  1. I get steriods , cortasone actually in both shoulders once every 4/5 months , fuck you should see me run .
  2. Won't help .
  3. OH fuck off .
  4. It was never cosha , never has been , never will be . But no one can honestly say this was the one and only time he ever done it , it was the only time he got caught .
  5. My point was that if someone is suggesting that a person who has committed a managed process of cruelty on a horse on a walking machine , using an electrical jigger and poly pole , and then giving that person credit for pleading guilty and that considering the number of horses he had thru his hands then in the scheme of things this was really just a blip , stellar even , then maybe he thinks that giving a dog a boot wouldn't be that bad in his world . Never said he committed such an act . I agree completely agree regarding what people can do to each other , but you cannot dilute cruelty to animals simply because people do worse to each other .
  6. And there you go .
  7. You want a rationale debate , he was caught being cruel to 3 horses , use of electrical jiggers and poly poles . He's a cruel bastard . They say he wasn't cruel by nature , if you do it once i'll give you some space , you do it 3 times then you have a cruel streak . Because someone who isn't cruel feels contrition after the first time and won't do it again , you do it numerous times you are a cruel bastard , and more so when you do it for financial gain . Got no idea what the financial cost to him has to do with any of it , he brought on himself . But go on , justify it , you won't be able to help yourself because you just don't get it . I hope you have no animals in your care , i'm sure giving your dog a boot is showing it love in your world .
  8. I have just seen that young apprentice Megan Taylor has died as a result of the fall in R2 at Ashburton today . I'm sure everyone's condolence's go out to her family . Another tragic loss of life on a race course , very sad .
  9. And you must be living in cave on a very small island in the middle of a very large ocean .
  10. Be interesting what kind of reception he gets if he gets re licenced , and who sends him horses . If you cared about your horse and wanted to ensure it's safety and well being it wouldn't be going to him .
  11. Marton Cup day on the 7th of January has been moved to Trentham , they are now racing 4 Saturday's in a row , tough ask .
  12. They have harness races the same day on the 4th , all supposition on my part .
  13. What's different for them covering 8 races over say 10 . I wonder if they don't want more than 8 because they have 11 on Friday and another meeting 9 days after Boxing day and trying to protect the track .
  14. So the good news is the Boxing Day races have been xfered from Awapuni to Otaki , great result for the CD , Otaki will match Awapuni for a raceday crowd , it's generally a family day and Otaki is a great family venue . The odd news , because of TAB services purposes the meeting must have no more than 8 races , now i'm not a great mathematician but haven't the TAB just told us there will be a 8.5mil reduction in funding for the 2nd part of the season , well this is not going to help reverse the downward spiral in turnovers which drive funding . WTF is does servicing purposes mean , come on in this day and age they need to do better than this . I would assume as per normal NZTR have just taken this on the chin in stead of asking some serious questions about why they can't provide races for the CD owners and trainers if numbers are sufficient to run more than 8 races . Shake of head , yet again .
  15. Christ no , the less time he spends on us the better . Panic .
  16. Pass the hat around and cut out the sausage rolls .
  17. Last weeks entrants do get first dibs , if the CD horses don't travel then could end up a field of 7/8 then people complain is it good management of stakes . Would have been better if a certain club had got their shit together and this situation would never have arisen . This is all on one set of shoulders . I agree but put it on at Trentham and might be a field of only 5/6 .
  18. Amongst the vines is definitely Gissy . But as you say Joe , younger generations are being robbed , unless of course they move to the cities and go for a piss up , still doesn't come close in my book tho .
  19. Yes alas , i prefer to call it the lazy Susan of suits .
  20. Doomed , it was the same with the East Coast circuit , 2 days Gisborne followed by 2 days at Wairoa , for years a successful circuit . It brought people into the districts , hence money , exposed people to racing and industry participants took horses there and owners and trainers alike used it as a working holiday , a choice they made , everybody who went loved it and went year after year . I personally got to go to Wairoa when it was a 3 day meeting , hosted by the then president thru his son whom i worked with , to this day the most enjoyable 3 days of racing and associated week of events i have ever been to . But for some reason Saundry and his cohorts said it must cease to save owners money , duh . This type of thinking which is still inherent within NZTR , is what has , and still is stalling NZ racing . As i keep banging on about , the sum of all the small parts help make our whole industry bigger and better , but somehow they just don't get it .
  21. Not sure , but it's a small pool who do just take turns .
  22. The issues are piling up , on top of all the issues we discuss regularly the TAB deficit last week and what is becoming an endemic issue with particular tracks that were earmarked as "A" list tracks NZ racing is at a real cross roads . I call it a crisis now , if confidence was shakey before it could be hitting a new low now , particularly in the CD . I think myself Race are a huge part of this issue , they have issues with both tracks and Otaki before that when they had control there . From what i can gather they also have real financial issues , which were only exacerbated with financing the A/W , they have far too much invested in real estate and are heavily relying on the projections from those real estate deals paying off , and we know which direction real estate is moving at present along with interest rates . Now they have race day payments withheld from the lost meeting and it looks like Awapuni could well be out for an extended period which is a huge revenue stream turned off . But NZ racing as a whole is at a water shed , how they deal with recent events is going to be telling for our future .
  23. Official , Eulogy Stakes to Te Rapa this Saturday . The rationale being that 7 of the 10 runners were from north of New Plymouth .
  24. To be honest i'm surprised that one or both haven't resigned in embarrassment , but here is the rub , it is so ingrained within NZ racing administration that you can continually cock up without any consequences that they just keep doing what they have always done .
  25. Yeah , might be taken aside for TA PR lesson .
