Yes. Do Your homework. Yes. Sometimes and sometimes. Yes. Yes. No depends on the value. Yes. Sometimes if the value is there. No. Yes

Well it is one I use to great effect and I am betting Brodie does too. If you are any good at punting you know which horses are most likely to break and can eliminate them from your bets and vice versa you know which ones can step and can be confident on. The difference between a good punter who knows everything about the runners including their stepping ability and someone who just backs the favourite is the favourite backers lose money.
-
And you would lose a lot of punters too if the industry in the south turned into a mobile leader biased 1.50 favourite shitathon. Just look at Auckland. I stopped betting there years ago. The only time you get a decent price up there is when the drivers set one up. At least with the standing starts you have a chance of the favourites breaking and getting a decent dividend especially on grass.
-
Yes true that but obviously hit a nerve. Can Brodie and Forbury keep posting tips so I can back the opposite please.
-
Lol thanks Forbury and Brodie. A tip for everyone. Just back the opposite of what Forbury and Brodie say. Brodie is rarely on the money and Forbury even worse.

I sense someone who would bet on two flies running up a wall. Isn't this a harness racing forum?

Mmmm lets see. It would need to be paying $3 - $7 for a place for a start so that narrows it down a bit. Maybe a trotter as well. Sods Law, Prince Teka and The Bloss possibilities on the 14 horse field trot race and plenty others in the same race paying well. I am picking that race you will be looking at. Ready I Am would be on your radar on the other low class trot as I am picking you would have had many a go on BK Dawn from that stable who was always good for a place div at good money. -
Brodie on the money again?

Wouldn't be the first time or the last.

Sheryl Wigg RIB Disqualification Decision
Nowornever replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
If they weren't they all will be now! -
Tell that to Colleen Negus who got hammered by the stipes for thinking the same thing.

Can anyone explain this RIB decision - 23 Feb 2022 - Race 6
Nowornever replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Brodie has no TAB winnings anymore. 1) He is not vaccinated so not allowed to enter agencies 2) Restricted so not worth his time apparently. 3) He stated he is not investing anymore due to #2 -

Yes it is a shit rule and would D Ferguson have been charged if he was the one that galloped? If so then it is just a matter of trying your luck and hoping your horse is the one that does not gallop I guess. -
Just to give some idea on how bad these stipes are and there are dozens of cases every few months but this is a recent one. Bright Glow ran a top fourth on the 11 February at Addington running the 2600m in 3-20.2 2 days later on the 13th February in a weaker rated field it won running the 2600m in 3-23.1 and the stipes go: BRIGHT GLOW - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver I Cameron advised the mare had thrived on a busy racing programme recently and had been suited by the slower tempo of today's race. Now how the stipes think it has improved when it was a bigger run the start prior and has also run three seconds slower than that previous start is a mystery to me. I am of the opinion they are either incompetent and just going through the motions or just don't care! Either way they need to lift their game. I am quite happy to keep pointing out their inconsistencies until they do!
-
Why? It is obvious just by looking at the horses previous starts. On that basis every horse who has not placed in the last few starts who then wins should be asked the improvement question but I can tell you now that is not happening. In this case they are either: A) Targeting the trainer B) Just token asking because of the price and hoping to appease disgruntled punters getting off on conspiracy agendas. C) Just asking to make it look they are doing something. And what happens if the trainer can not explain the improvement in form.....NOTHING! It is a waste of time even asking!
-
RON MCKINLEY - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer T Yesberg advised the gelding had been freshened since last racing and had trialled well in preparation for tonight's assignment. Are the stipes just questioning because of the price the horse paid. Do they not even take into consideration the horses previous performances before asking why the the horse has improved. The horse runs a cracking race to win first up at Addington and then breaks up in it's previous two races over stand starts on different courses and finishes well back. Tonight it starts again at Addington in a mobile and paces all the way without breaking and the stipes ask why it has improved. Even blind freddy can see why the horse has gone much better tonight behind the mobile.

Maybe there should be. The pools and number of horses attending would be a lot bigger.

Last two winners came down the middle of the track. The inside was the slow lane after the heavens opened as is often the case at Alex Park. Good for connections of Magic Four
-
It's going to be a totally different track on Sunday. Might even be called off. I am hoping for a heavy 10 and some $50 outsiders to roll home.
-
There could be 4000 cases of Omicron a day by sales time if it doubles every two days like they say so who knows what this Govt will do if that happens. Might be on or might not be who knows for sure.

Cox a good driver in front but terrible if he gets back in the running.

Think I have only been asked for a vaccine passport once in about 50 shops so it is actually just a waste of time!
