I can't label a horse the "best ever" until they've raced against the cream of the current crop, however, to the eye, she's clearly one of the best ever.

Did I hear Murtha say that Santa Ana Lane has always been close in Group 1's but never really got the job done? It was something along those lines and he was rightfully put into his place. Happy to be proven wrong, but if you don't know basic information about the game, why are you hosting a show?

You all poke the bear and then cry when he does return fire. Take the good points of his posts and forget about the stuff in between. His posts take some deciphering but he does make valid points, yet... the same members continue to bring up the same arguments and derail the threads.

It all comes down to affiliates. Because the TAB won't allow offshore bookmaker advertising in New Zealand - and the NZ TAB doesn't run an affiliate scheme (which is mind boggling) - then there's no way they can make substantial money.

From memory there were only around 4 people working in the office and then a couple working as printers. The former boss, who has since passed away, was essentially keeping it running because of passion more than anything else.

Sad to hear - that's where I first started. Presumably they're staying online? No real need for a newspaper anyone. If you're not using a computer, you're not making them much money.

To be fair to Thomas, it's usually Barry that chimes in with a smart ass comment, which in turn, kicks off the same drivel we've heard from both on countless occasions.

Singapore racing is sub-par, so Bakar will fit in. -
Any laughter on that show and also the preview show is forced. In Australia, it comes naturally because they're quality characters who don't take themselves too seriously.. yet... they're much more professional than our lot. It's a dim studio setting, dim hosts and not a professional punter in sight - that goes for the preview show (can't even remember its name, that's how bad it is)

It's painful to watch. The tension, awkwardness and overall feel of the show makes me want to never watch NZ racing again.
