If Cameron George is intending to spend the season there as well surely this makes his racing board CEO position untenable . Surely he will be tendering his resignation to the board ASAP to allow them to find a make a replacement who can fully focus on his job of fixing racing . Overall a fantastic card at Flemington . Anamoe resuming in the Run for the Roses at Kembla Grange , 1200 , not an ideal track for him , J Mac up and riding fantastic so he'll find the right run , 3's into 2.5 . Entriviere also in and well drawn in the Sheraco and opened 2.9 , now 2.5 . I think my focus might be Aus this weekend , open hdcp at Te Rapa open handicap with the highest rated at 84 , hard to compete .

I actually got in touch with the labour dept and they said they could only investigate individual complaints , so they could only investigate an employer if someone complained for that individual and even if they found issues across the board they could only deal to the trainer for that individual case and give recommendations to them on how to improve their systems . So if a trainer had 10 disgruntled staff each individual had to put in a complaint and then they were each investigated separately . No wonder employers take the piss .

They may have paid the minimum rate , but that was for the first 40 hours , the other 20+ hours went unpaid , that included weekend work and public holidays . I knew trainers that wouldn't pay extra on public holidays or give them the day in lieu . A couple tried it on with me but got the short shrift , i would tell other staff their entitlements but most were young and as you say too scared to do anything and the bosses knew it . But i was lucky , a mouthy mother that taught me to stand up for myself and my first job being in the salaries division of the Post Office , so i got to know all the in and outs of wages and salaries . The staff that worked under the first paragraphs conditions , and there were heaps , are the ones who have gone on and told people the stories to family and friends and those connections are put off the industry .
