports.Plus others took the more economical sea route! These days, you can usually count on one hand the number exported to the USA.
  10. Gee Gamms: that was certainly astute spotting. You certainly would have had some fun racing Sam Is Perfection this year,if only you had written that cheque! I wouldn't have let my lack of gear deter me.Plan B would be getting the talented Brittany Graham to train & drive.🤭
  11. Gamms,I see the main race at Albion Park tomorrow night is 'a humdrum' $25k listed race, only 7 starters. But The Quality: King Of Swing :current Miracle Mile Titleholder Spankem:past Miracle Mile Winner Turn It Up:past Auckland Cup Winner No doubt Team McCarthy set to plunder some easy pickings with King Of Swing (drawn the ace)🤑
  12. Clarkie looks like You popped the cork (or do you use twist tops) on another bottle each time Craig Rendle Won a couple of races.😜
  13. Gamms, unhinged is The Alta-Ego of Nigel Armstrong,a South Island Trotting Enthusiast. Checkout His Facebook Page "Harness Racing Unhinged" Mantra says "we aim to bring you the human side of Harness Racing with humorous interviews of industry participants". There are dozens of recent vids to view.I just enjoyed watching interview with Jamie Dunberger-Smith of Summit Bloodstock, across from Aussie to attend The Jewels on a working holiday. They have clocked up almost 200 Wins in 18 months. Nigel Armstrong also gets many locals involved in Ownership via His Westview Syndicates. A recent success story lies in 4yo Mare Spellbound, raced here from Robert Dunn Stable 5wins/29 starts $128k. Crossed Tasman March 2021,joined Nathan Purdon Team. Races at Melton April/May resulted 1st.1st.1st.2nd & A$41k.🤑
  14. Jonesy, partially correct. Zev Meredith began his Junior Career working for Brent Mangos, and drove his first winner Havehorsewilltravel at Cambridge Oct 2019,on his First Raceday. This was to be the only winner for his boss, and they parted company in 2020, Derek Balle became his new mentor, and this team has become much more successful, though I am unsure of the current status.
  15. Seems 2012 3rd Placed Jack Trainor has followed Brodie's advice, Trained 1 x Winner and Drove 2 x Winners tonight at Penrith. Currently 9th on Australian Drivers National Premiership with 82 Wins/Stakemoney A$1.03million. (one win behind Danielle Hill, who has been mentioned earlier in this thread) Combines this with Training/resulting in 23 Wins this season.
  16. Worthwhile Stake Money up for grabs,$40k. So no surprise Southerners keen to venture across The Cook Strait and compete.🤑🤑🤑
  17. Yes,shame Andrew Fitzgerald didn't respond to be Champion Judge,as this may have enhanced my nomination Sheryl Wigg's chances.😜 3 Wigg 2 Herlihy 1 Hall Jnr
  18. Jones,to update you on Aladdin, who you may have followed if still local, being by Sweet Lou.🤩 After competing in The Northern Derby back in March,he clocked a pair of seconds, then crossed The Tasman. Won first up at Mildura as $2.10 fav. Won week later at Globe Derby South Australian Derby $30k Group 3 as $1.10 fav.(Yes $1.10) Last Night at Menangle as $2.30 shot, broke in runup and lost all chance.
  19. Kakama..wholeheartedly disagree.I think it is GREAT that Manukau Doggies Silver Collar Heats share TV Coverage with Jewels.
  20. Hey Gamms. You neglected to mention the biggest attraction in the coverage for me! The dulcet tones and expert analysis of Brittany Graham.😍
  21. Hey Brods/I think it is a play on words taken from HotRods
  22. I cannot agree with You on this Charles. Unless You are referring to The LP who travelled south with Zipping Sarah! I believe Trainer A Turnwald is no more likely to be guilty of administering P to her dog, than Big Red Sharrock to his two horses.
  23. Beach Start:History Qualified as 2yo at Winton Feb 2020 ran 3rd of 6 in 2.00.9 Exported May 2020 Unraced Debuted Oct 2020 2yo Pinjarra finished 12 of 12 Resumed as 3yo April 2021 Winning at Pinjarra Next 5 runs only produced a 3rd.7th.8th.4th.7th/ with career earnings A$6k Then this week Gloucester Park: Draws inside second row/raced 3 back fence/gets off near turn but held up in traffic/taken widest/rockets home/gets up on line. Commentator hails run as quickest finish he has seen for awhile*amazing finish*extraordinary*finished like Beefy T (who was a star ex kiwi Trained by John Green) So,will follow Beach Start's next few runs with interest.🤑
  24. Have wondered what Brodie looks like/never imagined it was anything like LANCELOT LINK.😜
  25. My Unofficial Count Fitzgerald Wins x 19 points**Well done. Runnerup Sheryl Wigg x 14 points What an astute winning drive on Dalness First. Last until the 600/came around beaten horses 3&4 wide into straight/weaved back inside runners onto rail/kept up sustained run to win (even fooled commentator). Illustrated her standing in Amateur Ranks. Congrats to all participants.
