Now, all you need is another few resignations and the upward trajectory might be achieved! -
Are there signs of cracks in the Cambridge AWT training ranks?

May I also mention, the Geelong track was used as a training track, it crumbled, it never reached it's expected expiry date, it was a shot duck well before, the kick back was blamed as the main reason trainers refused to race there......also it became shifty, Tapeta has it's on issues, Meydan became known as 'Death Valley'' the breakdowns were so common, you'd think technology would negate most issues, it hasn't....the superior surface has proved to be Strathayr, although when we get torrential rain here in QLD even that can't cope. -

Absolutely NM, I was chatting to a mate who trains up at Toowoomba and he remarked the bloody track was a disaster, he's only got 4 horses in work, but back when they fell for the AWT he said none of his horses liked it, they ran on the pace, they all ended up with leg issues....eg, knees! and his peers all felt the same......As I said before, no-one, no-one picked up the phone and called the TTC.........why the fuck did they pull it up........no one was betting on the races, the city trainers didn't haul theirs up the hill for 2 hours and the track was a white elephant.......but no-one from NZTR.RB called......fucking no-one......what does that tell you about the intellect or lack of at Petone? If stupid was an olympic sport they'd be gold medalists.....FFS! -

And 50% of the horse population are shitting their pants as those that don't/won't handle it face a very arduous pathway. Cue the attrition trainer. -

Are things that bad in NZ? A good country trainer here is about 85 a day, spelling 25 to 30 at the good farms, Widden are about 35, but thats creme de la creme.......nowhere matches Widden.......you have a real problem there with costs, fuel being what it is, well, the end is nigh one feels.........racing for fun, always happen, there will always be rich bastards too, but I feel it in my waters, the new breed of racing enthusiast will not pay a kings ransom for training and upkeep and race for what is being offered. Reality will arrive when the industry fwits go off to Jacinda cap in hand early next year when Paddy Power come knocking.......sadly. -

I can't believe anyone has the gall to charge that for a 'speller'........we've agisted plenty up in the Waikato at very good reputable horse farms and the most we paid is 25 bucks a day.....even The Oaks was good value for money, I'm gobslmaked. No-one holds a gun to your head but these syndicators have you by the short and curlys, geez, you'd wanna read the small print. -
You can't defend the indefensible NM.........the big issue is the lack of racing for maidens before lockdown, and general programming, it's damning, there is clear bias toward the Cartel up north, always was, always will be. When the Awapuni AWT goes in it will give them more ammo to scale back, many horses will NOT handle the AWT, and as it ages as it did at Geelong the kickback will deter even more horses from chasing and being competitive ........CD racing is going backward and won't change, it's too late, far too late, the salary men are safe, the boys club will continue and a lot of horses will be retired through lack of opportunity.
-
Add up the monthly salaries of Saundry and co, the decision makers, not the hive bees, the ones that do all the work, Saundry couldn't organise a one ticket raffle, I'm not sure who is meant to do the programming as the rats nest in Petone is like a mad woman breakfast, but whoever it is doesn't give a cuss, as NM said........the only thing I will add is, vote with your feet, a lot have of course, it's all well and good to say ''we do it for love'' that's why those low lives are still there doing what they do......bringing heartache to the decent coalface people......what an effen disaster this all is......Te Akau have huge numbers in everywhere, if you're a CD owner you'd be entitled to be a tad pissed if you missed a slot to the factory or other Northern desperates.......but that's whats coming........

There are ladies on here, so I'm asking them to look the other way...........a tape on the net called 'Pygmies Rooting''........haven't seen it myself, but a real chance it might be ''the tape''!
-

Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards have today concluded an inquiry into the conduct of licensed jockeys Ethan Brown, Jamie Kah and Ben Melham and apprentice jockey Celine Gaudray upon receipt of information of possible breaches of COVID-19 protocols. The Stewards yesterday charged Ethan Brown, Celine Gaudray, Jamie Kah and Ben Melham with breaching AR 232(b) which reads as follows: AR 232 Failure to observe processes and directions of PRAs or Stewards (b) fail or refuse to comply with an order, direction or requirement of the Stewards or an official The particulars of the charge are summarised as follows: On 25 August 2021, Jamie Kah, Ethan Brown, Ben Melham and Celine Gaudray were present at an “Airbnb” in Mornington after 9pm with two other non-licensed individuals. This conduct is in breach of the current State Government Regulations (namely the Stay at Home Directions) which prohibit private gatherings for persons not otherwise living with one another. The conduct is also in breach of the imposed curfew for Metropolitan Melbourne. Racing Victoria’s COVID Protocols state that any failure to comply with State Government Regulations will be deemed to be a failure or refusal to comply with an order, direction, or requirement of the Stewards or an official. The Stewards continued their inquiry this morning with all four jockeys pleading guilty to their respective charges. Stewards heard submissions on penalty and after doing so took into consideration their guilty pleas, each of the riders’ personal circumstances, that this was their first offence of this nature, that any suspension this time of year includes missing feature race meetings, and that the individuals expressed remorse. The Stewards also took into consideration the serious nature of the offending, the potential severe ramifications that could flow from a breach of Racing Victoria’s COVID-19 Protocols, and that the penalty must be sufficient enough to deter others from breaching the COVID-19 Protocols. The penalty must also be seen to publicly address the seriousness of the offending and make clear that compliance with the COVID-19 Protocols is non-negotiable. Taking into account the above considerations, the Stewards have determined that all four jockeys will have their licence to ride in races suspended for a period of three months. The suspension begins at midnight on 26 August 2021 and will expire at midnight on 25 November 2021. In addition, all jockeys were notified in writing today of their requirements to fulfil the recommendations of Racing Victoria’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) which includes a stand down order of 14 days (beginning today) from all licensed premises and that negative COVID-19 tests must be provided over that period. The jockeys will be permitted to participate in trackwork, jump-outs and official trials once the 14 day stand down order from the CMO concludes on 9 September 2021. All jockeys were advised of their rights of appeal which must be lodged with the Victorian Racing Tribunal within three days.
