  1. Used to be pretty good I thought but since coming back from Aussie the horses do not seem to run for him as much as they used to. He has been beaten on at least a dozen 1.50 telfer favourites in the last ten months. I used to be confident on the telfer runners but not when he is driving them now days.
  2. On a brighter note. https://harnesslink.com/new-zealand/smith-set-to-honour-greg-sugars-legacy-in-rowe-cup/ Will not be a dry eye in the house if One Over All wins.
  3. Yes tragic news. Gone way too soon.
  4. Doesn't seem real !Greg Sugars passed away last night? https://www.facebook.com/larajayfarm
  5. Yeh that was my gut feel as well. What a waste of time having an inquiry into that. In saying that I was also expecting him to be disqualified because nothing makes sense anymore with some of their decisions. It is never cut and dried even when it is with those guys.
  6. If you could or did get a decent bit of $125,000 you would only do it once because you would be goneburger and never allowed to bet with them again lol
  7. Quinellas and trifectas look ugly in comparison. Can you take 1% Quaddies and first fours? If so those declared dividends would probably be correct if someone only got a few % on betcha.
  8. If you do just back Wigg. She runs rings around the others.
  9. Bookies didn't know obviously
  10. I thought worst affected was the Present Maker and he stayed in fair enough he got some money. Forgiveness not really inconvenienced at all. Galloped on her own after beginning well. Whos Queen also begun well and did not affect her performance. Starter should have been fined for the dogs breakfast of a stand as usual. If it comes down to a call using someones opinion whether a horse gets late scratched then they should sack that person as he/her is hugely inconsistent. This is becoming ridiculous. Never used to be as many late scratching as there is these days. FFS it is a part of gambling. You take your chances in a race if you get bad luck so be it. All the exotic dividends dropped 30% because of the late scratchings. Turnover also pulled out of the pools when they need everything they can get.
  11. Interesting the front line limits say 10 on the website
  12. Did you test a self service machine or a terminal at the counter? Yes the self service machines appear to be better. The touch screens on the terminals according to the TAB staff have been a pain in the arse.
  13. The TAB never think about the flow on effects for many of their idiotic decisions. When you limit betting opportunities and shut down the potential for big payouts, you also kill the excitement and mystique that surrounds those rare, life-changing collects. The buzz disappears, fewer people talk about them, and the dream of landing a big win fades. That ripple effect doesn’t grow the game—it shrinks it.
  14. Has anybody had issues with the new terminals appearing at TABs around the country. I happened to be in there when an old lady was getting some money out of her account and my god what a performance. With these new machines you have to put your account number and pin into a touch screen on the terminal. This old lady was not very tall and with the flat touch panel and from where she was looking it was impossible. It took her at least half a dozen attempts to get the correct numbers into the machine. The people in the line behind her were getting pissed off to the point a couple of them gave up and walked out. Whoever ordered these terminals did not do their due diligence on how people use them and the issues that might arise. Later when talking to the TAB guy behind the machine he said it was a common occurrence and not many people got their details right the first time when inputting their account numbers.
  15. Stopping the pick six and place six also stopped a lot of punters in my opinion. Where they once competed with lotto they can not do that anymore. Give us some bet types that will pay hundreds of thousands not thousands to get those players back in the game.
  16. Not sure either is a big show in town. Public are not turning up at both venues like they once did as far as I know. When trackside started broadcasting free to air I stopped going to the races like I once did. Much easier to sit in the comfort of your own home and watch the races and other sports without filling in the 30mins between races.
  17. Nothing surprises me anymore with the programming. Actually I was expecting it.
  18. Not long before they offer different odds to different accounts depending on who it is. Probably already happening.
  19. That explains a lot if the stewards are behind the snail like results that trickle through. God help us!
  20. Yes her front at all costs style ruined a few of my runners chances when they were carted back at the 400m. It is all good when she leads and has the horsepower but bloody annoying if she is on one that won't get you to the passing lane. Gavin Smith another who drives like that.
  21. Money was in account around same time results were posted. To me this seems to be a no brainer. The result across the line is known virtually straight away so the dividends should be known straight away. How it takes 20mins to get the dividends declared is incompetence in my opinion.
  22. I am talking about the TAB. Specifically the quinella, trifecta, first four and quaddie, treble and doubles results. Hell trackside sometimes don't even post the results up at all. Race three at Winton yesterday took around 19mins before these results were available which is not good enough.
  23. If other countries can post results almost straight away then why can't we? Laziness?, Lagging behind tech wise? Just can't give a F#%K?
  24. 15min to post a result is just a piss take by the TAB, but it took longer than that to get a result for race 3 at Winton today. No wonder the pools are declining. That is absolute shit.
