  1. R4- Ragnarr, should be a hectic juniors race, hopefully can get a sit and at least run a place at odds. R5 - Tiger Moth, unruly might be a good spot to start in this race, plenty of inexperienced horses running the front line. R9 - Toughest race of the night but expect the back markers to run over the top and hopefully after a 2 week break Sundons Flyer can get a nice drag into the race.
  2. I followed FC and Alderbeck when they came over last year, sadly the later has been retired I see but well done to you and the syndicate for the success, for a horse to be running good times shows he's enjoying his work too so long may it continue.... I see another Lilley horse Youneedabitofmuscle has been sacked after 1 race this season and is for sale for $8k, might look into it. Nah I live 70km from Menagle which is way out west, killer traffic even on Saturday stop many going but do love the racing there but only 1 trot race a week, Harold park was a great night out but a terrible punting track. Last time I went to Addinton cant recall the year but it was when Robert Cameron was driving a 2 year old from memory and leading down the straight and did a left turn over the running rail, and coincidently my first time at Harold Park was when I moved to Sydney in 1996 Iraklis won the MM.
  3. Nah Sydney but love my trotters so follow Victoria races a lot- This Saturday night a great battle between 2 ex pat's with Everybody Knows v Father Christmas for $24k but more importantly no Tornado Valley to beat. Easy win last night too for Monaro Mara but too short for me to bet, got into $1.60.
  4. Monaro Maro first run in Australia tonight 23:00 NZ time, 2nd fav at $3 behind former Williamson trotter Zoey's Gift.
  5. First win obviously was the most impressive, last week slogged the last quarter in nearly 32 seconds for the win so good only knows why people backed it in to $1.85. Horse probably never been that far in a float and track did look a bit sticky, the first 200 metres in last 2 starts haven't had the zing she normally has.
  6. Holy crap, Des just said a bet of $12k on NM at $1.85 fixed odds..... sheesh some just have to much money Could have put that on the sharks last night to beat the warriors 13 + and got $3
  7. Sadly for Phil Ultimate Stride staying here in aussie, man he smashed that field last night. Going to be on next season when he goes up against Tornado Valley.
  8. As a punter I'm actually more concerned you are allowed to have your first race as a standing start WITHOUT trialing or qualifying at a standing start. Trotter or pacer surely must prove at least once it can't step away from a tape. Another concern is both Clark's trotters are unruly for the race, not one workout or trail from a stand how does a steward asses this request from the trainer.
  9. First 7 races I'll stay out of. R8 interests me, 14 lower grade runners all without a win in their last 6 starts, so 84 races without a salute so juicy odds should be available. I'll risk Carlo Gambino, better off without the trainer driving and Black Ops even from the draw. R9 Franco Huntington
  10. Went to there website for a little look see and shock horror nada, but at least the main headline "Black Caps put in by Sri Lanka" caught my eye.. Idiots
  11. Nice to see Madeliene Stowie win, does anyone have any info on how Pete and Margo are doing? I see the horse is back with her after the accident.
  12. Jamie the basher Keast is back on Copperhead Rose, think he can win again. Monrika Corona
  13. Backing up on Sunday at Gore, weak field, off the front over 2200 , just don't get stuck behind a tiring Anothersuperstar.. Picket fence formline to continue.
  14. I'm curious what the drivers think of the lack or relegation in these instances. not your 1 or 2 drive a week drivers but Blair, Matty and John Dunn etc. Imagine if every race the winning driver hit the nag 15 times , would the rule change or would they just continue to fine/suspend.
  15. 3 weeks since, horse stated as stood down but nothing from stewards re update, did they forget, not care, are they spending all there time watching Sam Thornley at trails? Cant find any info on HRNZ or RIU. Pretty poor.
  16. Going on that logic I never deserve another shag aver again........ and believe me my last gallop's bet was in Brisbane and the poor thing dropped dead going over the finish line, I could dead set have stopped Winx. Had a profitable day , would have been a little better if Jess had got up but had small % of both first fours, the thing in the last Overarm never put in the race and a 56 last half so was no chance from the back.
  17. Great run on a sticky looking track, hopefully not too high up in the ratings as didn't beat much, going by that might go well on grass over summer.
  18. 4 month spell then 3 races in 7 days, I would expect the horse to be scratched to avoid that scenario , not an overly strong field and tend to think if they were serious about this race he wouldn't have run Friday.
  19. Need to find a winner so I can afford to buy a birthday present for my lady after Ian Cameron stole my money last night .. Tip, first 6 races don't touch. R7 - Jess can get the Flyer home, no fixed odds yet should get at least $7 R9 - Ragnarr E/W might get $12 & $4 R10 - Overarm, has run some decent races and times, not a strong front line so expect a positive drive from TS.
  20. Oh frustrating, got 11s here in NSW and beaten by Ian Cameron who would only win 1 or 2 per season.......... I won't be partaking in the lottery this week.
  21. If anyone can pick the winner of race 4 you're a genius.... I know it's winter but dead set I can't recall seeing this amount of battlers at Addington before all in the same race.
  22. 2nd up Doctor Tim at a godd price. Even from 20m I think The Bloss can win.
  23. Racing Sunday at Oamaru, Anderson still driving but under horse movements the mare is with Mitch Kerr.... wonder why. Best 3 of her opposition are all on the unruly, so if she starts as per usual going to be an interesting chase.
  24. What do you think Balraj would have sold for? a little potential but not ground breaking so I'd imagine a lowish price but you never know as some of these ex-pats easily run 100 plus times in their career and if racing in Vic or NSW very good $$$ on offer. I also see that good little Nelson Mare "Monaro Maro left for Victoria last week.
  25. How ironic the 2 year old trots and wins from the stand yet the 3 year old gallops from the mobile finishing last. Great day and good to see kiwis Tornado Valley and highly rated Scallywag Sam back too.
