  1. She doesn't need to prove anything, it's purely from an enjoyment factor. I stayed up to watch BC run at Royal Ascot. I don't care about missing Winx run at Randwick for the 100th time...
  2. Who has a spare tongue tie in their pocket?
  3. As I've said before, it's no knock on Winx herself - that's obvious. It's a knock on her connections for not wanting to test the mare against the best in the world. You can offer as many excuses as you want, but they will regret not taking her around the world and considering how much $$$ the owners have, you would have thought the experience would have been better than running at Randwick against staying stablemates every fortnight.
  4. Tab is having a shocker today. Markets closing early, payouts not being confirmed...
  5. Equality huh?.....
  6. You're becoming a worse "after the fact" punter than Thomas...
  7. It does - but with the majority of her racing being in Australia, I was meaning a proper "trip" overseas. Imagine if she stayed in NZ only....
  8. Who said she wasn't one of the best ever? I don't think you're reading very well. The criticism was not of the horse...
  9. The quote and your question don't relate to each other.
  10. It was there this time yesterday. You'd think they would have had it removed by now.
  11. I was talking with an English coworker and they said the Europeans now have respect for BC because it travelled and did the job (albeit narrowly). Winx, at no fault of her own, never got the chance. You can say, "they should have come over to Australia to take her on" but that has never been the case and probably never will be. Sunline travelled to face the best and came out on top once from three starts. That shows you how tough it is to win overseas, especially when they're all trying to beat you (Dubai). It's a shame we'll never see her face the best.
  12. Noticed that too. I'm guessing people teed off at 7am and they took the odds down.
  13. The strapper did look around a bit before giving it. Pure speculation of course.
  14. I told the family - they weren't thrilled with it.
  15. So I'll be standing on the dais for a maiden plate? Not worth going...
  16. it appears to be getting tougher to win big races in Aussie, good colts are retired to stud after one Group 1 win That would make it easier to win Group 1's? - given that all the good colts are retired before getting out of age-group company?
  17. I'm just wanting to know who won Cairns Race 2? Has been leaving me in limbo for 24 hours now
  18. Beauty Generation (apart from moving stables) hasn't traveled either though right?
  19. Well it can become boring. It would be like watching Usain Bolt run against 5000m runners.
  20. It would be a two-horse field with Waller's other "staying" entrants. Very boring.
  21. Same as the aussie sites though.
  22. Everything about Aus racing is better. Horses, races, presenters, commentators, tracks, bookmakers, trainers, jockeys, excitement, atmosphere, people on track. NZ is like a stale picnic... but! we are a vastly smaller nation with a smaller economy and to think we could compete at the same level would be unjust.
  23. They also had wrong times for the main Australian races yesterday for most of the morning. They don't have what time many of the sporting markets close either.
  24. bet365 is good until they limit your bets, but if you're not a huge punter, then it's great. BetEasy is good enough. I used to recommend Sportsbet but hate their new design.
