or this on Sunday. COWGIRLS N ANGELS - held up rounding the final turn and raced over the marker peg at the entrance to the passing lane. Authorisation of this runner's second placing was withheld to enable Stewards to review the replays to ascertain whether there were grounds for Protest. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied that an advantage had not been gained and placings were duly authorised. Junior Driver L Whittaker, assisted by S Phelan, admitted an associated charge under Rule 869(7A)(a)(b). After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $150.00.

Alan would like to know if there are trials on the Thursday so he can give them a good hard run the day before the race.

I will be very surprised if it can turn the form around after the tie up issues. Will not get any of my money.

No

Like I have aways said, they can use any excuse and the stipes normally believe them. On this occasion I believe he has been dobbed in and has been caught and the stipes have actually put in an effort for once.

Happy you will not see Brodie giving out any sort of tip on here. It will affect his dividend even though he is no longer "Investing"?

Some of those rules are so back in the 1800s. Not the only one that needs updating.

The decision to disqualify Love The Blues from its win today in Race 8 at Invercargill would have to be the worst decision I have seen in a long while and even the commentators were saying they did not see how it could lose the race in the inquiry. https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=272614&Arg=hrnzg-rSite&Arg=TRUE Yes it ran over the one marker peg that looked like it stuck out too far anyway, but to say it gained an advantage is a long stretch considering it came from six lengths behind the second placed horse at the 100m mark and was still behind the trailing horse after running over the marker. I have seen plenty of examples far worse than this where nothing has happened so what is going on. Have a look at this race from Addington where the second horse actually ran over several markers on the turn and in the straight and gained a clear advantage but held its placing. https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=209033&Arg=hrnzg-rSite&Arg=TRUE Makes me want to give up all together on harness racing after watching that abortion of a decision today.

On the same basis as all the other bookmakers in the world. You do not match their guidelines for managing risk. Hence they do not want your business. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
-
Best use I think will be for stipes looking for evidence of wrongdoings in races. Seems a bit of a novelty that might wear off after a while. I hope they don't use this in live TV. I want to see the complete picture and positions of where horses are not a close up of a horses arse during the race. If I recall correctly trackside tried to experiment with zooming in at the finish of races around mid 1998 and it was hopeless and did not last long as the camera was completely missing horses coming home out wide.

Are businesses allowed to refuse service to customers? The answer is yes! As long as they are not refusing them based on age, sexual orientation, race or disability. Now if the tab were saying we are not taking bets from Brodie because he is mentally disabled old fart who keeps on whingeing about our restrictions you would have a case against them, otherwise any business refusing service is quite legal if kept within the boundaries outlined above. They do cover themselves again in their terms and conditions saying: 7.4. The Board may refuse to accept any bet placed by you without giving any reason. The Board will use its best endeavours to communicate to you that it has not accepted the bet. The Board will not be liable to you for any loss you may suffer as a consequence of refusing to accept a bet made by you. In other words if you don't like it JOG ON!

Yes and the casino should payout triple your money on red and the black as well

I believe this sums up Brodies response to the TAB and to those asking for facts on his unsubstantiated claims.

No argument from me. I was just pointing out there would be no penalty for that drive as there have been dozens of similar drives in the past and the worst that has come of them has been questioning the driver. Also pointing out the fact it is easy to put one over the stipes with any old excuse.
-
If he gets any penalty for that then I will be gobsmacked. I have seen similar drives dozens of times with no punishments or fines. You know the story with the stipes any excuse will do. He will just say the horse is better driven with a sit and coming with one run etc and that will be the end of it.

Definitely not restricted from complaining

I think Brodie is restricted from tipping as well.?

Wayne Higgs copped a suspension for one of the most blatant pull-up jobs ever witnessed at Manawatu one night. His horse Man With The Money would have won by a wide margin if he let it go but he had to give it the biggest stranglehold on it you have ever seen 50m from the post to stop it winning. Video is a good watch although a bit grainy. Those were the days. https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=95938&Arg=hrnzg-rSite&Arg=TRUE

Almost back to a trot at the line albeit like an octopus. Was a winner if it trotted all the way.
